This song is standard Babymetal Mojo. The messaging is very positive. Basically it's "Your worst enemy is yourself, overcome yourself and you can accomplish anything, never give up, always move forward, if you get knocked down, get back up". This message is symbolized in the choreography throughout the song and at the ending, when it's revealed they had been fighting themselves. Me? I am a 58 year old classic rock guy. How I went from Led Zeppelin, Yes, Wishbone Ash, Foghat, Jethro Tull, etc.... to Babymetal is something I still have not figured out. Now I save up money and schedule my vacations to follow them on tour. It's nuts. What I do know is that Babymetal is all about fun, friendship, and unity. They remind me that joy exists, that hard work, dedication, and perseverance still pays off. That's a hell of a lot to say about 3 (now 2) young women from Japan.
Babymetal was an incredible discovery for me, I can't stop listening to them. I still don't understand why this mix is so addictive. You must react to Road of Resistance, Headbanger, Ijime, Dame, Zettai...... Hugs from Chile! 🇨🇱
Babymetal is catchy metal music and their discography is very diverse so you don't get bored easily. And the music isn't constantly heavy to tire you out.
Great reaction, and welcome back! As an almost 60 year old metal head, I can say that I have never would have believed that I would be so into this style of music...here I am four years after "finding" them and I cannot get enough! Looking forward to your guest video!
“It shouldn’t work, but it does” is a common reaction to Babymetal. Now that you've watched a couple of their music videos, you should really check out some of their live performances, because Babymetal shines brightest when performing in front of a live audience.
these cute little foxes have brought something of a revolution in metal... honestly the best thing in years... almost 10 years have passed and they still sound modern..the first time I watched this video I cried like a baby... .that chorus still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it... Su's voice is amazing in this song...and the choreography is beyond perfection
Welcome back to the Foxhole 🦊🤘 I remember your guest last time, it was music producer or something like that, right? Anyway it seems you uploaded this vid before and had some issues because of the copyright, I'll leave a recommendation down below for you and hopefully this will help with some of your issues: This list will help you to find some of their most favorite songs from 1st and 2nd album, if you look for 3rd album songs please refer to BMRR channel recommendation, sorry for no links but if you search for the titles it'll be easy to find: - Catch Me If You Can, live at Budokan 2014 (you got a safe to react version with subtitles at GuilhermeCait channel) - Akatsuki, live at Budokan 2014, this is a SuMetal solo, "BabyMetal Fans Ecuador" and *アカツキBabymetal* got the Black Night version (the safest one); and "アカツキBabymetal" channel got the Red Night (this one is heavily blocked, both are pretty much the same, only thing is different shots and SuMetal different outfit, not worth the risk so go for the Black Night and watch the Red Night on your own). - Megitsune, official MV is my first recommendation because of the Japanese elements and to avoid spoilers during live intro, but if you want live version check it out Budokan 2014, "Kawaii Metal" got a safe version; and Red Fox Festival 2017 (my favorite version), BMRR (Babymetal Reactor Resource) got this version under the title "Me - Git - Sune All Female Audience 2017". - Karate, again official MV is beautiful and you'll get more meaning, but I highly recommend you live at Download Festival 2016, "kitsune6001" got a nice version with a short interview. - Road Of Resistance, live in Japan 2015 official live MV is blocked so take care, alternatively BMRR got some others awesome and unique versions, just watch version before 2017 when YuiMetal is still on the group and leave the rest for later reactions. - Rondo Of Nightmare with Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro, live at Budokan 2014, "Kawaii Metal" got this (length is 7:03). - Headbanger!! live at Legend 1997 in 2013, "Gans Tomas channel" or "abr metal" got this under "Head Bangya" or "HedoBangya" title. - Akatsuki Unfinished Version, SuMetal solo again but with only a piano behind special performance at Legend 1997, there's a "widescreen" version safe to react at "Kitsune Sama" , careful with other versions around coz is heavily blocked. - Babymetal Death, live at Legend 1997, GuilhermeCait channel got this safe to react, read the description for translated intro. - YAVA! with Kami Band intro live at Big Fox Festival 2017, again BMRR got this. - GJ! live at Tokyo Dome or Wembley Arena 2016, is a Black Babymetal song with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal, BMRR got this. Recommendations like "BxMxC, PA PA YA!, Shanti Shanti Shanti, Kagerou, Distortion" those are from 3rd album without YuiMetal and the girls already grown up. There's also an special set called "Trilogy Of Lights" with songs in order: "Starlight, Shine and Arkadia", you won't get the meaning of this complete set going randomly so leave this for the moment. And remember some of these you can find at Babymetal Reactor Resource channel (BMRR), watch "Future Plans" short vid and follow instructions to get those watermarked logo clips of their best live performance, put the logo for us while you watch the one without logo (read the description on the vid to get those clean version), if you don't pause a lot this won't be so much issue when editing. Please, don't pay attention to suggestions over live compilations (like KuroKitsuneSama) and fancam, this isn't the best way to experience BM songs for the first time, there are very few exceptions you can go for this because won't affect your visual experience so much. Also don't go for Glastonbury performance, bad sound and poor crowd. If you want more info about them you should watch "A BabyMetal Guide" by CrypticMisery channel, but first i highly recommend to watch Babymetal Death and BxMxC to avoid some spoilers, maybe Rondo Of Nightmare too. Feel free to ask me anything you need and I'll do my best to help you out. See you next time 🦊🤘
Yay! Great reaction. This is one of my favorite songs. It talks about overcoming your own inner demons or obstacles that can knock you down, but you get back up more powerful than before. The live version of this song is also phenomenal when Su-metal hits those highs. It's just awesome to experience it live and I get the goosebumps every time. Now you understand why fans like watching reactions to Babymetal, the same reason why you want to share it with a guest. It's an affirmation that we hadn't gone nuts, and that this IS groundbreaking music making and we are fortunate to be part of its history as the One. The next song I'd suggest maybe is Megitsune, Headbangerrr!, Catch Me If You Can, Rondo of Nightmare (these latter two are more on the heavier side). And finally, Road of Resistance LIve in Japan - it will blow your mind, really. You should have your producer friend along for that ride. Then move on to their second studio album, and by then, the rest will be history! You''ll love them as much as the Fans. And that's only Babymetal. Then you can delve into their origins and that opens up a whole new world of discovery about Babymetal's humble beginnings as an experimental subgroup of the jpop idol group Sakura Gakuin. You've begun your journey, and I for one am happy to walk it with you. Note: In terms of avoiding copyright strikes, there is the Babymetal Reactor's channel that has many videos that already have the logo on the video. There are other fans who can explain it to you a whole lot better than I can. Yes, Amuse Inc is really strict about the copyright, but you can get through it. Please don't let it discourage you from your continued Babymetal discovery. When something touches the depths of your heart and soul, it is definitely worth pursuing. Well done!
Nice reaction brother . Personally I think, because its three young ladies, theres not that expectation of aggressive vocals like in more traditional genres...So it opens up more of the experience , and makes me think Holy cow.... they actually metal af 🤘🦊🤘
Babymetal brings smile , joy , tears ... happiness ! I love watch babymetal reactions cos it brings me back to mine . Their song "AMORE" blowed my mind !!
Great reaction. Why does it all work and blend together so well? Only the Fox God Knows ... it may be impossible (or very difficult) to analyse and explain so as Su-metal once said "Don't think. Feel." 'Karate' was the lead single for their second album. It is about fighting adversity, when life knocks you down and everything seems too hard so you're hurt and crying, its about standing up and fighting on, helping each other through the hard times. They used karate to illustrate this as it is a Japanese martial art and reflects their culture - it also has no backward moves. In the video the figures in white were the girls all along and they were conjuring up their own inner demons to fight against. They beat the first, the second knocked them down but they got up to eventually defeat themselves (did you notice the reflections of each of the girls in their own eyes when the masks shattered and it was revealed as them? Not many people spot that). They did watch a lot of martial arts movies to get ideas for the choreo as they wanted it to look as authentic as possible. Moa catching the fly was a nod to Mr Miyagi in The Karate Kid. Mr Miyagi may have used chop sticks (and it may have taken him two or three films before he caught one), Moa caught her fly with her eyes closed - first time. This song and video won 2 awards. "Best Metal Video in MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2016" and "Best Metal Song in 6th Annual Loudwire Music Awards".
babymetal are embarking on a u.s. tour this month. if you haven't got tickets yet don't wait. i'm seeing the last show of the tour in los angeles. the first night is sold out and the second is close. so if they're coming to your area don't hesitate. i've only known about the a few months but i'm totally addicted. i needed something to dust off the cobwebs of my classic rock brain, and i found it in babymetal. at 62 i may be one of the older people at the show in october but i don't care! i need to see them live, plain and simple.
"Road of Resistance" live at Saitama Super Arena in Japan! Amigo... The place is incredible and the theme is an anthem!!! Greetings from Argentina, in the ass of the world!
You MUST see and react to them performing LIVE. Preferably complete songs and not compilations. Favorites include Headbanger, Death 1997 Legend Japan (celebrating Su's birth year of 1997 and her becoming Goddess of Metal), and Doki Doki Morning both original (their first) and later live such as at Budokan in Japan. Their audience interaction and participation is amazing. My fave is Road of Resistance Live 1997 Japan.
Man you don't need musician! They yesterday released a collab version of their song Monochrome piano version on The first take channel. Suzuka (atm 25yo) is shining like the brightest star there! She matured in the best way possible as a vocalist!
great reaction! yeah, the fun thing about babymetal is that you never know what to expect with them. they experiement with the genre in a lot of different ways, so each song is it's own unique experience. they're a breath of fresh air & they've only gotten better with time. lots of people say the idea of blending j-pop & metal was a crazy idea that in theory never should have worked, but to me it makes perfect sense. sweet & spicy food shouldn't work either, but lots of people really love it. sometimes a good contrast can work wonders. especially for a genre that had been starting to grow a little stale by the time BABYMETAL arrived on the scene. but i digress lol. soooo yeah, i hope you continue to dive into them & enjoy the experience. ^^
Nice reaction. Babymetal knows how folks feel about their kawaii voices. And they know how to use that to its best effect. Like the start of this song. Yui and Moa doing karate Ki shouts. Very kawaii. But then Su starts to sing and the whole song changes. Her entrance gives me chills here. She can even do that when they're live in concert. One of the amazing things about Babymetal is how they sound better live than they do on the albums. Babymetal magic that's what it is. These girls are the Kawaii angels of metal. And they have magical powers. The power to blend Kawaii JPOP and metal. To mix multiple genres of music with multiple vocal styles all while dancing. Sometimes to the irresistible dance. (Don't worry you'll get to that song.) Oh! Majinai an amazing song and one of Su's favorites from their 3rd album. Babymetals greatest magic is just what folks have told you. It brings the POP folks to metal and the Metalheads to POP. And now everyone starts to realize that all music has something to offer to everyone. It's as Su says All Things Are Possible Through Babymetal. Lead on Queen Su and Super Shin Moa Chan. Lead On.
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
Great reaction, thanks! You are right. BABYMETAL's biggest achievement was to combine metal with j-pop and kawaii (cute) culture elements... and not only try but actually succeed. Su-metal's clean vocals are one of my favorite things in the world and I consider myself an addict to her voice. Enough said ;) Until next time!
This diamond should be in your collection. I would like to share with you my discovery. The voice of amazing beauty, power and depth, crystal clear, I heard from a beautiful girl and was fascinated by her. Her story moved me even more. At the age of 3, this little girl was found at a bus stop with a broken collarbone and other psychological and physical injuries. The child ended up in an orphanage, where her future foster mother worked as a masseuse. The story itself is a ready-made plot for an Oscar-nominated film. This girl is now 19 years old. She has about 70 victories in various vocal competitions. If you understand what it is to sing with soul, then this is about her. Diana also has a huge army of fans, and reactions are gaining tens and hundreds of thousands of views. The total number of reactions on UA-cam to Diana is about 13 thousand.

Can’t Help Falling in Love (Elvis Presley / DARK VERSION cover)
Your face in the thumbnail looks like my youngest nephews face when he is goofying around and my sister sends me the photo. Made me laugh. Good to see you back to the cutest/badass group in existence. To me, BABYMETAL is one of the very rare talents that every single songs is good. Some are better than others of course but ever single song is enjoyable. To me that is very rare. 🤘🦊🤘
Wasn't a huge metal fan, didn't like pop and I really disliked choreographed dancing. One day I randomly searched for "crazy japanese metal" here on UA-cam. Can't remember what the algorithm suggested first but I'll never forget the second video 😄 I watched Gimme Chocolate...and my brain melted. Babymetal on stage is easily the most exciting thing I have seen in many, many years. Welcome to the foxhole...
2 must songs you have to react; Rondo of Nightmare Live @ Budokan and Road of Resistance live in Japan. One test the skills of the band and lead singer's vocal range and the latter showcase their showmanship. You'll sure to jump into the fox hole!!
You have to watch with your guest Babymetal "Road of Resistance" official live in Japan, if your mind is blown already, it'll explode after this experience ;)
Nice Reaction! Karate is all about fighting against foes both inside and outside you and the power of friendship to bring you through troubles. It's a great example of how BM can emotionally modulate a performance. They start out heavy and by the end it's more intimate and quiet drawing you in before slamming back into some metal riffs, soaring Su singing and a final quiet conclusion. It's an anthem that makes a lot of people cry. The payoff at the end is that the white figures are the girls themselves and you can even see a reflection of each girl in the eyes of the white figures when their masks are shattered. Next I recommend you watch "Road of Resistance Live in Japan". Get ready to be emotionally drained.
Karate (Babymetal song) "Karate" is a song by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal from their second studio album, Metal Resistance. "Karate" •Single by: Babymetal. •Album: Metal Resistance. •Language: Japanese. •Released: February 26, 2016. •Genre: J-pop, nu metal, metalcore. •Length: 4:23. •Label:RAL, Sony Music. •Songwriter: Yuyoyuppe. •Producer: Kobametal. •Yuyoyuppe: (arrangement) Babymetal singles chronology:- •"Gimme Chocolate!!" (2015). •"Karate"(2016). •"Distortion" (2018). Background and release:- According to Suzuka Nakamoto, "Karate" is reminiscent of the song "Megitsune", which "is popular among international fans. [The song] has not only Babymetal vibes, but also has Japanese elements. Its lyrics portray a strong will to go on, no matter what happens in your life." The song is a nu metal song that contains elements of metalcore. Composed by Yuyoyuppe and arranged under the name Yuppemetal, "Karate" also features djent-like riffs, and a J-pop melody. Loudwire's Graham Hartmann described the song as "incredibly charming. Instrumentally, it’s also heavy as hell. The song’s main riff is way low on the sonic spectrum, chugging away in a no-nonsense djent fashion." Kikuchi explained that the lyrics are about never giving up and always moving forward, no matter what difficulties need to be endured. Furthermore, Yui Mizuno described how the dance moves were made to help express the message of the song, as most of the lyrics were in Japanese. Reception:- "Karate" received generally positive reviews from music critics. Lars Gotrich of NPR Music described the song as "catchy and grandiose" praising Nakamoto's vocal performance, comparing her to Evanescence lead vocalist Amy Lee. Jon Hadusek from Consequence of Sound called the song, as well as "From Dusk Till Dawn" essential tracks from the album. While reviewing Metal Resistance, Jordan Bassett of NME praised the song, describing it as "fast and furious until jangling, arpeggiated guitar alters the rhythm." Hartmann praised the song's chorus, calling it "one of the catchiest pieces [Babymetal] has crafted to date." "Karate" peaked at number two on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart on the issue dated March 19, 2016, spending fourteen weeks on the chart. The song debuted at number 24 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, for the week of March 12, 2016. After the release of the band's second album Metal Resistance, in the week of May 7, 2016, the song peaked at number 17, spending a total of twelve weeks on the chart. Live performances:- "Karate" premiered at Yokohama Arena on December 12, 2015, during the final dates of the Babymetal World Tour 2015, and was added to the setlist of the Babymetal World Tour 2016, performed on the first tour date at Wembley Arena. The song had its first televised performance at TV Asahi's Music Station on April 22, 2016. The song's choreography contained interpolations of karate moves, as shown in the music video. BABYMETAL WIN FIVE HONORS IN THE 6TH ANNUAL LOUDWIRE MUSIC AWARDS:- Japanese pop-metal sensation Babymetal are one of the 6th Annual Loudwire Music Awards’ biggest winners, as their fans voted them to victory in five separate categories. The teen trio and their phenomenal backing musicians have rocketed to the top of the metal world, and in many ways, the worlMd of music. Babymetal’s rabid fanbase filled the Tokyo Dome two nights in a row, so it’s no surprise the band won the Most Devoted Fans award for the second year in a row, this time edging out fellow Japanese act X Japan. Babymetal’s Metal Resistance album proved the group wouldn’t go out as a one hit wonder. It kicks in hard with “Road of Resistance” and keeps moving with anthemic cuts that are criminally catchy. Metal Resistance won Best Metal Album in our latest awards, while “Karate” took home the trophy for Best Metal Song. 2016 was Babymetal’s year for touring, playing Wembley early in the year, appearing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, taking over North America, playing the Tokyo Dome and finally supporting Red Hot Chili Peppers in the UK. For Babymetal’s accomplishments, they’ve been voted Best Live Act. Finally, frontwoman Su-metal claimed victory in our Rock Goddess of the Year category, beating out beloved singers like Amy Lee and Cristina Scabbia. Karate Romaji Lyrics - Seiya sessesse seiya. Good Reaction! When BABYMETAL first appeared 10 years ago, it was said that many units would follow suit, but that was not the case. It seems that it was not so easy to make metal music not just an accompaniment to songs, but to make the various elements of metal music POP in a structured way.
Babymetal is the first to do this new genre, it's literally in their name, Babymetal was meant to mean: new born genre. And they make it work through talent and hard work in all aspects, that's why they are popular.
Live is always better than the music videos, but I do enjoy them simply because there's so much more that can be explained in the m/v than live on stage. I particularly like how they "power up" after they get knocked down and they the reveal at the end, when you discover they were actually fighting themselves. If you have time you may want to check out a live version of this song (even if you don't react) I think one of the their recommended versions is either sonisphere or download shows.
I love your reactions. They are authentic and made with the heart. I'm very happy when I watch. It's so much fun to share the experience of listening to Babymetal. Congratulations! And long live Babymetal!
Good reaction. You really should check out their live performance. I recommend "Road of Resistance" (live in japan). Dragonforce's guitarists co wroted the song.
Hi loving the reactions. If you do wanna see the contrast might a suggest a double reaction of Akatsuki (unfinished version) and Akatsuki (black night budokan). It's a Su solo song and in the first it's just raw, her and a piano and in the second it's full band. Doing those back to back really let's you focus on her voice and how one song can change dramatically by just adding metal instrumentation.
Nice words you said about Babymetal and their unique genre of Metal - Kawaii Metal/ Cute Metal. My first Metal gig was Sabbath in 1976 and my last was Babymetal in 2020 and they are the most entertaining Metal performers I've seen since seeing Slipknot 2 decades ago. Japan is producing the best Rock and Metal in the world - try Band-Maid for the best Rock on the planet or Nemophila or Lovebites for more Metal. All those bands I;ve mentioned are best seen live, although the MV's are nearly always excellent - oh, and they're all-female musicians of a very high standard too..
Amazing reaction my friend!!....In 2017, the music world was shocked by the bursting onto the scene of a 22-year-old singer named Dimash Kudaibergen, who performed on the famous Chinese competition show for professional singers called “The Singer”... It was just It was necessary for this young man to make his first appearance, making a cover of one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse", to be considered from that moment on as the best singer in the entire planet....No one in the musical field had ever seen a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges above 7 octaves and several semitones, that is, all 88 keys of a digital piano, which reaches a little more than 7 octaves and as if that weren't enough, sing the more than 12 languages...Since then all kinds of experts (Vocal coach, analysts, singing teachers, youtubers, reactors, etc.) have dedicated themselves to reviewing their presentations to try to understand how someone can sing this way...The incredible thing is that that presentation in China was in 2017 and 5 years have passed since then, but what Dimash has done in these 5 years is to further improve his wide vocal range, which is currently practically above of the 8 octaves... The Covid pandemic stopped his concerts worldwide, all with tickets sold in just seconds, via the internet, but at the same time it ended up catapulting him to the top of popularity worldwide...Anyway, since I think you are one of those reactors who have not yet met this impressive singer, here is the link of that presentation in China in 2017, with the song S.O.S. and I would like you to mention my name as the person who recommended him to you...You have to be prepared because you ar going to receive an avalanche of views, comments and new subscribers....I leave you one more recent video than the others, so it does not have the same number of views as the previous ones, which have millions of views, but it is a more complete video, with an intro, subtitles in several languages and with the improved quality of audio and sound....ua-cam.com/video/bDX3FhmyNac/v-deo.html
Good reaction. If you have time, I recommend listening to BABYMETAL-KARATE (live UK Download 2016) as well. You can experience BABYMETAL performing at their best in the pouring rain.
Many people have tried to dissect, analyze, and "figure out" Babymetal music. As Su herself once said, "Don't think, FEEL". That sums up Babymetal for me anyhow. I just enjoy it for what it is and don't try to explain it. :)
Thanks for the reaction. Welcome to the fox Hole. Can't help you with splitting the 2 sounds, but can say to try akatsuki. Original akatsuki is with the metal. Unfinished version with piano, so may give you the idea you are looking for
Nice video! Babymetal's studio recordings are great, but their live stuff is on another level! I recomend that you only react to their live stuff from now on. Welcome to the fox hole!
There are a couple of audio clips floating around that separate the vocals from the instruments but you haven't heard those songs yet. As far as I know, there are none that dov that with Karate or Gimme Choco.
I think it's fair to say that they have been one of the most if not the most influential band in two genres of music that are polar opposites of each other for more than a decade. What makes it even more remarkable is that they're still only their early 20's . If you follow their social media you'll hear snippets of new music they've been teasing,so we have that to look forward to. BTW the best way to experience this band is through live performances where you can see how they interact with the audience, you'll never see anyone who are more effective at crowd control than Su-metal, Moa-metal and Yui-metal. The best place to start is with their iconic appearance at Sonisphere Festival 2014 where they made their greatest breakthrough with metal fans, also the Budokan shows, the Fox Festival shows and the Legend of 1997 concert are some of the best examples of that. Don't be confused by the 1997 date lol,it was the year Su was born and the concert was her birthday celebration . Kitsune Up!🦊🤘 can
Been a metal fan all my life ever since Black Sabbath. I’ve lost interest in metal over the years. BABYMETAL has brought me back. My daughters won’t listen to metal. But they love Babymetal. I think they brought pop and metal together and introduced. A new Fanbase to both.
The idea of poprock or pop-metal is actually already there before Babymetal, but what makes them stand out is how obvious the contrast there is(they don't tune down the 'heavyness' and the 'poppyness') and the authentic sound they producd, nobody with sane mind would think it would match but they are killing it. 😂😅
Like many other said, you need to see their live performance, there's nothing like their live show experience. For this song their Live in Download Festival 2016 was great, and emotional under the rain, you should watch it in your own time even if you don't do reaction
Lots of female metal bands try to emulate male metal bands. BabyMetal basically said, "No, we are doing metal our way. We are teenage Japanese schoolgirls, and we will have dancing, pig tails, cute dresses and clean vocals. While we tear your face off in the cutest way possible." I thought I hated dancing but then I figured out I just hated dancing to shitty music.
Great reaction sir. There will be some great information coming your way (trust me -soon) from people who have been fans for years that will fill you in. I just will tell you that these young ladies and their world class backing band The Kami Band are respected by and have either performed or collaborated with the likes of Metallica, Slipknot, Judas Priest, Rob Zombie, Gun and Roses, Korn, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and many others. They are legitimate. React to them LIVE instead of MV’s when possible as this is where they shine. They have over 50 LIVE song/performances and EVERY one is different. They are fearless exploring other music genres and NAILING them I suggest for your next reaction either Road of Resistance Live in Japan or Headbanger LIVE or Megitsune LIVE These are a good start. You have just reacted to the Karate MV but sometime I hope that you get the chance to react to BabyMetal perfuming Karate LIVE at the 2016 Download Festival in the UK where 60,000+ British metal heads sing along with the girls. Good luck and welcome. One more thing…. avoid performances from Glastonbury as the BBC ruined the sound production.
Yup. I had the same reaction when i 1st listened to Karate and that opening riff came in. It was like, holy crap I need to crank it up. Haha And for me, i like metal instrumentation but don't like the guttural singing so Babymetal was a huge beautiful discovery for me. In love for life, no cap. :)
For the vocal part stripped from the metal part, there's this one song SU-METAL performed on her 16th birthday. Akatsuki - the Unfinished version. ua-cam.com/video/qhFLOy19mxA/v-deo.html The vocal ability of Nakamoto Suzuka can be heard clearly in this Live performance, even at this young age. The producer of BABYMETAL, Key Kobayshi (Koba) choose SU-METAL for her outstanding voice and strong stage presence to be the lead vocalist in BABYMETAL 🦊🤘
The glue that holds the various genres together is the uniquely Japanese concept of "KAWAII". MOA-METAL has stated in a Japanese TV program, "I think KAWAII is justice. In 2014, BABYMETAL toured Europe, performing miracles at the first metal festival they attended on their UK tour!BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL ) On the theme of bullying. "Let's all stop bullying!". It was a very touching stage... look forward to SEE YOU :3 The link is in the reply field
Heya Old Guy. I didn't read the other comments as its almost 4am right now and I need to get some sleep. But you were looking for a separation of Babymetal and the instrumentals. I don't know if anybody has THAT, but there IS a pretty close something you can do. Look for Su's In Ear Monitor files. Most of the instruments are toned down quite a bit and you'll mostly just hear Su's voice, along with some counts to help her keep timing. But its pretty close to what you're looking for. As for the instrumentals without the voice, do a reaction to Rondo of Nightmare with Mischief of gods intro. That will give you a nice little instrumental. You can also check out their band here ua-cam.com/video/PMJ2RkYkhAA/v-deo.html . That is them doing a live set. Hope that helps you a bit.
You need to check out a band from Japan called Hanabie (ha-na-be-eh). They are somewhat similar to BABYMETAL's sound. Maybe a little heavier and yet not. You'll see. 😉 Also, BAND-MAID is a must. New single/video out called 'Unleashed!!!!!'
🤗🤘
Babymetal was an incredible discovery for me, I can't stop listening to them. I still don't understand why this mix is so addictive. You must react to Road of Resistance, Headbanger, Ijime, Dame, Zettai...... Hugs from Chile! 🇨🇱
terrible weno BABYMETAL
Su's voice is amazing in this song...and the choreography is beyond perfection
excellent content Old Guy, if you let BABYMETAL into your heart, they will heal thy soul.
Welcome back to the Foxhole 🦊🤘
I remember your guest last time, it was music producer or something like that, right?
Anyway it seems you uploaded this vid before and had some issues because of the copyright, I'll leave a recommendation down below for you and hopefully this will help with some of your issues:
This list will help you to find some of their most favorite songs from 1st and 2nd album, if you look for 3rd album songs please refer to BMRR channel recommendation, sorry for no links but if you search for the titles it'll be easy to find:
- Catch Me If You Can, live at Budokan 2014 (you got a safe to react version with subtitles at GuilhermeCait channel)
- Akatsuki, live at Budokan 2014, this is a SuMetal solo, "BabyMetal Fans Ecuador" and *アカツキBabymetal* got the Black Night version (the safest one); and "アカツキBabymetal" channel got the Red Night (this one is heavily blocked, both are pretty much the same, only thing is different shots and SuMetal different outfit, not worth the risk so go for the Black Night and watch the Red Night on your own).
Agreed mate, they are metal af :)
Feel."
'Karate' was the lead single for their second album.
Definitely need to watch the live performances. They're just as amazing live. The crowds are INSANE!
"Road of Resistance" live at Saitama Super Arena in Japan! Amigo... The place is incredible and the theme is an anthem!!!
Greetings from Argentina, in the ass of the world!
BABYMETALという言葉は私にとって幸せと同義です🤘🦊
You MUST see and react to them performing LIVE. Preferably complete songs and not compilations. Favorites include Headbanger, Death 1997 Legend Japan (celebrating Su's birth year of 1997 and her becoming Goddess of Metal), and Doki Doki Morning both original (their first) and later live such as at Budokan in Japan. Their audience interaction and participation is amazing. My fave is Road of Resistance Live 1997 Japan.
5:40 Babymetal is mindblowing, but in such a positive way: it will blow your mind open to be more open minded. 🙂
Man you don't need musician! They yesterday released a collab version of their song Monochrome piano version on The first take channel. Suzuka (atm 25yo) is shining like the brightest star there! She matured in the best way possible as a vocalist!
I actually mostly hear Rap and Jazz music but am a total Babymetal Fan since I heard some songs from them
The production level with babymetal is soo extremely high. This video is just perfection and a "How it's done 101".
I never get tired of this song... Everytime I get goosebumps during the interlude in the middle. What a powerful song!
great reaction! yeah, the fun thing about babymetal is that you never know what to expect with them. they experiement with the genre in a lot of different ways, so each song is it's own unique experience. they're a breath of fresh air & they've only gotten better with time.
lots of people say the idea of blending j-pop & metal was a crazy idea that in theory never should have worked, but to me it makes perfect sense. sweet & spicy food shouldn't work either, but lots of people really love it. sometimes a good contrast can work wonders. especially for a genre that had been starting to grow a little stale by the time BABYMETAL arrived on the scene.
but i digress lol. soooo yeah, i hope you continue to dive into them & enjoy the experience.
Lead On.
And also brought many western people to Japanese music in general.
(Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
The Kari Band jazz fusion music is fantastic. Would be cool if they did one of those songs as an intro for a Babymetal song.
@@stevechevy3382 Yeah! That's good idea.
I love this so much
Great reaction, thanks!
You are right. BABYMETAL's biggest achievement was to combine metal with j-pop and kawaii (cute) culture elements... and not only try but actually succeed.
Su-metal's clean vocals are one of my favorite things in the world and I consider myself an addict to her voice. Enough said ;)
Until next time!

@TaLaAnt 👎
Either you are visiting the wrong page or you are mentally ill. Please don't comment as it makes me sick.😨
I would also separate or put their singing, metal music, and choreography together to enjoy a different feeling. Very weird but great feeling. 😊♥️🦊
Oddly enough, I didn't like pop idol songs or heavy metal until I heard BABYMETAL, but now I like both metal and idol songs.
Can't remember what the algorithm suggested first but I'll never forget the second video 😄
I watched Gimme Chocolate...and my brain melted.
Babymetal on stage is easily the most exciting thing I have seen in many, many years.
Welcome to the foxhole...
Totally awesome comment!
@@oldguyreactions Thanks. Can't wait for your next Babymetal reaction. Greetings from Germany
Karate (Babymetal song)
"Karate" is a song by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal from their second studio album, Metal Resistance.
"Karate"
•Single by: Babymetal.
•Album: Metal Resistance.
•Language: Japanese.
•Released: February 26, 2016.
•Genre: J-pop, nu metal, metalcore.
•Length: 4:23.
•Label:RAL, Sony Music.
•Songwriter: Yuyoyuppe.
•Producer: Kobametal.
•Yuyoyuppe: (arrangement)
Babymetal singles chronology:-
•"Gimme Chocolate!!" (2015).
•"Karate"(2016).
•"Distortion" (2018).
Background and release:-
According to Suzuka Nakamoto, "Karate" is reminiscent of the song "Megitsune", which "is popular among international fans. The song’s main riff is way low on the sonic spectrum, chugging away in a no-nonsense djent fashion."
Kikuchi explained that the lyrics are about never giving up and always moving forward, no matter what difficulties need to be endured. Furthermore, Yui Mizuno described how the dance moves were made to help express the message of the song, as most of the lyrics were in Japanese.
Reception:-
"Karate" received generally positive reviews from music critics. While reviewing Metal Resistance, Jordan Bassett of NME praised the song, describing it as "fast and furious until jangling, arpeggiated guitar alters the rhythm." Hartmann praised the song's chorus, calling it "one of the catchiest pieces [Babymetal] has crafted to date."
"Karate" peaked at number two on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart on the issue dated March 19, 2016, spending fourteen weeks on the chart. The song debuted at number 24 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, for the week of March 12, 2016. After the release of the band's second album Metal Resistance, in the week of May 7, 2016, the song peaked at number 17, spending a total of twelve weeks on the chart.
Live performances:-
"Karate" premiered at Yokohama Arena on December 12, 2015, during the final dates of the Babymetal World Tour 2015, and was added to the setlist of the Babymetal World Tour 2016, performed on the first tour date at Wembley Arena. The song had its first televised performance at TV Asahi's Music Station on April 22, 2016. The song's choreography contained interpolations of karate moves, as shown in the music video.
BABYMETAL WIN FIVE HONORS IN THE 6TH ANNUAL LOUDWIRE MUSIC AWARDS:-
Japanese pop-metal sensation Babymetal are one of the 6th Annual Loudwire Music Awards’ biggest winners, as their fans voted them to victory in five separate categories.

Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult.
i found about baby metal WWE PPV event it was their song for NXT take over event if I recall correctly.
Rondo of Nightmare (with the kami band intro) and Road of Resistance
Corey Taylor of Slipknot is a Babymetal fan. They are one of the cameos in his music video CMFT.
I'm 53 old metal head. I LOVE Babymetal and Rammstein!
My favorite Babymetal is...Akatsuki...check it out.
As others said watch this live Download 2016 in UK can see you becoming a big fan by your reaction . 😁🤘🦊🤘
Good reactions man. Try Headbanger, Road of resistance, Ijime dame zettai, Shine, The one, Kagerou....
Welcome aboard!
believe me when i say you have not yet begun to learn what babymetal are capable of lol. enjoy the journey.
Babymetal YAVA. Song and performance is amazing
Speaking of Slipknot, Babymetal is one of the groups in the "CMFT Must Be Stopped" video.
Try "No rain, no rainbow - Baptism XX" ;)
Thanks for the reaction. Welcome to the fox Hole. Can't help you with splitting the 2 sounds, but can say to try akatsuki. Original akatsuki is with the metal. Unfinished version with piano, so may give you the idea you are looking for
Nice video! Babymetal's studio recordings are great, but their live stuff is on another level! I recomend that you only react to their live stuff from now on. Welcome to the fox hole!
You are so fuc*ing right about showing other people BABYMETAL!!!
Nice one.
Now watch the live version from 2016 Download festival in England. All the same dance moves while singing live, in the rain.
Babymetal-karate (live uk download 2016) ua-cam.com/video/qXF94RGYEmw/v-deo.html
Man, welcome! You will never disappointed by Babymetal! Never! That's unbelievable, but true. You will see...
Oh boy, this is going to be fun. Karate is one of my most favorites of Babymetal.
I love BABYMETAL since they started and saw them live
Smart man. Baby metal always get you the most views
🍅💀🍅
🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
It is amazing !! !!
Love you reaction sir. I need more you react babymetal . btw, I subscribe you now
There are a couple of audio clips floating around that separate the vocals from the instruments but you haven't heard those songs yet. As far as I know, there are none that dov that with Karate or Gimme Choco.
babymetal 🤘🤘🤘🤘🦊🦊🦊🦊 HEADBANGER LIVE LEGEND 1997
and you haven’t heard or seen their really cool performances yet
BABYMETAL is like being hit with a "barbed wire" baseball bat to the head & still ask for MORE!!!
Sorry about the copyright blocks. Just wanted to highlight Jake Muller’s comment and suggestions for getting their videos posted. Please read.
You should see live version
more babymetal reactions please
Try Akatsuki and then Akatsuki unfinished, back to back and it should give you what you are looking for. Oldguymetal
😁🤘🦊
U got to do road to resistance
why are you alone this time?
doesn't anyone else want to react to babymetal? 😉
p.s.
I look forward to seeing your next reactions to this amazing group
You still haven't actually seen them live. Do yourself a favor and watch Headbanger live next.
Told you.
if you put a watermark over the video usually it can go up right away
Great reaction sir.
There will be some great information coming your way (trust me -soon) from people who have been fans for years that will fill you in.
I just will tell you that these young ladies and their world class backing band The Kami Band are respected by and have either performed or collaborated with the likes of Metallica, Slipknot, Judas Priest, Rob Zombie, Gun and Roses, Korn, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and many others. They are legitimate. React to them LIVE instead of MV’s when possible as this is where they shine. They have over 50 LIVE song/performances and EVERY one is different. They are fearless exploring other music genres and NAILING them
I suggest for your next reaction either
Road of Resistance Live in Japan or
Headbanger LIVE
or Megitsune LIVE
These are a good start.
🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻
😁😁😁🤘🤘🤘
Please, make a reaction to the songs of the Diana Ankudinova.
🤘🦊🤘
Yup. I had the same reaction when i 1st listened to Karate and that opening riff came in. It was like, holy crap I need to crank it up. Haha
And for me, i like metal instrumentation but don't like the guttural singing so Babymetal was a huge beautiful discovery for me. In love for life, no cap. :)
For the vocal part stripped from the metal part, there's this one song SU-METAL performed on her 16th birthday.
Akatsuki - the Unfinished version.

The vocal ability of Nakamoto Suzuka can be heard clearly in this Live performance, even at this young age.
The producer of BABYMETAL, Key Kobayshi (Koba) choose SU-METAL for her outstanding voice and strong stage presence to be the lead vocalist in BABYMETAL 🦊🤘
And here's the Powerful Metal version of Akatsuki, performed at Budokan !!🤘🦊🤘

The glue that holds the various genres together is the uniquely Japanese concept of "KAWAII". MOA-METAL has stated in a Japanese TV program, "I think KAWAII is justice. In 2014, BABYMETAL toured Europe, performing miracles at the first metal festival they attended on their UK tour!BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL ) On the theme of bullying. "Let's all stop bullying!". It was a very touching stage... look forward to SEE YOU :3

You should react to the live version of the songs, they are so much better. Probably less chance of youtube taking it down too ;).
React Lana del Rey west coast
You need to check out a band from Japan called Hanabie (ha-na-be-eh). They are somewhat similar to BABYMETAL's sound. Maybe a little heavier and yet not. You'll see. 😉
Also, BAND-MAID is a must. New single/video out called 'Unleashed!!!!!'
You're having trouble categorizing to previous genres. A 14 year old Japanese fan just loves them for what they are. Image, visuals, adrenaline.
can you react to "Hanabie - we love sweets" ?
