Heres a tip if you dont want the hair falling off, make the strainer warm, but NOT hot, the heat melts the fake hair, so have warm heat should do the trick! (I watched a lot of doll revamps/makeover growing up lol)

You can straighten doll's hair by dumping it's head in boiling water, and comb. It may need repeating since this hair is very structured. Anyway, the result is very pretty.
I do customized dolls, so I have a tip for the hair melting issue. Comb out the hair. Boil a pot of water, take off the heat. Let the water settle so its not boiling but still very hot. Stand the doll up in a glass or something in the sink, coat the hair in something like conditioner or fabric softener that will help protect it. Then pour the super hot water down over it. You may need to use rubber bands to hold the hot straight hair down in place while it cools and dries so it doesn't crinkly back up.
When I was a kid, I had exactly one black Barbie. One winter, I had really bad bronchitis and missed almost a month of school. I decided to braid that Barbies hair in tiny tiny braids. It took weeks to get it all done between coughing fits. 30 years later, I just gave that Barbie to my aunt for her granddaughters. Her braids are still intact and look great. I'm so proud of ten year old me's braid skills 😂

Babes, you need to use the lowest setting on the hair straightener. Or you could use a mug of extremely hot water and dip the doll’s hair in it to straighten it. Also, if you ever want to brush wet doll hair do it from tip to root. Never start at the root/scalp because you’ll end up losing a ton of hair.

I liked the electric kettle that xCanadensis uses for her doll hair makeovers because she sets it at a specific temperature so there’s no room for error in temperature that could result in damage of your doll’s hair

Slay!! Here’s how to make brownies in 5 steps! Melt the butter and mix in with the cocoa powder. Add flour to that mixture. In a separate bowl, beat eggs with sugar. You can straighten doll's hair by dumping it's head in boiling water, and comb. It may need repeating since this hair is very structured. Anyway, the result is very pretty.
I do customized dolls, so I have a tip for the hair melting issue. Comb out the hair. Boil a pot of water, take off the heat. Let the water settle so its not boiling but still very hot. Stand the doll up in a glass or something in the sink, coat the hair in something like conditioner or fabric softener that will help protect it. Then pour the super hot water down over it. You may need to use rubber bands to hold the hot straight hair down in place while it cools and dries so it doesn't crinkly back up.
or you could just turn on the straightener, wait for a few seconds, turn it off and start straightening. If it cools down repeat.

When I was a kid, I had exactly one black Barbie. One winter, I had really bad bronchitis and missed almost a month of school. I decided to braid that Barbies hair in tiny tiny braids. It took weeks to get it all done between coughing fits. 30 years later, I just gave that Barbie to my aunt for her granddaughters. Her braids are still intact and look great. I'm so proud of ten year old me's braid skills 😂

Babes, you need to use the lowest setting on the hair straightener. Or you could use a mug of extremely hot water and dip the doll’s hair in it to straighten it. Also, if you ever want to brush wet doll hair do it from tip to root. Never start at the root/scalp because you’ll end up losing a ton of hair.

You can also heat up the straightener and then cool it a bit so that it won't melt the hair
@@Mino_art16 yes, although that is less precise and “let it cool a little bit” is subjective in that what I might assess and consider cooled down and what someone else considers cooled down could be very different temperatures. I liked the electric kettle that xCanadensis uses for her doll hair makeovers because she sets it at a specific temperature so there’s no room for error in temperature that could result in damage of your doll’s hair
