Tal had this same exact position where he sacrificied the queen the same way and same continuation. How ironic

I'm watching it again today actually the best move was queen to d3 bcoz it garrisoned barricaded White's entire army except for the lone bishop if you notice his three pieces were in the first rank till the end Morphy didn't allow Paulsen to develop or activate his pieces this must rank as one of the greatest and most beautiful sacs of all times

Alguien comentó un día que Morphy no era humano, ya que las defensas contra las jugadas de Morphy requerían de defensas de tipo ordenador, que muy pocas veces un jugador puede hacer...n estos tiempos con un ajedrez tan pragmatico Paul Morphy hubiera acabado con todos nosotros...esto lo dijo el propio bobby Fischer.... Grande Paul Morphy un genio de comparable a cualquier científico memorable, tenía pasta de verdad

@5:46 instead of black queen takes Bf3, it would be better if black queen takes Rf1. If white queen takes black queen f1, rook to e1. If queen capture, there's one more rook to mate the white king

Well I have watched this game many times and yet this game has a timeless quality queen sac was better than the opera sac well paulsen should have played queen to d one or taken the a pawn with the a rook he was overambitious and underestimated Morphy took him for granted didn't see the combination coming well I bet no one in the modern era would have seen that coming well that's Morphy for you he himself took a quarter
