Hi, very well explained. Loved the way you used the family tree to explain. Question: my uncle died recently , his only daughter (single and no kids) died few days later. Uncle’s wife already died many years back. Uncle’s parent also died many years back. He has No Will. Uncle has 4 other siblings. Uncle’s assets are all self made by him. How does the inheritance work here. Is it the following logic ….since uncle’s daughter outlived her father by a few days, she inherits the property from her father. But since she is also deceased , now it is a case of intestate female who has inherited from father, so based on Section 15(2)(a) the property goes back to her father’s heirs equally , which in this case are his 4 siblings . Did I get that correctly? Or is this situation treated as a intestate male (uncle) even though his daughter outlived him but died within a few days without claiming inheritance? In the case of intestate male approach it goes to class 2 , category 2 , which is again his 4 siblings no class 1 or class 2/category 1 alive). Also, what if her father had bought assets like land in his daughter’s name. Does the property in her name even though bought by her father follow section 15(1)? Also what happens to gold her father bought and gold she inherited from mother when mother died many years back?
