Thank you, Frank. You explanation was perfect. I watched three videos before this one. They all explained how to create the double-stitch but didn’t mentioned what to do coming back in the pattern. I made my first row and I feel great! 🎉😊 Thanks again. ☺️
I am so happy that I stumbled on this! I have been watching tutorials on German short rows, and your's is excellent. You are clear, concise, but work slow enough so that it is extremely easy to see exactly how to do this. You have a new fan and I will look up your patterns, Thank you.

I don't think it is that much different in the round. The short row turn creates a double stitch. You just always treat that double stitch as a single stitch no matter which direction you encounter it.
It is at the moment. However, the $35 annual membership to TKGA.org is one of the best values in the knitting world. You not only get the next four issues of Cast On, but also you get all back issues for many years, with complete indexes to patterns and teaching articles on almost any subject in knitting. It's an amazing deal, I think.
This scarf is similar to the Archangel Wing Shawl, but it is much easier to knit because there are no increases and decreases and you never move the counter markers. So it is just straight knitting from beginning to end with German short rows making the pattern.

thank you, this just came up for me on a garter stitch pattern that is calling for wrap and turn. german short row would look so much better .
Perfect explanation of how to handle GSR in garter! Now I can continue with the gift shawl I'm making. Thanks!
You are an excellent teacher. Now I am so eager to knit your pattern!

Thank you so much for this method, I love it!
Thank you from Australia.
Very nicely demonstrated, and a great pattern!
Great video. Thank you. Could do a video exactly the same but in the round?

What a beautiful pattern! Is subscribing to the magazine the only way to get it?

This is woven like the archangel? In the archangel I do not understand the parts of the increases that do not weave

شغل فظيع ورائع
❤️❤️❤️❤️
You didn't explain the short row and the turns.you are telling us about your pattern.
It's a bit complicated to explain in words. But the pattern makes it very clear, including a diagram to show exactly how they work.
