ARABBA 21.01.2022: Abfahrt von Porta Vescovo nach Arabba

Arabba war der nächste Ort auf der Sella-Runde, an dem für ein paar Abfahrten die Runde unterbrochen wurde. Abfahrt und Ort sind genial, genauer die große Kabinenbahn, welche einen mit rasanter Geschwindigkeit innerhalb von 5 Minuten an den Start der Piste bringt in einer Höhe von 2478 m. Startet man die Abfahrt innerhalb überschaubarer Zeit, erreicht man die Seilbahnstation in 1602 m Höhe kurz vor Einfahrt der Gondel ... Ski ab, rein in die Bahn und in 5 Minuten ist man wieder oben.
Neben der Piste Nr. 5 wurde auch die schwarze 3 befahren, die mir (abgesehen vom Zielhang) sogar besser als die 5 gefiel.

Arabba was the next place on the Sella circuit where the circuit was interrupted for a few descents. The descent and location are awesome, more precisely the large cable car, which takes you to the start of the piste in an altitude of 2478 m within 5 minutes at breakneck speed. If you start the descent within a manageable time, you will reach the cable car station (altitude 1602 m) just before the gondola enters ... Ski off, get on the gondola and in 5 minutes you are back up.
In addition to slope no. 5, the black 3 was also used, which I liked even better than the 5 (apart from the finish slope).

Although it is a long time ago, I well remember when I was a beginner, took the wrong direction and ended up at a red or black slope: Horrible . But apart from taking the wrong direction: I sometimes think that some slopes are marked blue although I would rate it red (same applies for red which I would rate black). May be they do it when no alternative is available.

@@Bperennis agree w you. unfortunately here in Turkey the slopes are marked one level lower- this is what I learned on my first ski trip in EU- was Arabba:)

Ja, das ist eine tolle Abfahrt. Insofern man sich auskennt, ist die mir bisher nur aus Sommerurlauben vertraute Region ein tolles Skigebiet. Habe noch eine Reihe weiterer sehr schöner Pisten entdeckt und inzwischen den Vorsatz, ein Ranking-Video der schönsten Abfahrten entlang der Sellarunde zu erstellen.
