Can someone please shut the old lady up? She really needs to stop talking at this point. She created this disaster when she insisted on getting concubines for Lingyi. She knew that he wouldn't be able to accept them because that wasn't the kind of life that he wanted...she just didn't care what he wanted... She did the same thing with Lianfang. He told her that he didn't want to marry her but she insisted. Lianfang nearly destroyed the family. The GM caused the death of her unborn grandchild the same as Lianfang... two peas in a pod. Her reasoning doesn't make sense...she was scared that Qin would be bullied by Lingyi's legal wife..come on that sounds stupid as hell. I'm all for Qin wanting revenge on the GM for causing her so much pain but she was willing to harm innocent people in order to ger justice. It seems the entire harem blames Shiyi for something....Qin blames her for not being chosen to raise that little boy. Shiyi was upfront with her from the beginning. She told her that she would try her best but in the end the decision is Lingyi/the GM. Qin was the one that assumed that it was a done deal. I feel bad for her because she lost so much.
Totally agree! I can't stand the old lady. If I had been any one of the "wives," I'd have found a way to get as far away from this toxic family the first chance I got. Pawn personal possessions, save my "allowance," anything to get away. Getting exiled to that villa outside of town would have been a definite plus. Easier to escape from there. Plus, you wouldn't have to deal with the old witch on a daily basis. That alone would have made me "violate" their precious rules - just so I was cast out.

Once she was gone...Lingyi wouldn't have put up much of a fight. He would've let me walk away with no problem. The reason everyone was stuck is because of the old lady. Although I hate the old lady for obvious reasons but her son is also no saint. He is an equally insensitive jerk as his mother. This guy was more affectionate and respectful towards all other concubines except her even when he knew that rest of them were nothing scheming greedy witches. I am astonished how he still thinks that he had the right to question her about her loyalty towards him after treating her like a sex toy and abandoning her into a part of his house without any regards towards her emotions.
The root of the problems is the great madam from what I've seen so far. Keep making wrong decisions for the family and put them in danger. You're now old, lady, just sit down and let the young ones handle the house
