I was wondering if you would ever get to this minemy mom lives on the river around the corner from this mine and we fish lost creek especially around that bridge
My daddy worked for APCO for 35+ years. He got permission to go through Gorgas and the mine, just everything above ground. For an 8 y/o boy it blew me away.
Im guessing this is private property now, were you able to contact anyone? I know where the portal is, I just didn't want to cause a problem taking a look at it
I think I would have stopped exploring and threw a fishing pole in that creek. That water looked great.
Should have went over to the old shop buildings they have a lot of old equipment over there
Remember driving under the conveyor system many times as I traveled from Jasper to my girlfriend's house on Franklin Ferry Road.
The conveyor ran alongside the road on the bridge.

The animal remains in the fan house we’re deer bones. A hunting club located on the property disposed of their remains there.
Really glad to hear this, that is very Good News. Very many thanks to the folks who did that👍

Well, we were moving alongside the creek when we found it. Had no trouble but the sections next to it is private property.
