I don't have trees overhanging my roof but I am concerned about all the shingle granules that run off the roof and down into my gutters. I would think the better choice would be either the 12" low profile Defender grate and catch basin with filter because of the shingle granules, rather than the down spout connector to buried pipe with adapter. I don't see how it would be possible to clean out a build up of shingle granules with the second option (down spout with clean out adapter). What are your thoughts?
This was a long video to only give 3 options that only work if you are able to bury a pipe under the drain spout. My drain spout is over concrete so none of these are helpful.

How come down spouts are in roof ridge valleys? Mine floods my flowerbeds.
