Thanks James, also, by chance I was on Wolgan Road so I went up that steep climb at Baal Bone and it’s in the same condition as the last time I did it. I’d forgotten how steep it is so Ideally you’d need a rear locker, if not a bit of momentum to get up the last bit. We went as far as the lookout at Ben Bullen. 👍🏽
Thanks for sharing mate, good to see it’s slowly growing back out there. I’ve turned around because of the big holes at the end, didn’t notice the chicken track, have to look harder next time!👍
The climb up has degraded a fair bit since I did it 6 months ago. I did 4WD training last week with a club I've joined and they taught me a lot about traction control. When you stopped there (I can see you are cross axel so maybe you were dead in the water but...) , you need to give the car longer to get traction control active and trying to sort it out for you. You'd be amazed at what it will do when given the chance. I used to give up pretty quickly but now give it longer and the ute generally sorts it out! Our training in Marangaroo has us climbing steep slippery hills with wombat holes and/or rocks and the TC didn't let me down once.
was up that direction on thursday friday some of the fire roads had been worked on and other areas let go especially turon rd between sofola and stropes crossing the area is very overgrown
Really appreciate what you do and the calm and informative approach, all subscribed :)

@@Challenger4WD thank you again, I don't have a rear locker but I will be careful and see how I go :)

It’s easy after the chicken track too. Nice loop back out to Castlereagh Hwy. 👍🏻

It’ll only get worse I guess, every time it rains. 😀 👍🏻

90% didn’t burn so there’s plenty of places that could be impacted, hopefully not for a while though!
@@Challenger4WD hopefully as the camping spots are overgrown would not camp as the grass would be right to the tent door
