I know 😂 everybody "hates" capitalism but loves buying things, having cool stuff like movies and video games, love restaurants, their cell phone. Going to conventions. Like any of this exists without capitalism. People aren't going to develop technology for a loaf of bread and some potatoes😂 Nor are they going to dress up in costumes with thousands of other people to just have fun and burn some time because they won't have time, they'll be trying to survive and meet the daily basics. What people hate is the idea that they can't get anywhere, no matter how hard they work. Which the average person can't because modern capitalism doesn't work how it's supposed too. There is no fair market, fair taxes, no trickle down economics, no living wage, people in positions of authority making bank from the stock market, poor working conditions, etc etc Ironically enough, there isn't enough regulations in regards to capitalism. I absolutely hate saying that because I strongly advocate for smaller government at a regional level but I do think government at the country level is important for things like crime, public services, healthcare, that kind of stuff.

If this is because soviet society is associated with grey, unimaginative architechure etc, then know that russias priority back then was to house people deal with the consequences of war and recover the economy.. under actual communism, not soviet style socialism, the people ™ decide their fates for themselves.. and if the people want cosplay conventions..
