He has to pay the money but what he did is filed bankruptcy in order to basically condense all payments to one and lose the interest. He actually did the right thing and should be applauded not looked down on.

Yeah. It's obviously the right thing to do considering your credit score goes to absolute zero.
The right thing was he could of did what he said and filed to have ALL debt removed. But he chose the correct way that allows debts to be paid, and the court has oversight on his business to make sure debts are being paid. Its a restructuring of the businesses he has.
The business does not have to be in debt to be part of the bankruptcy, it is just included because it is part of his assets. He can own a business named 50 inc and another Fifty Inc. If 50 inc is making money it does not matter if Fifty inc is in debt bad because they are still owned by one person filling claim.
So the money he had could of been legit earned money from a good business, but under the court he was not allowed to use it till it decided what debts needed to be paid first.

It’s driving a business into the dirt by pulling out too much money and underdelivering on the product, then doing damage control so that the state cannot touch your private funds. It’s fraud, and it’s always been fraud in my opinion. If you kill your business and come out on top then you pretty much openly admit that you have pulled money out of your business beforehand. It might be a way of getting/ staying rich but it’s unethical and you pretty much have to be dead inside to do stuff like that. Only thing worse is bankrupting a casino. How do you even do that?!?!

Artists make money as long their songs are being streamed or cds purchased. They get royalty
Like he said, there's a difference between a chapter 7 bankruptcy filing and a chapter 11. Doesn't mean he's broke but the courts need to get involved to help straighten things out so that money gets to the people who are owed it. It was still very foolish of him to post pictures like that, but he has a public image to maintain. Even though he probably hurt that image, he thought he was keeping up appearances by posting pictures of him with money.
