The way I see it, Complete UI will be better 7 times out of 10 compared to True UI Sign. However, there are contexts in which Goku's emotions run rampant, which effectively nerf Complete UI, and buff True UI Sign, and during these times, True UI Sign is the better alternative, even if it's not his end-all-be-all.

Most people I've seen share these beliefs. I've only seen commenters try and say TUI is better. He needs both, especially since he hasn't mastered MUI yet. TUI only helped Goku against Gas because he couldn't control his emotions at that moment. Later we see him using MUI when he calms down again, and that's how he actually defeats Gas
Different forms ++ different circumstances ++ in simple terms MUI focus more on offensive & defense, however TUI leads to emotions giving you more strength.
Whis stated that Goku's main weakness is that he focuses too much in offense, so MUI is what Goku aspires to be as an ultimate martial artists while TUI is a way to cover that flaw partially while maintaining his fighting style
I'm actually 100% sure his next powerup is gonna be stacking ssj onto tui. possibly on accident, after getting angered enough. i wouldnt be surprised if we got a second "ssj awakening" against black frieza. thatd be a really cool moment.

I mean the thing is TUI is clearly still a transformation, his end goal _is_ to make full use of Ultra Instinct in base form alone without the need to transform, but he’s still not even close to that yet. TUI is a step in the right direction since it’s much more natural to him being able to use emotions, but it essentially is just tapping into UI Sign but having much more freedom in controlling it
TUI does not exist. It's basically U.I sign/omen but with more liberty. Instead of Goku shutting down his emotions to use the form efficiently, he can still use the form and all it's perks but more freely; however, the U.I sign has way less power than the silver-haired one, this was said by whis recently.

TUI is basically the offensive version of UI. UI balances both properties of offense and defense. It's just Goku adapted more easily to the defensive side of it TOP. He didn't really grasp the offensive side until TUI realizing he can use TUI differently because it requires less emotional restriction. He needs MUI when defense and offense becomes a whole.
TUI being introduced gives them a reason to keep using the black haired Ultra Instinct to sell toys since many people still love the Omen look. It makes sense why they would want to keep both TUI and MUI and give both advantages and disadvantages so we can see them both and sell toys of both.
I hope Goku revisit his Kaioken again sometimes in the future and master it further. There's this one fan sprite animation that have Goku combine Blue and Kaioken, but unlike in the anime they took the concept from manga instead. In that animation Blue Kaioken became Super Saiyan Purple instead, because just like in manga Goku keep his Ki from leaking outside of his body, thus combining Blue and Kaioken entirely and making his hair Purple in the process. Maybe if manga Goku master his Kaioken and stack it with MUI his hair would be a metallic or shiny reddish color with a silvery undertone, resembling a metallic red or a muted red with shimmer.

It’ll be cool if there is a point where Goku use both states or UI in the heat of combat. Kinda like how at one point in the manga, SSG was used as a base and SSB came out when he needs a momentary boost in defense or offense. It was be a similar here with TUI would be a base but Goku would whip out MUI for a moment for heightened sense and fire power. It could even reference how Vegeta describe Jiren’s attacks in the Super Hero movie.
I Think the same, but I belive theres also a true mastered UI, so in the end goku would be using the white hair all the time. But switching from "Goku style" to "angel style" based on how his emotions are. Angel MUI would be stronger, with Dodging but needs to be calm... while Goku MUI does not dodge, but can feel the ways he wants to.
Honestly, I can see Sign mixxing with SSJ and MUI mixxing with Kaioken for an extra form state. It would also paint a path forwards, especially if SSBKai can go further than that, maybe x20 or x50 who knows. But it would show that since he's combined SSJ with Kaioken, he could, in theory, mix Sign and MUI if he can just figure out the trick.
I don't really see MUI and TUI as completely different forms; just different levels/types of mastery. TUI is just UI-Sign, with Goku being able to let his emotions with it. I think the goal is to master UI so that he can fully utilize it with his emotions. The Goku that sparred with Gohan at the end seems more like a fusion of TUI and MUI to me. Something like an MTUI (mastered true ultra instinct) or TMUI (true mastered ultra instinct).
Ui with emotions - calm ui - tui i think is where things are going to go. Maybe tui will become goku's base and then he could increase it's accuracy through his transformations and ui with emotions will be his strongest form.

The issue is in order to reach new heights you have to be able to adapt and move forward…. If you stay limiting yourself you’ll never grow and get stronger…. UI might be able to help goku but it only shows that goku is not truly training as best as he can, which angered whis because why are they even bother to train if they aren’t truly going to take it seriously and grow…. You have to get comfortable being uncomfortable, you cannot grow in your safe space……. Same as vegeta in Z or KAI vegeta was himself who he really needs to be, meanwhile in super he’s trying so hard to be someone he’s not and because of that he’s hit his limits and not able to grow…. He can be an ass and still grow but if he over trains and doesn’t come to and understanding of he can still have a life and family while understanding the fundamentals of as a destroyer nothing matters…. You have to get comfortable being uncomfortable.
Great content legit didn’t even consider this concept. It seems even since conception on mui/tui the we’re taking it back to goku strongest benefit. The nature/nurture concept: is goku an earthling grandpa goku’s son, or the son of bardock a true saiyan. He is both that duality is the lead he’s always had over vegeta. Ps. It`s would be funny if Omen was the thing that make SSJ4 canon. Like the idea is Goku emotion and instinct is heighten due to a point, where got something similar to the first time SSJ3 appear in the anime where there a small sequence that he turn Oozaru before returning back to Goku. We could do something similar that and when it happend he turn into SSJ4 with Omen active. And then when he use Master the entire Fur turn silver to reference to SSJ5.
I think the next transformation for goku needs to be similar to mui were its more of a horizontal powerup rather than a base power up like ssj to ssj2 3 god blu etc

Everybody gangsta until Goku and Vegeta fuses Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego with Saiyan God Ki and turns into Super Saiyan. Super Saiyan Instinct and Super Saiyan Ego
Something to point out, MUI and TUI are treated like Blue and God in the manga. Both forms are used for their different strengths. God is a base form, so it's easier to maintain and uses far less energy/stamina. Blue is harder to maintain and quickly eats through their Ki reserves. So Goku and Vegeta would use God in prolonged fights, only switching to Blue when they needed to deal some real damage, then dropping back down to God. Goku seems to be doing this with TUI and MUI. TUI is easier to maintain and doesn't put much strain on his body, while MUI is harder to maintain and puts his body through immense strain. Although its not the same situation as God and Blue, where he'll swap between them during a fight. It's more of a prebattle decision based on his opponent. A battle where he can easily keep his heart Calm means he'll get more milage out of MUI, but when he knows that won't be possible, TUI will let him last longer.
I think TUI would be a more cost-efficient form, which allows Goku to get extra mileage out of the general power of Ultra Instinct without forcing his body to overtax itself by essentially betraying his true nature. On the other hand, MUI would be Goku drawing out ever bit of power he is currently capable of, by mastering that nature of his under the veil of perfect focus. MUI will always be stronger because it's simply Goku fighting at his absolute peak. However, TUI is gonna be the best-case if Goku wants to pace himself because it still offers many of the benefits but allows him to enjoy the fight while also not being forced to basically overclock his body to withstand the full weight of UI for prolonged periods

what if Goku develops a type of angelic switch between MUI and TUI my reason for asking this question is based on the God Switch Technique when Goku uses MUI for defensive purposes and then he switches to TUI for offensive purposes
mui is perfect offence and defence, ui sign is one or the other, he'd only use tui when his emotions get the better of him, so it's likely he'd use mui early on and the more frustrated he gets the more likely he'll end up using tui (plus mui drains his stamina the fastest out of any transformation and when it does it gets significantly worse at attacking and especially defending)
TUI allows for rage boosts. Do I need to even say why that's useful? [Gohan got a 1,000x rage boost against Frieza on Namek. Granted, they were his gimmick for Z, but still, 1,000x?]
So how exactly is TUI an Ultra Instinct form? The sole method of obtaining Ultra Instinct is by having a clear mind and conscience to let your body defend and attack on its own. But while Goku uses TUI, he doesn't poses any of the qualities that Ultra Instinct requires or any of its abilities, no auto attacking and defending. So again, in what way is TUI and Ultra Instinct form?
TUI is essentially UI Sign but empowered with his emotions. UI Sign is still a step below MUI since his body isn’t completely working on its own, so Goku can sorta guide it by letting his emotions take the rein while still being in a somewhat natural state since he’s more comfortable. It’s like a more realistic take on the flow state we have irl: we still are conscious enough to need to put in the effort, and sometimes that’s by letting our emotions flow freely
i think best form would be super saiyan stacked with Ultra İnstict if he was able to use Emotions with Ultra İnstict he should be able to go super saiyan too these two stacked with TUI would be op and a chance aganist Black Frieza and it would be cool to start with Super Saiyan in Namek and End it with Super Saiyan Aganist Frieza

Ultra Instinct Sign/Omen - the first and incomplete form of Ultra Instinct that Goku unlocked within the TOP, it’s weaker than Mastered Ultra Instinct but Goku is also able to make more use of out of his emotions in this form, as it does not require COMPLETE calm Mastered Autonomous Ultra Instinct - the white haired and completed form of Ultra Instinct that Goku unlocked later in the TOP, requires complete tranquillity and calm to enter, which is why Goku couldn’t use this state in the Broly movie during the brief moment his hair flashed white. True Ultra Instinct - a technique utilized by the angels for autonomous defense and offense, now being able to be used by Goku and its more efficient based on his power level, which is why it gets better as his transformations progress. Goku’s usage of Ultra Instinct is what allows the two transformations to exist, Ultra Instinct before Goku was purely a technique that had been created and perfected by the Angels and also used by Gods of Destruction. There is a case to be argued that it’s due to Goku’s Saiyan physiology that Ultra Instinct can exist as a transformation, as Ultra Ego is a technique made into a transformation by Vegeta after he gained an understanding of destruction from Beerus. UI Omen/Sign and TUI are not the same. Omen does not need Goku to be calm, TUI does. one is a transformation beyond Super Saiyan that elevates Goku’s power level and burns out his body further. Idk i think that TUI is just a way to keep using the black hair UI design and is also just the new “stronger” form. Its also a way of walking back “complete calmness and focus” needed for UI, even though we literally saw MUI goku screaming and being FURIOUS during the ToP already. They did this exact same thing before because remember, blue was all about being calm to be able to use both super saiyan and ssg and how that calmness let him use kaioken too. Fighting Gas was a marathon; a fight of conserving stamina.
Going all out against Gohan was showing his full power without worrying about stamina.

I kind of pegged tui something like Kaio-ken, it’s still a form but more like a boost. I’m hoping they have it stack later like Omen+Blue+KaioKen.

But switching from "Goku style" to "angel style" based on how his emotions are.
Angel MUI would be stronger, with Dodging but needs to be calm... while Goku MUI does not dodge, but can feel the ways he wants to.
Honestly, I can see Sign mixxing with SSJ and MUI mixxing with Kaioken for an extra form state.
It would also paint a path forwards, especially if SSBKai can go further than that, maybe x20 or x50 who knows. But it would show that since he's combined SSJ with Kaioken, he could, in theory, mix Sign and MUI if he can just figure out the trick.
I don't really see MUI and TUI as completely different forms; just different levels/types of mastery. TUI is just UI-Sign, with Goku being able to let his emotions with it. I think the goal is to master UI so that he can fully utilize it with his emotions. The Goku that sparred with Gohan at the end seems more like a fusion of TUI and MUI to me. Something like an MTUI (mastered true ultra instinct) or TMUI (true mastered ultra instinct).
Ui with emotions - calm ui - tui i think is where things are going to go. Maybe tui will become goku's base and then he could increase it's accuracy through his transformations and ui with emotions will be his strongest form.
I still feel like there will be a more true when it's not a transformation anymore like whis said.

Hear me out: Mastered True Ultra Instinct. Does it make sense? No. Could they do it and give us a crazy explanation? Hell yes
The issue is in order to reach new heights you have to be able to adapt and move forward…. If you stay limiting yourself you’ll never grow and get stronger…. UI might be able to help goku but it only shows that goku is not truly training as best as he can, which angered whis because why are they even bother to train if they aren’t truly going to take it seriously and grow…. You have to get comfortable being uncomfortable, you cannot grow in your safe space……. Same as vegeta in Z or KAI vegeta was himself who he really needs to be, meanwhile in super he’s trying so hard to be someone he’s not and because of that he’s hit his limits and not able to grow…. He can be an ass and still grow but if he over trains and doesn’t come to and understanding of he can still have a life and family while understanding the fundamentals of as a destroyer nothing matters…. You have to get comfortable being uncomfortable.
Great content legit didn’t even consider this concept. It seems even since conception on mui/tui the we’re taking it back to goku strongest benefit. The nature/nurture concept: is goku an earthling grandpa goku’s son, or the son of bardock a true saiyan. He is both that duality is the lead he’s always had over vegeta.

Like the idea is Goku emotion and instinct is heighten due to a point, where got something similar to the first time SSJ3 appear in the anime where there a small sequence that he turn Oozaru before returning back to Goku.

Something to point out, MUI and TUI are treated like Blue and God in the manga.
Both forms are used for their different strengths. God is a base form, so it's easier to maintain and uses far less energy/stamina. Blue is harder to maintain and quickly eats through their Ki reserves. So Goku and Vegeta would use God in prolonged fights, only switching to Blue when they needed to deal some real damage, then dropping back down to God.
Goku seems to be doing this with TUI and MUI. TUI is easier to maintain and doesn't put much strain on his body, while MUI is harder to maintain and puts his body through immense strain.
Although its not the same situation as God and Blue, where he'll swap between them during a fight. It's more of a prebattle decision based on his opponent. A battle where he can easily keep his heart Calm means he'll get more milage out of MUI, but when he knows that won't be possible, TUI will let him last longer.
I really wish Ultra Instinct was just a state of mind and not a damn transformation. It would make Ssg and ssb especially, ACTUALLY useful.

I think TUI would be a more cost-efficient form, which allows Goku to get extra mileage out of the general power of Ultra Instinct without forcing his body to overtax itself by essentially betraying his true nature.
On the other hand, MUI would be Goku drawing out ever bit of power he is currently capable of, by mastering that nature of his under the veil of perfect focus. MUI will always be stronger because it's simply Goku fighting at his absolute peak. However, TUI is gonna be the best-case if Goku wants to pace himself because it still offers many of the benefits but allows him to enjoy the fight while also not being forced to basically overclock his body to withstand the full weight of UI for prolonged periods

my reason for asking this question is based on the God Switch Technique when Goku uses MUI for defensive purposes and then he switches to TUI for offensive purposes
mui is perfect offence and defence, ui sign is one or the other, he'd only use tui when his emotions get the better of him, so it's likely he'd use mui early on and the more frustrated he gets the more likely he'll end up using tui (plus mui drains his stamina the fastest out of any transformation and when it does it gets significantly worse at attacking and especially defending)

So how exactly is TUI an Ultra Instinct form? The sole method of obtaining Ultra Instinct is by having a clear mind and conscience to let your body defend and attack on its own.
But while Goku uses TUI, he doesn't poses any of the qualities that Ultra Instinct requires or any of its abilities, no auto attacking and defending.
So again, in what way is TUI and Ultra Instinct form?
TUI is essentially UI Sign but empowered with his emotions. UI Sign is still a step below MUI since his body isn’t completely working on its own, so Goku can sorta guide it by letting his emotions take the rein while still being in a somewhat natural state since he’s more comfortable. It’s like a more realistic take on the flow state we have irl: we still are conscious enough to need to put in the effort, and sometimes that’s by letting our emotions flow freely

Ultra Instinct Sign/Omen - the first and incomplete form of Ultra Instinct that Goku unlocked within the TOP, it’s weaker than Mastered Ultra Instinct but Goku is also able to make more use of out of his emotions in this form, as it does not require COMPLETE calm
Mastered Autonomous Ultra Instinct - the white haired and completed form of Ultra Instinct that Goku unlocked later in the TOP, requires complete tranquillity and calm to enter, which is why Goku couldn’t use this state in the Broly movie during the brief moment his hair flashed white.
True Ultra Instinct - a technique utilized by the angels for autonomous defense and offense, now being able to be used by Goku and its more efficient based on his power level, which is why it gets better as his transformations progress.
Goku’s usage of Ultra Instinct is what allows the two transformations to exist, Ultra Instinct before Goku was purely a technique that had been created and perfected by the Angels and also used by Gods of Destruction. There is a case to be argued that it’s due to Goku’s Saiyan physiology that Ultra Instinct can exist as a transformation, as Ultra Ego is a technique made into a transformation by Vegeta after he gained an understanding of destruction from Beerus.
UI Omen/Sign and TUI are not the same. Omen does not need Goku to be calm, TUI does. one is a transformation beyond Super Saiyan that elevates Goku’s power level and burns out his body further. While the other is a technique that doesn’t grant him anymore battle power but is able to be used in other forms or in base.

Idk i think that TUI is just a way to keep using the black hair UI design and is also just the new “stronger” form. Its also a way of walking back “complete calmness and focus” needed for UI, even though we literally saw MUI goku screaming and being FURIOUS during the ToP already.
They did this exact same thing before because remember, blue was all about being calm to be able to use both super saiyan and ssg and how that calmness let him use kaioken too. But cut to goku black and boom, anger boosts in ssb all over the place.

he uses kaio-ken because of blue's ki control not calmness, that line was a mistranslation and believe it or not they redubbed that and some other stuff and changed it to be more accurate. blue was never gonna be super calm anyway because it combines ssg and a rage based transformation, and rage has almost always equalled strength for a saiyan.
and how does it walk back the calmness and focus for ui when the form literally only exists because of that limitation for mui? if they were walking it back, he'd just be using mui, and if you're really gonna say goku can't be calm during a sparring match with his son idk what to tell you. mui is the meta in a videogame and tui is your main that's all i can do to dumb it down for people who don't understand.

he wouldn't need to transform for gojo, or use any ki attacks, and even if he didn't attack gojo still wouldn't be able to do anything to him. sukuna literally says "if i get hit by another hollow purple (gojo's strongest attack), i WILL die"... then he gets hit by another hollow purple... and survives, killing gojo immediately after. bearing in mind sukuna is magnitudes weaker than goku in terms of offence and defence.
