I was a doctor in Cuba, and defected on my first mission to Venezuela. I was receiving the equivalent of $50 dollars a month as a doctor. After I defected, the Cuban government didn’t allow me to visit Cuba for 8 years. My mom was still in Cuba with a dual citizenship of Spain. So she flew over to Mexico from Cuba, and I flew from Florida to Mexico to be able to see my mom. I’ve been in the USA for going on 11 years, married, have a beautiful daughter, and my mom has been able to leave Cuba, and live with us.

SURE so you deflected stopped being a medical doctor, and became a houswife in the U.S. where economy is better...What's the message, that you opted for being a poor somebody to become a not so poor nobody. But you are happy because your husband provides even for you mommy... Ask your mother is she is happy with her new life??

I was in Cuba before the embargo was lifted. One thing I noticed was how the people interacted with each other. It reminded me of growing up in the 70s before cell phones, internet, and all the other mess we deal with today. They were stuck in 1959, but it was a better vibe!

That’s cool. I do like today’s technology? But I like real vibes from a person too. And respect and manners . But cause I’m a southern woman it is what my parents taught me and cause my mom is a Scottish police officer she expected it. And to be Scottish and a police officer she was quite patient . Probably had to be.

From what vibe do you open what is a lot of hunger and misery. I realize that being lost in time in '59 was much better than now. They are not informed to be talking about things that are not

    • @harryrussell154
      @harryrussell154 7 місяців тому

@@Fedi143 It is a better vide in that they were living in a time without cell phones, internet, and media indoctrination. I didn't say it was a prosperous place. They have a smooth scam for tourists for getting milk for their kids. Can't blame them. I hope as they are enveloped by the modern times they can hold the moral line and keep the correct perspective. Nobody else has been able to. Their isolation in the past might be what saves them in the future.

My parents are Cuban and they always talked to me about how beautiful it was before these baffoons took over. Not only that, their money was worth the same as the US. It is sad what they've become. This video notes that education, medical, and housing is free. The degrees are useless since they get paid close to nothing. Sure medical is free but God forbid you have to go to the hospital. You have to bring your own sheets, medicine, and any other supply that may be needed. The hospitals are dirty and lack so much. Housing is free and generations live in the same house that in many cases are still standing by the grace of God. Cuba needs democracy so that it can prosper not a one corrupt party system.

Some of 'em came back to Cuba. Dont ask me. Life in Cuba went up One Step. Still Million things to be done. But at least.....got little better...& we all can watch in the internet.

Specifically on the island in where if you go homeless you’ll just move in with your relatives. But homelessness is real still. Better than the U.S? In what way ? This looks WAYY worse than bay city last time I checked every city in the U.S has electricity, a grocery store where you can buy food. And clothes where you na buy cheap at some thrift store. una medida unilateral por parte de EU y sus aliados llevaron a mantener este embargo hacia Cuba

    • @TripperTours

There are several reasons for the number of vintage vehicles on Cuban streets. For one, the imposition of the U.S. embargo in 1962 made it impossible for Cubans to access new American cars. In addition, the Cuban government tightly restricted car imports and sales until recently. The only buyer in the country was the government, which for decades purchased its new fleets primarily from the Soviet Union, distributing them as a reward to select workers. n recent years, the Cuban government has begun to relax some of the restrictions on importing new cars.

Perhaps if you start by telling the truth but not, you prefer to tell porky pies. Cuba has many cars that were very modern for the time...and, as time pass then newer cars came alone...the truth is that Castro didn't want it and does it. Do you know about all the Mercedes limousine that Castro collected...and a lot more. Stop the fucking lies! I don't really care if you report me in UA-cam or even if you tell you Cuban friends to find me...the truth is the truth!

I give respect to the Cuban people for their courage, strength, determination and resilience in the face of US imperialism. That is the only reason why they are not thriving. Political ideology if you are not like us and allow us to exploit you then we will do everything to make your life miserable. It’s a shame because Castro has long been passed, so what is the US excuse now. I don’t know what the Cubans in America are thinking about, I don’t agree with all my family political views but I don’t want them to have the hardest life possible to prove I am right, make it make sense.

Videos like this ensure that Cuba would be one of the last places I would ever want to visit.
It's dirty. There doesn't appear to be much to do on the streets other than walk and maybe watch some makeshift band play. No wonder no one wants to talk about it.
If the USA was running the show, the whole place would soon turn into a poor man's version of Hawaii.

Cuba is a crap place for anyone there & for the visitors...all because the Castro's regime & their followers that in whole they killed everyone & everything that gets in their way....and for the comparison with Hawaii, no way...Hawaii & many other places or States within the USA territory are bad to worse because the democratic party that are a twin thing to a socialist doctrine also because quite a few corrupted politicians...
