This shows that I have been saying this all the time, AC Milan is a global brand all thanks to the big names that played in the club or the fact that AC Milan won the second most UCLs after real madrid. Gerry Cardinale needs to realise this, that AC has huge global following and shouldnt mess with the legacy of the team.

I agree, Pulisic is the best player of the Tournament.
I think credit should be given to the management too for the rapid change in replacing Fonseca with Sergio.
I also think the Fonseca firing made the players to change their attitude. Fonseca pushed Leao to do better, that is what he was doing with Theo too, which I think Sergio has benefited. No one hates the players but I always say. Milan is bigger than any player, the team comes first than your interest. Milan is the 2nd best team in Europe interms of Winning UCL, so the players should always keep on doing better. If you are not inform, but up a better attitude on the pitch so you help the team.

Talent - wise Rafa is up there but Pulisic is just lethal, talented as well but way more lethal than Rafa, nothing unnecessary or fancy he just plays very direct, he doesn't play around, he's direct kind of like Bayern Legend Robin, everything he does he is looking for the goal, you can't teach this, you just have it! Every manager's dream, and he showed it at times in the EPL but these Brit Managers didn't give him a proper chance or support!

      @nucleus14reticularis 13 годин тому +1

I disagree also. I am not a Theo hater. I am a fan of AC Milan, which is more important than just any one of its players. In this game, at the end of the 1st half, Theo gave up his 3rd goal in the last 3 consecutive games. I don't care about his offense (keep in mind, Pulisic is the one who hustled to the Theo ball, surprising the defender much like Pulisic did in drawing the penalty kick against Juventus); Theo is a defender, and he should be judged on his defense, and this game was his typically IRRESPONSIBLE performance. This is an empirical fact. (1) At 37:40, Theo let's Lautaro through but luckily Mkhitaryan takes the shot himself and it goes wide. While Thiaw was there, he was flat-footed and Theo could see that and should have stayed on Lautaro. (2) Regarding the goal at the end of the 1st half, Theo jogs back, gets turned around, and then tries to swing back around too slowly and slides his leg out. Thiaw is right there jockeying correctly, so Theo needs to close down Lautaro immediately. (3) At 70:52, Lautaro cuts back but instead of closing him down, Theo slows down only to find Lautaro dishing off to Dumfries, which should have been Theo's cover if he's not going to close down Lautaro. Essentially, Theo lets both players go right by, which leads to Augusto's header that hits the post and almost goes in. (4) At 74:22, Theo just walks and lets Dumfries jog right by. If Lautaro got to that through pass on the left, he would have fed Dumfries on the right side, and Theo would have been caught in no-man's-land again. (5) At 75:05, Theo jogs back and peels away irresponsibly to get ready for a possible counterattack, leaving Barella alone against Thiaw, who slides and kicks the ball away. In this play, Theo wasn't the only one at fault, because Fofana should have closed down Barella as well. (6) At 82:56, Zielinski gives a through ball to Tharemi, but Theo does not close down to assist Thiaw and, as usual, slows down and peels away to a walk, while Dumfries rushes past Theo to help out Tharemi. (7) At 86:46, the long ball gets to Frattesi while Theo jogs back, not even trying to get goal side. Thank God, Thiaw's slide gets the ball. If Theo had sprinted to goal side even before the play emerged, which is what he should have done, he could have even dispossessed the ball himself. (8) At 94:54, Theo closes down Bisseck and shouts out and swings his arm out in satisfaction. That was the very 1st time all game that he actually tried to play lockdown defense! In sum, 7 "incidents" in 1 game is a hell of a lot and goes on to describe what Theo does in EVERY SINGLE game. Also, notice how many of the 7 Theo "incidents" included Thiaw, who single-handedly compensated for Theo's lack of defensive interest (although Thiaw did give up the 2nd goal). The only defense that can consistently compensate for Theo's blatant defensive irresponsibility is the France national team. This is about the only game that AC Milan's defense was able to partially compensate for Theo's willful defensive incompetence, luckily.

No one has the skill level of Leao but Pulisic is the more effective plauyer. Better finishing, better positioning, better off the ball movement. When he came to the team I was arguing with Milan fans about whether he would score more goals every year than Leao. They were not understanding his chief asset which is off the ball movement.

In the previous 15 hours of gameplay going back to the 23rd of November Inter had only been scored on twice.
One of those coming from stalwarts RB Leipzig.
Then Milan puts in 3 goals in 43 minutes!!!
    Absolutely phenomenal!

I would love to see Alex Jimenez given a shot at RB behind Pulisic..It's a position we've struggled with where Calabria is a bit injury-prone and Emerson is just not it and needs some competition to step up. I really like the way he plays and carries himself on the pitch.

Leaos pass to Abraham was absolutely perfect - hits it into the ground so that it bounces over Bisseck who's trying the block the pass and again touches the ground right in front of Abrahams feet.
That's why Leao is so frustrating - the guy can do everything if he puts his mind to it.

With regards to Theo, news today has been going around in Milan that he is close to renewal. As for MVP of the supercup, it's hard not to give it to Leao considering the massive impact he had in the decisive match (took part in all 3 goals). Pulisic deserves it too though for both games.

Super happy with the trophy, hopefully a start of a beautiful story.
On your analysis: I think you are missing Theo's responsibility on the first goal. Solely blaming Emerson is poor attention to detail. Theo switched off just as much and jogged his way back in position. Let's not make him the team's scapegoat. His performance throughout the game was not that bad. One of the lesser performances of the team but still not a bad one. We have to remember the good and the back for each player.
Great start of the calendar year!

Immediately after Christian tied it up, I thought to myself , I can not wait to watch Kush's reaction and hear his take. So proud of the team. Also, I know I have said this before, but what is your take on Musah playing right back? I know he has done it on occasion before, but it's so obvious that he is a better defender than Emerson, he has more pace than Emerson, he also has extremely great ball control, dribbling, and whips in a cross very well.. maybe we don't have enough depth at wing and mid to sacrifice him for position idk .

Next time we need the curva sud here to lead the fans with the Milan chants.

The latest is always the sweetest though Milan have pulled quite a few comebacks against Inter over the years - including a legendary goal by Seedorf that overcame a 2-0 lead back in 2004. What makes this special that it was a title-wining performance against Inter on Day 8 of a new coach taking over. Recover, recuperate and then onto Cagliari.

Milan definitely feeling the new coach bump. Wait to see what happens in a few months. Easy to say that about Fonseca and try to save face after you "won" the battle with him.
If Theo finishes the season strong I would still sell him if a 55-60m+ offer comes in.

Big big thanks to Sergio conceicao for revining the confidence of the players that was totally down in this season ans ending a cup drought of 2 years. I am on cloud 9 but this doesn't mean i have excused the management and ownership. It angered me when Ibra was smiling and claiming part in the victory when he was the one that appointed fonseca, he should be apologising to the fans for the mistakes he has made. To gerry cardinale, i still want him gone but if he wants to reddem himself he better listen to the demands of Sergio and fullfills, no refusal and firing.

I agree with everything you said about Leao and Theo, we as fans should support them a lot more. I disagree with your ratings Big w's for Theo, Leao, Fofana (underrated), Thiaw, Maignan and Pulisic.
L's for Emerson (he's terrible), Morata and Tammy (even tho he's scored he's just bad)
