Easy way to do the challenge rift, hearing complaints.. TLDW: Hunt elites, take channeling pylon first and then dash down to conduit. Clear most of the 2nd map.
Thanks for this run man. I was hard stuck at 6+ min but got it on my first run after watching. I forgot you could port through the walls lol. Much appreciated!
Great tutorial! Diablo 3 relative newbie. I've only played a Demon Hunter once - before I even knew about challenge rifts. I'm having trouble adjusting to the Monk and finishing NA CR 397 in time. I've watched your video but I'm just not killing the elites fast enough. I don't know how best to use my weapons or defense. Questions: 1) In what order do you use your Fists of Thunder, Tempest Rush, and Cyclone Strike to kill an elite or a large group? How many times (or for how long) are you clicking each approximately? 2) When do you use Dashing Strike and how many times in a row before it has to recharge? 3) When/how/for what purpose do you use Serenity and Mantra of Retribution? Finally, 4) What are you using to kill besides FoT, TR, and CS? What other offensive weapons am I neglecting when I'm out of spirit? Many thanks! BG
Sorry for the late reply! Early morning here in Australia. Sorry I should have put the damage rotation in the video! So here it is anyway! 1. Fists of thunder 3 times on whatever you're trying to kill. So 3 clicks quickly, then you'll see that the mob will freeze, this is SUPER ESSENTIAL because it activates the 800% damage increase taken from Tempest rush from the legendary in the cube, you'll nearly always kill them in the first second of using TR. 2. Dashing strike is actually unlimited in charges as long as you have spirit. It costs 25 spirit to use with the set thats being used (raiments) so try not to over use dash, angle exactly where you'd like to go to save dashing into objects that you can't teleport through. Ideally after passing the first map, you'd want at least 1/5th of your spirit full to dash straight to the Channelling so that you can spam dash. A tip though is that your fists of thunder does allow you to teleport a shorter distance to a nearby mob. So try to weave that in also. 3. NEVER use Mantra, but try to always use serenity near an elite. Not for the damage reduction, but so that they don't stun you etc. 4. As previously mentioned, Fisting a mob 3x will proc the freeze effect which allows the 800% multiplier on TR and it's the only way in the build to do it as we don't have blind etc. Hope that helped!
@@aserzko3418 Thanks. That's really helpful. I tried your suggestions, and it gave me more questions (if you wouldn't mind): 1) Are you also using Cyclone Strike to pull groups together before the 3x Fist/TR? If so, how and in what situations do you use it? 2) After freezing a mob, do you just walk through them w/ TR? I've seen some people spinning around. 3) Finally, when you get the lightning from the pylon, which buttons are you using to activate it? Thanks again.
@ 1. yeah try to cyclone strike first, before Fists, but its not that essential if you don't have the spirit, the mobs should die to TR being released after a few stacks. Most of the progress is coming from killing the elites. 2. I tend to just spin around, just more likely that you will hit them rather than walking through, although if you freeze them they'll often die almost immediately. Try not to channel tempest rush for too long, 1-2 seconds is more than enough for the initial damage, if theyre still frozen the explosion from a couple stacks will be overkill. 3. Conduit pylon just auto hits anything that's close to it, so just carry on as per usual!
