You totally saved my life with this! I've been struggling to figure out how to start finding resources for our Colonial America unit and I feel like you did all the work for me. Thank you so much! As a fellow homeschooling mom, I know how valuable time is and I appreciate that you take the time to share your process. Also, helpful hint after years of dyeing fabric for projects - using a mordant makes a HUGE difference for getting bright colors with real staying power.
Thank you for the tip on fabric dying! And thank you for your kind words and understanding of the time to make this content ☺️ I hope your history unit is a success!
Did you use the 8th grade Live Education American History for this unit? If not have you used it? We are using it this year so curious what you think about it.

how do you prep for units? have you done a video on that?
Yes I have. I have how I put units together for each unit, and sometimes I share more in depth how I shop for the unit as well.

I haven't, so far I've used my own version of a main lesson block with my own resources.
I love seeing all of the resources and project ideas from your unit videos. How do you teach language arts/writing?
Thank you! While I do use my own curriculum for language arts, I have in the past used and loved first language lessons by Susan Wise Bauer.
Great inspiration! I love these video. Thank you!
Glad you like them!
I know American girl published great arts and crafts series.

Oh good question, I think the picture books I shared would be suitable.
Did your son used the same loom ? If not, what did he use ?
Nope! I'll be sharing another tutorial for that one.
