I’ll be starting in July, these private nursing schools get a lot of hate, but they are the same as any other nursing program, they are accredited, and they can be a major lifesaver. I took my prerequisites like 5 years ago at community college, mostly made Cs, and that was enough to get rejected at every local community college. Got into an LPN program at a tech college, aced it with a 3.8 GPA getting national technical honors, and guess what? Every local community college rejected my application for their LPN/RN transition program, because of all those Cs I got in college five years ago. Florida is one of the few states that does not let you retake a C, you need a D or an F, which is ridiculous. Galen is a lifesaver and they have everything you need. I’ll be starting the ADN transition in July at St Pete.
Agreed. Sometimes you have to do what you have to. It's more expensive but a lot of people are being waitlisted everywhere now. Galen is accredited and legit.
I start in January, but in Texas. I’m super excited! I hope we have those comfy study chairs in our campus library! 😊Thank you for posting this video and sharing your experience.
