    Great video! Quick tip: if you invert the image the magenta's will turn green and then you could easily remove the green with SCNR, then inverting it back

    Lol I’d be chuffed with the original image. However we are all at different stages in the hobby and there is nothing wrong with going for perfection

    Helpful video I learned some new stuff! Appreciate the blend of information suitable for beginners too as sometimes that one little thing you don’t know about using a tool can be frustrating to figure out. Thank you!

    Really great stuff, Antoine! I haven't used GAME yet in PI, looking forward to revisiting my M31 data and trying your workflow 😀

    I really see too much blue and pink saturation in the galaxy. The yellows of the spectrum of the old stars in the galactic center are missed. I think that we are turning astrophotography into something too artistic and commercial, which is gradually moving away from reality. Please take it as my personal opinion and vision on this topic. The image is beautiful and the processing technique excellent. A big hug to you and Dalia.

      I have to agree. The colour saturation is too much in this case. And yes, I also agree in the praise that this effort deserves nevertheless. There is much for me to learn from this, as I did not yet transcend beyond simple stretching and processing with Gimp yet.

    Hi, thank you for the videos they are eye opening to many features in PixInsight. Have you a link to the GAME mask editor please?

    Great vid. One question anyone: at 19:37 when you bring up Color Saturation it displays grid points. How did those arise? Is there a way to automate the placement or did you just manually add the points to the grid? Thanks!

    I think by now I've reprocessed all of my data at least twice :D
    Also I'm noticing messier 110 satellite galaxy didn't get the same treatment color-wise.
    In the final result m110 reminds me of beginning of the video when the first autostretch happend.
    Do you think there can be more color data pulled out?

    • @GalacticHunter
      @GalacticHunter  Рік тому +1

      Very true, more colors could have been brought out of M110 (not much detail though), that's because I didn't include it in the quick GAME mask I made but if you take your time and also mask M110 it can definitely be improved

    Nice video Antoine. maybe I missed it, but was the data collected using any filters? clear skies!

    • @GalacticHunter
      @GalacticHunter  Рік тому

      Oops I should have talked about that, it was taken without filters, using a QHY600C camera

    Andromeda is never done. And yes it’s just a distraction to see the person’s body in the video.
    I have 14 hours 5” subs from last year. I got a great image but can’t remember what I did to get it. now want to do two things. Reprocess it . Data from the spacecat. And Now I have a Stellarvue svx 102 with the reducer from Stellarvue. It just fits in the framing assistant in Nina. Or maybe and do a mosaic as well .
    Your Hubble acquisition fit file video is awesome.

    The problem with the edges of the galaxy (white washed out) are likely due to the mask you created. It looks to me that the mask uses a gradient as you near the edges of the mask. To improve, I think you should use a larger mask so the gradient is not so prominent within the galaxy. Just my guess. You could also use two masks, one outside the other?
