After starscream raised skyquake from the dead into a zombie terrorcon, skyquake's twin dreadwing wasn't very happy about that and one day in the transformers prime cartoon tried to kill starscream as a form of revenge only to end up being killed by megatron for not following the order megatron told him to do.

When Prime and Ratchet fought the zombies, this came to mind, "suddenley Resident Evil"
I always had a soft spot for these guys. I always loved Call of the Primitives because it gave the Terrorcons and Predacons something to do. There were also Horrorcons, who seem to have sadly been forgotten. Titans Return would have been a great time for them to return, but we only got that mini Apeface.

I actually wish we were getting the G1 Terrorcon team. Would’ve been perfect for the beast theme going on. But no it’s yet another interpretation.
Unfortunately they’re mix-matched Decepticons led by Scourge. The team consists of Nightbird, Battletrap, and a supposedly an original 4th Member named Freezer
TF Primes Terrorcons were awesome. The idea of robot zombies was really interesting.
Then they made it to the big screen in 2023’s film: Rise of the Beast. In the movie, the Terrorcons are the enforcers of the monster planet, Unicron. With Scourge as team leader, Nightbird as swift assassin, and Battletrap, a brutal bruiser.
yep and in the climax the terrorcons were killed by the autobot/maximal alliance
Abominus was my first full combiner as a child. I look forward to Abominus being my first modern combiner as well.
That's really clever of the Energon comic to reconcile the difference between their individual Terrorcons with the cartoon's Terrorcon drones by giving the Terrorcons a clone army. Wonder if they were inspired by Beast Machines.

I'd be amazed if it wasn't just total coincidence, but focusing on the similarities helps make the video less of a "listicle"!

I'm honestly in favor of the Terrorcons crew being Predacons from Transformers Prime 7:26 . The more prehistoric dragon breast from Cybertronian the better.
I'm glad they bring Terrorcons back in Power of Prime their one of my favourite Combiners I do want to see their origin story.

Yeah I can see why they're adapting some Decepticons into Terrorcons. Scourge and Nightbird are lot more intimidating than Hun Garr or Cutthroat or Rippersnapper

The G1 Terrorcons will always be a favorite because I love kaiju like monsters and they were the only complete combiner team I had as a kid.

No. It's always annoyed me. They could at least have made a more Frankenstein-ish look.

No. Look how sucky the figures were back then. An animalistic combiner would not have been feasible. Plus it would have had to deviate from the Scramble City style combiner, which is the standard. Only non-Scramble City style combiners are Devestator, Raiden, Predaking and Road Caeser. Monstructor I’m not sure on.
I think the same way, I mean, sure...giant robot combiners are the Classic, and will always be a part of Transformers universe, but five cybertronians combining in one Beast form is something I would like to see, like the original idea for the Predacons in Transformers the Movie...Yes, we did see something like this type of "beast combiner" in Transformers Last Knight, but it was kinda off screen combining, and let's be honest, it's a Bay-verse... Terrorcon's original concept seems perfect for this,...and I would love to see Kaiju version of Abominus, same goes for the Seacons and their combination,..Piranhacon.
I never really cared much for the terrorcons but I can see how they could be utilized for some cool story telling
I do like the originals, but the Terrorcon drones of Energon hold a special spot in my Spark. Although I only have Divebomb!
Hun-Grrr is a badass in the old Devil's Due Transformers/GI Joe comics, one of the few places he got to shine a little bit. He's featured prominently (at least for the terrorcons) in Volume 3 with the whole Serpent O.R. story arc.

The Terrorcons are one of those groups I *wish* some form of fiction would give some expansion on. The G1 version, I mean.

The POTP Terrorcons are the best versions of them we'll ever get.
With the new rise of the beast movie, I feel like at this point any transformer that is connected to unicron or is a herald of unicron should be called a Terracon and the original G1 terrorcons should be called the Horrorcons. Because at this point, the G1 Horicon’s are basically mercenary’s. At this point I think the name fits more with the G1 terrorcons. because terrorcons has been mostly used as a term for any transformer connected to unicron.
I have always liked Rippersnapper, he was my first Terrorcon so he has a special place in my heart. For some reason I have always liked the team, perhaps because of the "way out of the box" designs.

I would like to see Hasbro make upgraded versions of the Energon Terrorcons into a combiner team. They would have to be deluxe class and They have to do Scorponok to!
I just finished collecting the power of the primes terrorcons and I got to say they are AWESOME! the G1 terrorcons was and still are my favorite G1 decepticon combiner team.
The terrocons from g1 is my favorite out of all the other terrocons In the other transformers series. And I always wonder, why Abominus isn't like Predaking that is tough. Because computron, and other combiners take him on. They are able to beat him.
Watsonian reason: Abominus is pretty much mindless, while Predaking's mind has a singular purpose. This means the skill of his component minds carries over in a way it doesn't for Abominus.
Doylist reason: Predaking's toy is bigger.
Actual reason: Predaking loses all the dang time, what are you talking about?

If you're unaware, the term comes from Sherlock Holmes, where the stories were written in-universe by John Watson as accounts of his adventures, but were written in real life by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to make money. So "Watsonian and Doylist" means two ways of thinking about a story, from the perspective of "why did this happen in the story" and "why did the writer make it this way."
For instance, in the movie, you have all the new characters like Hot Rod and Ultra Magnus and Kup, who are supposed to have been around for a while but have never actually appeared before then. The Watsonian reason is that they've been around, and we just never met them for various reasons. The Doylist reason is that they simply hadn't been designed by then.

Abominus Has anger management issues, While Predaking focuses on one purpose, That is Hunting, because of this reason he is more Powerful than other Combiners, even Ones Like Menasor

Well, it's been nearly two years since then, so it's looking like a no. Late-run IDW was really bad at doing anything with certain characters except as canon fodder.
I loved how in the latest Legends comics they depicted the G1 Terrorcons as actually being spies from the Quintessons.
With Infernocus who worked for Quintessa being a remold of Prime's Abomynus; and the Energon Terrorcons who worked for Alpha Q, it makes it feel like things have gone full circle.
Terrorcon Cliffjumper has to be my favourite because he was the first version I was introduced to.
This video needs an update now that Transformers Rise of the Beasts is coming out later this year.
The Terrorcons had a certain coolness factor to them. I have a complete G1 set and 2 Power Of The Primes figures -- Rippersnapper and Hun-Gurrr.
RJC 72 I never can find #Cutthroat or #LandShark (what his name should of been). *How long have these been out?* I initially was thinking about buying The PREDAKING Box-set untill I scene Hungrrr (Super Suprised they were FINALLY Doing Abominus).

Also, Hun-Grrr is one of the G1 figures that's aged the best imo.
I wrote a fanfiction about 5 Autobot OC's that I made up, 1 of them being an inspiration of a custom CW figure I did, that could combine into a gestalt. In the fanfic I did two chapters only focusing on the Decepticons, mainly Megatron. He and four others: Barricade, Starscream, Soundwave and Full-Tilt (Trypticon car toy if anyone remembers him) traveled to the planet Animatros that was the home of the Maximal and Predacon Transformers since they are animal based. And I sort of did a kind of backstory of the Terrorcons were once Predacons and not Decepticons. Here they protected an ancient temple and battled Megatron to which he defeated them and swore their allegiance to him. And in the progress Megatron changed their Predacon insignias to Decepticon insignias by putting purple glowing orbs that were emitting from his hands (much like how Megatron tried to with Inferno in the Energon cartoon). Then they would serve him loyally and they fought off other Maximals and Predacons when Megatron and his three lackeys (Full-Tilt guarded the ship) were in the temple and then Scourge (Cybertron Scourge) appeared but was shocked to see that his own Predacon followers had turned on him and his people (here in the fanfic I sort of made him the leader of the Predacons and the Maximals....sounds stupid, I know, but he was the leader in the Cybertron cartoon of the Jungle Planet and its civilisation) and just wiped the floor of Scourge's bodyguards Undermine, Brimstone and Wreckloose (he did not appear in the show but I gave him the chance of serving him as one of his bodyguards) while Megatron wiped the floor of Scourge.
I know it sounds stupid with them being Predacons from the beginning before becoming Decepticons but I just let my stupid imagination take over lmfao

I remember having the transformers prime versions of the terrorists and they were some of my favorite figures, and I think they're very underrated. Maybe one day we can see a properly remade version of the team, kind of like with what they did with menasor in the legacy toyline
In 2023's rise of the beasts, the terrorcons made their debut in live action but with a different roster consisting of scourge, battletrap, and nightbird. The 3 of them together were very vicious, merciless, and formidable adversaries by movie standards.
They will be shinning in the big screen soon. :)
i am glad that the Power of the Primes toy line brought back the Terrorcons since i wanted them for my collection by did not want to hunt down the original one so i got the newer versions instead. I love how the power of the primes hun-gurr can hold the terrorcon enigma in beast mode vs how grimlock can not from the same toy line.

the original terrorcons are great and it's sad that no one cares about them but tbh I want to see more of the prime terrorcons, a franchise can never have enough robot zombies if you ask me

Just going off the cartoon, I kinda read the G1 Terrorcons as bounty hunters. No real allegiance, just kind of minions for the antagonists that get paid by the hour.

I was never a fan of the Original G1 Terrorcons, I rathered Computron by far. I found the Energon terrocons concept pretty interesting.

Think of The Basics as an ongoing series! There'll undoubtedly be some greater coverage of the Unicron Trilogy in the future - as it stands, I'll have a WEE bit of UT content in November as part of another vid, like this one. The Prime Terrorcons/Predacons were featured in the japanese-only the Transformers Prime sequel, called Transfrmers Go
Those guys were different colours and different characters, though. They'll get their due in the inevitable "Basics on Predacons" episode!

I had Hun-Grrr at one point. I was impressed by how he was used in the G1 cartoon!

I owned Cutthroat and Sinner Twin both pretty great loved the colour schemes for the Terrorcons would love some good modern remodels
I think the og terrorcons could be a creation of shockwave while he is experementing with dark energon and spare parts basically making them a Cybertronian Frankenstein jr if you don't know Frankenstein was the name of the professor so the monster should be called Frankenstein jr

The aligned continuity Terrorcons both Resident Evil style and reanimated are horrificly horrifying
Part of me wants to see how the G1 Terrorcons would react to the zombie Terrorcons of Prime swarming them. Have it be potentially animated and that would make for a cool “What if?”
I think a good way to tie the G1 terrorcons with the Prime zombies would be to make them re-animated predacons, like the ones seen in the Movie-length finale. They already are fantastical creatures in alternate mode, AND actual predacons in the Beast Hunters toy-line, so there wouldn't be any issue! Maybe even add some mystical power to turn them in a combiner, even.
Man the prime breakdown horror episode scared me so much it took 2 years after the show ended to watch it again

im actually developing a fan fiction for the team, in which the original Terrorcons team where created in a similar manor as the Dino bots (G1 or Fall of Cybertron versions) however the main difference is that the alternate forms where taken from the Apex Predators of multiple different planets

No, American episode. In Japan THUNDERTRON had a less sturdy design on headmasters saga. Correct but without hype.
