- Fox News vs Denmark: Fox News tried coming after Denmark's social safety net. This Danish politician's clap back was legendary.

Fox News went after socialism in Denmark, which was a big mistake. Fox Business Trish Regan claimed in a segment that Denmark’s free education causes a lack of actual graduations - but plenty of Danes have spoken out to prove her wrong.

@@ivans1308
Somebody should tell her we in Denmark has democracy and is using capitalism with social reforms.
We for an example in Denmark has a lot of government owned businesses that are running on a capitalistic premise for an example Ørsted, DSB and danske spil.
Denmark is the nation with the highest consumer price index of all of EU and we have the highest taxation of any EU country.
Denmark is also one of the countries with a highest working for government percentage of workforce.
The reason why Denmark is doing well is because we have a good economic location. By means of transportation we can easily trade with Germany, UK and Sweden.
But ofc we wouldn't have much if it weren't for Danish working mentality.
@@ivans1308 In America it is well understood that any country that provides free health care to its citizens is a socialist-communist country. Just because Americans are ignorant does not mean they cannot be delusional.
To add on to my previous comment, I sincerely dislike the current health system; there have been some efforts but they have all pretty much just been half-assed. There needs to be significant curbs to the cost of healthcare within America, especially for poorer people; however I do believe that healthcare should still be a private industry just with heavy public regulation.
@@cripple9860 Why not both? Here in Norway, we have free public healthcare, but there are also private owned clinics, for those who wish to use those out of their own pocket, or wanting some special types of treatments that may not be available via public healthcare. Baseline healthcare for everyone, and then if you want the best of the best at the cost of your monthly salary, go private.

I don't remember when exactly, but there was a study about social mobility (how far up or down from your current, or your parent's, social status you can move), and Denmark was at the top of the list, with the USA being quiet far down. One concluding comment was: If you want to live the American Dream... move to Denmark. 😊 😂
Ironically, 80-100 years ago, that wasn’t necessarily the case. Denmark was very class conscious. In came King Christian (?) IX and his son King Frederik IX, encouraging more education, equality, and this was continued by the current (soon to abdicate) Queen Margrethe II. One hopes that Frederik X and Queen Mary continue in this vein. Danish Canadian here…
@@irenejohansen1370 Christian X (father of Frederik IX). Yes, King Frederik X, like his grandfather the IX, is an about as down-to-earth average person as can be. And a good reason why 98% of Danish republicans remain temporary royalists.
At the same time, where most populations would protect their royal family, as a Danish Frogman in the military Frederik is fully capable of protecting the Danish population. For anyone not knowing what it is, look up "Danish Frogman", and do incl. pictures (unless you are prone to nightmares).
@@irenejohansen1370 That's not really true. King Frederik VII signed our constitution in 1849 and gave up his power. From the 1920's and up until the 80's, the biggest party was the Social Democratic Party, and they greatly influenced how Denmark is today. Lots of our welfare state is owed to those years. Women and a lot more people from the population was allowed to vote in those years, and the Monarchy is pretty much the absolute opposite of what we have now.
Also, Margrethe II have always been a tourist attraction, nothing else. Some political parties even reject giving the respect that Monarchs usually demand. Give it a few years and we will hopefully be completely rid of our monarchy. All they gave us was inequality and beautiful buildings.

Why do you think the US always bashes them? Its to drop oil prices as Venezuela has the largest recorded oil reserve in the world. No wonder the US wants the current leader out and backed someone else for the role. They need someone who will take their bribes, then once hes no use to them the US will probably invade Venezuela. Much like they did with Iraq and Saddam who the US helped put into power into government in the 1960's and eventually into power in the 1970's. Then once he becomes useless to them they invaded.... twice.
