Only thing I don't like about cooking is using water. You drink a jar of water, and the empty jar goes into your inventory, ready to be filled again. However if you make boiled eggs, boiled meat, or corn on the cob, for some reason the campfire eats your empty jar. If you're not careful, you could end up in a bad spot.
The wasteland is so anxiety inducing, unless you're on an actual road in that biom being in the rubble you gotta be on extreme look out for landmines. The hubcap mines are especially hard to see.
I hate those damn mines!!
It's the dogs that always get me! Especially those sneaky bastards that don't make a sound until on top of you, biting your a$$!

I’ve backlogged this game for years now my friend has it on gamepass. He for some reason knows how to play like a pro day one. I died 3/4 times in the first 20 mins. Thanks for the videos. Your a big help. Imma take my new skill set and show up my friend lol
Always craft arrows first to boost weapons crafting
I died several times aswell.Im still plucking up the courage to load it up and do day 7.
Focus on improving blunt weapon skill early on as it will always be what you rely on in the most dire situations. Use wooden clubs to clear grass around your base to increase the skill through use.
Fighting zombies is about learning your reach and timing. Learn how close you need to step in take your swing and step back, its easier while running to begin with so the movement is faster but once you learn it a wandering horde of 20 can be clubbed to death without ever running. Aim for the head whenever possible of course.
Why not wooden clubs?

It is better to wrench refrigerators, after you find a wrench. can get higher components
If you find a full-size safe or a smaller one inside a wall then just use your stone axe to remove any block holding that safe in place. It will fall and break, turning into a backpack that you can loot. A much easier way of getting to the contents than banging away at the safe itself.
Some smaller wall-mounted safes will remain floating in the air though.

I normally keep the paper to sell as it sells for a good amount. Also, I've found that you get better/more levels in bartering if you sell individually rather than in stacks. eg selling one painkiller 50 times is better than selling 50 painkillers in one go. I'm sure it only works this way on console.

@@Thunderlord_Tozn literally nothing since alpha 15 so if you stopped playing before then you might see something new. But compared to the PC version, which is available through game pass PC, console is outdated by at least 5 major updates.
Always make arrows before anything else. They boost weapons crafting and then make whatever else.
Arrows before anything else? Um no… lmfao insane mode an arrow isn’t going to do shit. If you’re playing easy level like a bot then yeah I guess craft you some arrows 🤣

The great thing about this game is we can all do what the hell we want
Turn the tallow into torches to free up inventory and provide light in dark places and at night time. You can place torches on the walls so that you don't have to hold them.
Dark houses suck zombies everywhere in there
Pro tip if you are having problems with fast zombies shoot'em in the leg which if you have high skill in any range weapons it will decapitate thier leg and leave them crawling

This is probably the most useful tip I’ve seen in the last hour aside from scrapping almost everything. The combat system seems fun if you can pull off stuff like this. Can’t wait to play this.
Pro tip if you find a safe just mark it on your map and come back when you have a iron or steel ⛏️
@Spartan-85 you could have made grilled meat with the cooking pot, items highlighted in white in the crafting menu and not dull means it's craft able n dull means you don't have all required materials. And grilled meat was highlighted white with the cooking pot so you wasted your meat by making charred meat. I hoped I was helpful to you as your videos are helpful to us all greatly. I thought you needed the cooking grill to make grilled meat? Maybe I had the grill in there idk. Normally it will be white and then it will say cooking grill required at the top right. Thank you for the tip, very much appreciated!!
For dogs, the roof isn't safe, they can climb ladders like regular zombies. Dumb but I found out the hard way with 3 dogs
If you want your bow to be a higher instead of making a bunch of bows make alot of stone arrows it raises youe weapon smithing very fast early game

@@dantedlane2 make a crap load of cobblestone in the beginning because things like the bike parts and motor parts can be crafted/upgraded at a much higher level.
Along with make a shit load of normal bandages and use them it raises medicine skill

I haven't payed too much attention to wood vs coal but I know it doesn't effect how long it takes to cook stuff.
If anything coal might last a little longer than wood but I never use it because I use it for gunpowder later in game and wood is renewable and abundant while coal is limited and non renewable.
If this was minecraft ide say use charcoal because you can cook wood into charcoal and it's far more efficient.
In 7d2d you can't make charcoal by burning wood so I only use wood when cooking stuff.
Yeah coal is great for making gunpowder for sure
You can grow wood, dont waist coal on fire.
Select what you want to cook and quantity to see time needed then only add enough fuel to complete the cook. If you never put more than 5 minutes at any time you will not get screamers.
Yeah you shouldn't waste coal early in the game, you will need it to make gunpowder

A tip might be not to leave items in zombies, just chuck it. if you leave stuff in them they take way longer to despawn, in an area you are building in this can tax your system a lot causing pauses ect, worst case crash, im not as sure but feel when i leave a lot of bodies around they jib away immediately as you drop new zombies causing a lot of missed loot.
I like to make as much golden rod tea as I can to build up my wellness quickly
Golden rod tea with eggs and bacon. This is definitely the way to go early game. Also, since golden rod tea cures dysentery, you can eat the sandwiches and just chase it with tea if you are having trouble with early hunting.

Protip: you can right click and move the new weapon part into its need slot and every time you will need to reload once you equip it

Quick tip. The safe at the junkyard next to the crack a book is easily accessible. All you need to do is mine the destroyed stone underneath it. Way faster than pickaxeing the safe
But if you do that the loot never resets
@@stevenhansin5809 true. But I usually use this method on all safes that Ik I'm not gonna bother trying to reloot after the 30 days or so
You can jump higher than you think.
Around that dumpster you can find trash or pile of iron you can jump up from.
Your too early game to worry about safes, better left for above 50 scavenge and have quality joe level 2.
I agree. I build wood frames and arrows for lots of skill points early on. I don’t mess with safes until later on. Another easy way is upgrade an old house with wood all night :)
Those short broken off trees give you 12 wood with just a couple chops. I got over 1000 wood in a very short time.

Trick for crafting, player upgrade, and mod menu. Right joystick left or right moves page left or right.

Check under ALL the sinks and also in vehicles! Where I tend to find mine 👍
I've checked every sink and car I've found in every save. But in all of my restarts, I've only ever found 1 wrench.
Then today, on this new save, in a large house a little distance from the city found at 0, 0, I broke through the roof and found a wrench in the kitchen sink!
I bought one from the trader in my game, because on day 6 I still hadn't found one. Picked one up at the trader for 1100 but it was a blue one with max life left on it
Note: can scrap raw iron into iron , in your inventory, no need to put it in a forge
I thought that smelting raw iron gives more though

In a forge, it does(the returns are better), but before you get a forge, you can scrap raw iron to get that initial 100 iron to make an iron club. Pretty much a starting out 1st-2nd day thing, but still , iron clubs are alot better than wood clubs. With a forge you want to be looking for/ finding/building a spiked club. Hell with anything lesser :)

Gamepimps is probably going to put a new version for the high end newest consoles (gen 4-5?) first so it will be compatible with more recent PC versions (alpha19-20?). That could happen before the end of year(LOL) but probably next year. For older (gen 3-4) PS4/XboxS consoles running (the 16 version almost 17 as on console now)??? IDK, I don't think you will see anything for the next year, for those older consoles ,if ever.
After that ,they might "figure out" how to sell it as a sub service and make (19 version)work on older console platforms. Both PS and MS-X/box want to make money, so no telling how they drive those dudes at FunPimps/unix/pc game playing az-holes LOL , towards such backward, non-pc compatibility. But those two companies also like selling new higher performance/next gen consoles for newer games and new games for more profit rather than improved old games . 7DtD on console might get left behind. 40/60 IMO, we might see a "modern" 19 version on older consoles 2 years from now, or probably never. Call it an Xbox360 game , which it is. You're playing a dead game on an old system. So am I. LOL
In the early game if you get swarmed you can jump on to cars and your relatively safe from zombies. Dogs can get you and zombies can pile up and get you but it can save you if your in danger.
Those Safes on top of those bins you can actually dig the dirt around and under it. It will fall and turn into a backpack!

I can kill zombies just fine, but dogs, dogs have killed me so many times lol. They are sneaky too, so check this out, it was night bout 2am and nothing was happening so i thought il,e nip down and chop a tree, chop chop and then three dogs appear out of nowhere and boom, im,e dead.
You make this shit look so easy, hard as hell for me, someone who has never played this kind of game. I’m on day 8 and you have tons more than me lol. But I’m learning and figuring out more and more each time, there’s a serious learning curve with this type of game

Spartan im playing for the first time on my x box and your vids have helped me so much. I couldn't even get to day 3 without dieing and quitting. Now iv gotten to day 21 still learning. But how do you pull up the radial of different arrow types?
You have to hold the circle button on the ps4. I imagine you have to hold one of the buttons on Xbox. Then you will see all the different types you can use

Does the auger exist on console? I've found the schematic but at day 200+ with most areas looted, I'm beginning to doubt the developers actually put an auger in the game.
Yes it does, I usually just buy it from the trader. Try raising quality joe and scavenging

The biggest thing is that dogs seem to target me over anyone else, my friend and I were playing and dogs stopped hunting him to come after me when I tried to help

You can get mechanical parts by wrenching leather office chairs, grocery carts, file cabinets, and sometimes cars.

Yeah you just have to use a wrench on it. So I usually beat on it with a stone or pick axe then use the wrench at the end to pick it up

Do we need a workbench to craft weapons I have all the epices for hunting rifle and learned the schematic but I can't figure out how to put it together. And how do you move the map around like that ?
To move the map hold the A button and move the Left thumb stick.
To craft the guns press Y on one of the parts, like the barrel, you will get an option to Assemble. Press that and you can build the gun from there. You will need to have all of the pieces in your inventory. You can drop and drag each piece or just click the right thumb stick on them. You can also attach a flashlight to most guns.
Just need to know the schematic then click on assemble

Unfortunately there really isn’t any fix to that, I’ve heard it’s from corrupted save files

To anyone reading. If you’re a grinder this game isn’t worth it. It’s the very first version of the game and the company who ported this game to console did a horrible job. Before playing be ready for countless game crashes. Get ready to build a nice ass base and get stacked up on guns and loot just for the game to crash and bug out till where all your building pieces and crates disappear. Everything gone besides what’s on you and your mini bike. This game isn’t worth grinding. Wait till the new version comes out. That’s the very best advice for people thinking of playing this game. Something this guy doesn’t mention. Which is the most important tip.
That’s just for Xbox. Ps4 and five don’t have that bug fortunately.
3 worlds on Xbox, one at 83 days, one at 70 days, and one at 41 days. Countless worlds deleted in the past...only ever had 1 bad reset in playing the game over 4 years. Yes, it does happen, but I don't think making that the only talking point is a good thing for the community either.

I prefer the longer videos. I'm loving the content. I've been playing 7DTD on console since it released on console. GT: Ano1ntedOne if anyone wants to add and possibly play lol.
Someone had mentioned in the Q&A YAW. Check them out they are YouAlwaysWin on UA-cam. They do 7DTD seasons when content updates they've been making content since alpha 13 or at least that's when I came across them. I think you'd really enjoy their game play. They do the looting and killing. They aren't base builders at all lol. Horde nights in major POI's while looting. Entertaining stuff.
