88-89 and 89-90 Jordan where he was balding, but hadn't started shaving his head yet was the best MJ IMO
2:43.. who gets that kind of applauds at opposing teams stadiums, WTF!!
GOAT
that was the Timberwolves first home game. I was there in the Metrodome. The place came unglued for anything he did. When you go 40 years between seeing pro hoops the crowd was starving for anything to cheer about.
@ro42023
yea talking about pure shooter. this guy was rarely mentioned. people always said miller and allen and such 3pt shooter as pure shooter. but really if you look at mj' s career at least half of his shots were made as jumpers. jordan's form is almost always perfect, to me, more pleasing then ray allen. jordan also has better elevation for his jump shot. pure shooter is confusing in definition anyway, ray or miller never just shoot the ball from the outsides, they are not that pure.
So many sick plays in this one, but one you might not notice is at 4:37 - look how quickly he changes direction with the between the legs dribble and blows past the defender.
OMG I just saw Jack Haley playing in a game
💯 Hilarious 😂
He wearing the fire red 4's here
Simply spectacular. The ultimate showman.
"Oh, does he know every piece of that backboard" :)
I have one ticket from this game. AMAZING
I don't see how they can see LeBron anywhere close to Jordan delete the day is so soft is more like today like it's a pickup game
lol stacy king was fined 500 dollars, and scott hastings 1500 dollars. wow, how things have changed
MJ is amazing haha i don't have much to say everybody knows that
BACK THEN THE NBA WAS GIVEN OUT FINES BETWEEN 500 AND 1500 DOLLARS THATS SUMTHING YOU WILL NEVER HEAR IN TODAY'S LEAGUE.
Whoever got that towel at 6:14... you are a lucky person...
@popeyeisgood hell yea, MJ even stated in an interview that players are being payed outrages amounts of money and they havent even been played a minute of NBA basketball. they are being held at a standard that they havent gotten to.
Jordan always squares up to the basket as well. i noticed that i dont do that while i played and then i practiced it and i was amazed how many more shots i made after i corrected that. i also worked on the stoppin on a dime technique he uses. so effective
to do that in a back to back...wow...Im gonna have to look up this Pistons game they were referring to
Man can fly @2:45
@ro42023
yea haha.
that shows how much more these pro players now are earning. blowing way out of proportion.
the amazing thing about jordan ( especially comparing him to the super stars now and then) is his ability to just shoot over people off the dribble. he could always get a clean look and he always got higher than normal elevation.
unhuman...
Sometimes I wonder if Michael Jordan isn't actually part nephilim blood...
First time I've ever seen Jack Haley in a game uniform...
Does anyone know where I can find that sick behind-the-back-pass by Joe Dumars to Rodman on the break. He cought it in the air and played it to Rodman alley-oop style :)
Ah, my mistake. True
That dunk at 2:40 is massive
Jordan never averaged a FG % that high, his career average is around 49%. The highest average is Artis Gilmore at 59.9%
moviegoer23 - 49.7% and that's only because his last stint in the NBA as an old man on the Wizards dragged it down. Over 50% as a Bull and 54% was his high in '91.
Too much revisionist history.
If Mj played today with the wide open paint, who knows what he'd average.
Artis Gilmore was a Center standing 3 feet from the hoop, hence the high percentage.
Jordan was consistently higher than 50% sometimes 53-54%
His two years with cracked ribs at age 40 really messed his averages up
Leaving the bulls in his mid 30's in 1998 Jordan averaged 51% FG at 31.5 ppg
They'd only played 3 games at that point.
WTF 39.3 Season PPG...
3 games into the season bro chill
Yeah but he averaged 37.5 just a few seasons before this and was the only player besides Wilt to score 3000 points in a season. MJ could have continued to score like this but in '89, Phil Jackson became head coach and brought the Triangle Offense in - MJ was informed his scoring would drop but the Bulls would win. He said yes naturally.
To me, this defines MJ and its why he gets my respect. Anybody half as good as him would have let his ego control him but MJ was extremely intelligent and he was not prone to letting his emotions control him. MJ always made the smart choices throughout his career and consistently fought for team first. He was always gracious with his teammates publicly and especially towards Pippen. Accepting the Triangle was the smart thing to do but most players would have rejected this to some degree if not outright - not MJ though. He was too smart for that and to me, he always seemed to be a wise, long term thinker.
i really love your uploads....
