- The DVD "Pagan Folk Lore" added a new dimension to OMNIA's recorded work with the absolutely stunning combination of sound and motion captured at the very first Fairy Ball concert. This DVD came in a lavishly illustrated Fairytale book written by Steve Sic and illustrated by master- artists Steve Sic, Miez and Alan Lee.
"Pagan Folk Lore" was released on August 1st 2008.

Truth
I first found their group years ago and that’s what pushed me even more to study music. Even found myself a good quality Celtic harp!
im not from Europe , never went there and never saw any country or anything . i doknt know why but everytime im listening to folk music i can feel something... i can fell nature , i can see nature... . my soul knows so many thing that i dont know !!!!!
Me too... and I am Mexican. But it is such lovely music, it makes you really feel and imagine Norsemen of long ago (I love reading and investigating on their culture) and how they lived.
@@alehernandezrosales5887 nice that you like the music but this isn't much to do with "norsemen". It's a crossover of different traditional folk sounds.... and very much inspired by pop music...

The worst job as a wife and mother is doing the dishes after dinner. Now I listen to Omnia and the dishes are completed with a dance and I look forward to dinner tomorrow lol

Taking absolutely nothing away from a very capable musician, you could. Start now, put about an hour in a day, and give yourself three short years, and you'll be there.
This is one of the most amazing things I have ever discovered.

i was watching Bathory vids and accidentally clicked the link to this.. the didgeridoo at the beginning got me interested enough (as i'm Australian) and i have to admit i listen to mostly black metal and folk metal but this was Amazing! absolutely enchanting..
It's great to see people dancing in the old ways.

These were indeed a spiritual experience.
on time a small stage , trees all around us, it had rained a lot before so the place for the audience was one big mess.
So I stood there barefoot, ankledeep in the mud.
and it made it just more intense.

There were a lot of changes in the past, Style, Band members but I recently looked in Wikipedia and their Homepage and I was confused that a lot of band members had left again?
I Just don't know.
Its Covid time, of course everything is on hiatus, but I was wondering that this was the only reason.
But I cant speak english so Well, so I won't swear that I understood it all correctly

Bought the album straight after watching this, an excellent pagan folk band. Food for mind, body and soul (puts the Lockdown into perspective at any rate).
Like an ages old ritual. Music around the fire, story telling, peace, music, happiness, flying spirits... Enjoy.

Awesome. Was googling Cerunnos when this came up. Watched the entire concert as the veil grows thinner by the minute...it brought me to the other side as I dance the spiral and spin it....love it! Love it! Love!

Their new CD,"Earth Warrior" just came out this week!
2020 has done such a number on my attempts to get out to interact with other pagans. Watching videos like this has at least helped to transport my spirit to a realm where we can all dance and sing and honor Nature together.

I cried for a solid hour, transfixed by the beauty of the music, when I found this video the other night. It's been a long time since music moved me that way.
Ditto apart from the tears. Phenomenal. The energy from their music............ I was moved to comment 'I've just drunk deep from a well I only dream't existed...............' Because this is their life and not an 'act' they put on for money I think there in lies their magic, this magic.................. Enjoy. Bye like mind......................

Just watched this again after quite a while... and yes, this is one of those "once in a century" - concerts.
Saltatio Vita is the most amazing song I've ever heard. That raw energy, the power and the sheer enjoyment on all of their faces is something I've never seen before. This music is incredible and calls to a part of my soul that I never knew existed anymore.

I find it ironic that pagan music sounds like it comes from the soul, whereas Christian music sounds corporate and formulaic.

Wow! I've been listening to Hedningarna at every opportunity today, (after being introduced to European folk music by the most magnificent Mintti), and this concert has blown my mind. As a novice didgeridoo and tin whistle player and lover of traditional folklore and tribal vibes, this concert has thrown me into the perfect place right now. If I could benefit in a band, I'd like to express myself like Omnia does.

Love this video! I listen to it all the time. It has a more pleasing quality to it me than some of the others, though I like them. This group meshes so well together that they compliment each other and the result is great. Whoever did the taping did a wonderful job of capturing the passion of the players and spirit of the music.
