I just recently started film photography and my first/only photo lab was/is Sammy's Photo Lab in LES, but started buying a developing kit and scanner as I want to do the process on my own, as I think it's a big part of the film photography, and it's much more personal in a way. Just like the whole idea of being the one who will get that shot to the final destination, and create something from scratch, if that makes sense... P.S. Oh yeah and prices are: I think : c41 - 14$ (scanned photos on a USB stick) b/w - 18$ (scanned photos on a USB stick) If you want your pics on email instead of USB it's 5$ more, I don't quite understand why tho xD
This is such an incredible resource for film photographers here in the city! I always get asked what lab I use by my friends who are getting into film, and from now on I'm just gonna send them this video so they can pick for themselves. You guys are killin it with the videos and the effort you're putting in is definitely paying off! Also, after watching this it might be time to jump ship to a new lab. phtsdr here I come ;)
I like Bleeker. I'm going to try them. And YEA !!! Find me a even better place even if it's online. Just as long as there's a very good open communication with the place. Thanks !!!
That last comparison really help me decide. It really don't matter price I'm looking for quality. Some of my 35mm films are 25yrs old. I just care about getting my photos
Love Accurate. I been going there for 4 years and I don't go anywhere else. The price/turnaround is good and they're really friendly. Another good one is Color Resource Center. I had good experiences there. Cant speak on their scans since I do my own scanning but the negatives came back good. I never knew about Eliz Digital though. I'll go visit them soon. Edit: forgot to mention, Duggal is good for 4x5 developing. LTI Lightside is another spot.
Wow! This video was so well done 👍🏾 kudos to you and your team!!! 🙌🏾 I’ve been a huge fan of phtsdr for a long time even tho I’ve never used their service as I live in Toronto lol. I must say, I’m impressed with their results, they definitely know their stuff! Hopefully I’ll get to use their service next time I’m in New York. Again, thank you for this amazing content! 🙏🏾
I went to NYC last summer, and I got my films processed at Accurate. What a lovely family. The lady in the video and her husband are the nicest people ever and you can tell they love their job. I was very happy with the results, and they work so fast!!
Right??! They told me that although can’t go through every single shot and color grade them correctly, but they do try to slightly color balance on the skin tone and the sky. I feel like that the scans they gave me are most true to life.
Im not from New York or America at that, but still... Bleeker was awesome. Great definition colour sharpness and contrast! Love from Dublin, Ireland :)

But sometimes it's also good to support the family owned ones, really great to see their passion.
