There is a safe spot at the well. You can reset your shroud counter.
I use a one-handed weapon but carry a two-handed Axe for breaking stuff up to get their resources - this way my weapon doesn't lose integrity and "break" while fighting. I love it when some towns have a bench for repairs, though - that's the first thing I look for. 🙂
I often just use my felling axe to break stuff, though I spend much less time breaking random objects now than I did at the start
Lol. I just got around to watching this older video. But the moment you realize there's an excellent source of early flint right near where the game wanted you to place the original altar. 😂

That chest at around 9:46 did reset. You could search it again. It just didn't close the lid for some reason. (it did it to me too)

Do the terrain edits persist? Is that pseudo-mine you started still there or did it reset?
It'd kind of suck if all terrain edits outside of the build areas reset, but I can see it being good for making sure you can get unlimited resources.

Should watch where the tombstone is on the compass. If you don't drop any materials on death then there won't be a tombstone.

Is the menu/map lag caused by having "Limit FPS in background" set to off?
Shouldn’t be but I’ll test. That’s more about if I tab out of the game it should keep running at the same fps. Trying to avoid impact to stream quality when I click over to obs or my stream page on browser.
What does water do for your stamina?
Food all has a particular buff in the game, and you can have 3 running at once. Water gives you a small boost to stamina and the stamina recovery rate.
