7:20 -- I don't see parry swaps like this anymore, they used to be all the rage back in DS3 (that and swapping to ultra before critting). I'm happy to see we're going back to the classics. The highlight is still that Colossal War though.
yeah they really did nerf menu swaps, if you get hit by anything at all it will blackout the menu blocking your swap, so when landing a parry now its not as worth it to go for the hard swap sadly. i really wish they would revert it to allowing you to access your weapon menu when hit and during jumps.

Far as I know, we're getting some kind of Martial Arts hand/foot weapon, a (Large) Katana?, a throwing weapon, the giant pot might count?, and potentially a shieldblade, but that means we have something like 4-5 more "types" of weapon still to discover out of the eight being added. Personally, I'd love to see any of these; - A gladiator net - Bladed fans - Tonfas - Nunchucks
9:34 I actually didn't realise that Oath of Vengeance had an endure-like effect until I looked it up after seeing you fight this guy. I initially thought he was spamming the skill because his endurance was too low for him to mid-roll without the +5 but apparently they buffed the stat buff duration to like 1 minute a while back.
i think the fact that they go invisible makes the timing for parries on the second half of the bloodhound fang pretty easy once you get used to it. just about everybody below RL 80 uses it
I've been rewatching your old DS3 invasion videos because I really miss when parries and backstabs were the way to deal with ganks. Glad to see more of that! Elden ring AOE ashes of war that deal 1000+ damage are not as engaging to watch I find.

What lvls are PvP/ invasions active nowadays? My main is 200+ (if I remember correctly) and I had a couple 60 alts I used for invasions/ PvP.
Potential video idea / something I've been having fun with is a great shield and a curved sword with parry. Its hard to land, but when you have a great shield most people will rush you, and if you block they're likely to r1 spam your shield... Wish means you can kinda time your parry more easily lil

I like the xbox pro one - I remap to use two rear paddles as lock on and off on the right and Y on the left for access to the pouch. I think I will try swapping the left one to menu for hard swaps. @@kiltysalter2966
Did you watch Smough's Blood Star video yet? I have thought Mesmer was the progenitor of the Briars since the first trailer but maybe others think different? Maybe you cam sync your videos to community discussions to maximize your views?
My dearest wish for the DLC is that along with there being a lot of story content (new actually unique ending like Stars or Frenzy pls I beg) they tune up the connection requirements a bit. I think the generally more difficult-to-get backstabs and parries (arguably) compared to DS3 aren't necessarily a bad thing, but if you have a bad connection it goes from being a bit more forgiving to the person on the receiving end to being outright punishing for the backstabber or parryer. Getting locked into a backstab that won't connect on a bad connection is brutal, and bad connections have always made parrying far more difficult or damn near impossible. I don't mind my high-risk play getting me punished, but it should at least be reliably because I'm bad at the maneuver and not because my opponent has become Goku due to connection issues.
Always wanted to know if you invade from a certain grace or if you move around the map to proc for invasions. I personally have to change graces for invasions both near and far to prox the invasion
I'm confused Chase, why are you using magic grease when your int is a dumped stat? Wouldn't fire be better on str? I'm a relatively new player hence the confusion.
