Then might I suggest the novella “This is How You Lose the Time War?” Achingly sweet and beautiful sapphic enemies-to-lovers sci fi. This whole scene with the shooting stars just SCREAMS this book to me.

I know the hot tub means something else but because Ayda is a Phoenix the hot tub is probobly much closer to ayda’s actual body temperature.

This is wonderful, but as someone who is working on Image Processing at uni, I thought to myself "Jesus, how the heck did Ayda manage to get the framing of this right? I mean I know the sky is infinite, but this is so many words to read and I don't know how much is in fig's field of vision?"

I imagine it like a dot matrix printer across the sky where each meteor is a single pixel, so it’s all about spacing and timing, which in a vacuum would be nigh constant. It’s a LOT of math to get it just right.

I imagine he would need to go to gnomish tinkerers so pricing might be weird and they would essentially be creating new technology, so it could be anywhere from crazy journey to collect all the materials from the corners of the world to what is incredibly expensive for the tinkerers but extremely cheap for modern day Elmville.

however these are characters that are sepperate from them but the "cucking" was inherited by their players but does not exist inside the narrative

I think they're so good at roleplay that you can feel that they're not talking to the person in front of them, they are talking to the character. And i think they're mature enough to separate those personas and enjoy the narrative for themselves as well as the viewer.
I think its Brennan imagining writing these words to his Wife Izzy through these characters.
These words arent for Emily specifically. And other characters get flirts and romances if they pursue them as well.
