    It reminds me of planting tobacco. It’s hard work…but it’s honest work. Good stuff.

    Plant ever other one or whatever you need to keep the tractor going. Then tie the water wheels up and come back on the same bed and get the ones you missed to be more efficient and save on your clutch.
    The is what we did before we got a hydrostatic tractor

    Dre, You will be better off with a tractor that has a creeper gear rather than a hydro in my opinion. We have tried both and the creeper works better for us. We have a 1600 series II Rain-flow and we pull it with a New Holland Workmaster 120. You can get them with the creeper gear. If your are interested in new tractor, you should check them out. They also have a 95 and 105 model.

    instead of the two of you guys trensplanting, only one could be doing that and the other just getting the plants outta the try and hand them over to the transplanter, that way it goes faster than what I saw n the video.

    How often do are you going back through the field to trim runners?

    • @farmerdre1
      @farmerdre1  3 роки тому +5

      All depends on the growth of the plant. If you have lots of runners the plant is happy and you need to take them off. We take them off 2 times in the fall. In the spring we dont even touch them!

    • @kennethwaldner4101
      @kennethwaldner4101 3 роки тому
