I worked strawberries for 20 years in Australia, picked, packed and planted 250,000 a year....i loved it especially picking. Paid piece rate, very good money
It reminds me of planting tobacco. It’s hard work…but it’s honest work. Good stuff.
Dang how old are you? You guys are amazing! The world needs more men like you all.
Very impressive.
U probably don't know but u inspired me
Thanks!! I really appreciate you watching!
Also you can have 1 or 2 people walking behind to get the ones you can't get at that speed.
Bed prep looks great!
Bro thanks so much for this information very grateful
Your bed prep looks wonderfully done!
Thanks. I learned lots from last year!!
Moses at the End😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
That's alot of strawberries! It looks soo good! Good job you motivated me to start doing more!.
Thanks man!
Those drone shots are awesome 👌
Thanks!
I wonder if you could mount a screen that connects to the camera so he can see how fast to drive
Plant ever other one or whatever you need to keep the tractor going. Then tie the water wheels up and come back on the same bed and get the ones you missed to be more efficient and save on your clutch.
The is what we did before we got a hydrostatic tractor
Am so impressed with your work
Great video...Like the longer videos..Moses does a good job with the camera too...Have watched all your videos....
Thanks for all the support!
That's a lot of work! Much respect!
Thanks for Watching
Hi, I am from India. Your videos are inspiring. Keep going 👍

Hey That was me haha.
We saw the tractor with the strawberry spot maker in the last video, "hand planting", still a lovely sight to see all those strawberries go into the ground~
Thanks for Watching
Hi..im sri lanka..grt job..
Mate thats alot of strawberries, you gone need like 10-15 people at least to pick this amount of strawberries, daily
Chop chop...asset utilization. Turn the lights on and eat your Wheaties.
How are the Blackberries doing? The old canes removed and laterals pruned? Man farming is a lot of work!
The blackberries are doing great! We removed all the only canes and are now training them on the RCA trellis
@@farmerdre1 👍
y'all some workin' fools! More power too ya!
Thanks for the support
Dre, You will be better off with a tractor that has a creeper gear rather than a hydro in my opinion. We have tried both and the creeper works better for us. We have a 1600 series II Rain-flow and we pull it with a New Holland Workmaster 120. You can get them with the creeper gear. If your are interested in new tractor, you should check them out. They also have a 95 and 105 model.
The funny thing is I was just looking for a tractor 😂 I'll look into in. Thanks
How much clearance underneath does it have? I need a tractor to spray with. I need at least 15-20 inches
@@farmerdre1 I have never measure it. I will tomorrow and get back with you.
Dale muchachos 🤣
You're not moving fast enough lol
Amazing video, like
Thanks!
This is wow! Do you replant yearly
I have land as well in Missouri trying to get established what kind of berries and where do you get them from as anyone else trying to cut corners and learn from other anything you can help with would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance
Wanting to plant an acre for next year what a good source to get plugs from?
Great video. !!!! How do you watered them.
Hellp
💪🏼 Trump 2020 🇺🇸
😂😂😂
What size beds are you making and what is your row spacing? Also what is your spacing between plants?
hi, from your experience, how many acres of land does it take to support a family? 5 people, enough to live on
instead of the two of you guys trensplanting, only one could be doing that and the other just getting the plants outta the try and hand them over to the transplanter, that way it goes faster than what I saw n the video.
What is the protrays mix for strawberry plants brother??
How often do are you going back through the field to trim runners?
All depends on the growth of the plant. If you have lots of runners the plant is happy and you need to take them off. We take them off 2 times in the fall. In the spring we dont even touch them!
So you always remove the runners?? I planted my 1500 plants this spring on the ground.. Not on plastic. I wish I would have seen this video then. Should I remove all the runners? Why is that?
Great job. Do you have the blueprint of the greenhouse? Is it made os steel? Or galvanized pipe?

I buy all mine from here
How about pears and plums?
Fire blight will kill all of out pears
Farmer Dre, just wondering what you paid a thousand for your Strawberry plants?
We paid around 27 cents per plant!
@@farmerdre1 so about $270.00 a thousand! Sound like a good deal thank.
@@larrywalters6195 yes now times that by 33!!
@@larrywalters6195 it's the best priced in the midwest
@@farmerdre1 Would they ship to western Pa. At Blue Eye Maple Syrup and Strawberry, we raise most of our stock Our number one berry is Ozark Beauty this is an everbearing plant one acre has produced up to 12,000 qts.I have not found any berry that comes close!!
Hey, where i could check of buy such seeding platform for tractor?
What spacing do you guys run between each plant
How much do you buy each seedling for?
Who do you buy your plugs through?
What pump do you use to irrigate with the tote?
.5 hp
Is the water wheel worth it? Or would you think it depends on the soil? We were planning to burn holes on our strawberry farm on Wi. But we dont have a water wheel. It will be our first year starting in 2021.
I have found ours very helpful
It depends how many your planting, if you plant more than 5 or 6 thousand then I would highly recommend getting one. With the traaplanter we planted 1000 plants in 40 mins! That's 2 seconds per plant! Dosent get easier than that!
@@farmerdre1 thanks! We are starting with about a 1/4 of an acre. Might have to look into it for future expansion.
My kids love you too. They always saying "Faramer Dre back at ya."
Farmer Dre trying not to hate but you guys are a little slow we have the same machine but with a little older tractor me and my brothers were able to do 1000 feet rows in 15 mins but you’re new to this it will get easier and better over time
@@tapsfordays5548 no way
Man yall are spoiled! We did them all my hand and without a tractor. The tractor is to slow...
can i get job ? :D
