    Fly streamer beads (chain links) look like water drops cascading from a waterfall. 👍

      I’ve never had one, but I’m considering it.
      My dog likes to sit outside with the kitchen door open. ( Just in case she misses any scraps of food on the go !)
      But when the dog and cat go out, the flies come in

    Beautiful Bath! A college friend and I moved from Yorkshire to work in Bath when we were twenty one. After the fairly flat East Riding, Somerset was a dream. To me it is the most beautiful city in the UK, surrounded by picturesque villages. I worked at St Martin`s Hospital on Combe Down. In the summer I walked back to the Bear Flat where we lived. Amazing views and a very happy time there. .

      Thank you. I was born and grew up in Bristol but from an early age I used to catch the bus to Bath and just wander around, it is so amazing. Still my favourite city.

    Ah lovely Bath. My allotment is there. I live 5 miles out from the city. If you want someone to drive you about next time, gimme a shout! Always a cuppa tea available for you in my shed Sean ☕️ and would love to show you around our allotments.

      Lovely seeing Bath, I know what you mean about the slippy paving, in Cheltenham there is slick York stone all over the promenade, it is lethal in wet conditions. Your shed is becoming v homey and i am thinking your greenhouse will be epic!

    Chain curtain will give you some privacy when you have the shed door open, if you need it. Thanks for taking us to Bath what beautiful buildings they have there. The cats would be glad to welcome you home again. Shed looking good and yourself if I may say so.

    The rooftop swimming pool in Bath is amazing. When my daughter lived in Chippenham we would get the train to Bath Spa ,meet her in the station and go swimming for a couple of hours. Plenty of time for a meal and shopping. Then train back to Cardiff.

    Really love your shed, its coming along very nicely. I've just finished building a summerhouse in the garden which my neighbours cat has decided to move into ! Been asleep in here with me all afternoon 😅. I absolutely loved the little film you did with the song about moving to Wales. I showed it to some of the residents and staff in the nursing home where I work and they loved it too. Many of them are from the Rhondda. ❤

    My husband said if you need a second pair of hands and you don't happen to have them, buy yourself a couple of G-clamps. That should help you out alot. Maybe a few different sizes. Can be used at home and at the homestead. 😊

    I used to regularly visit Bath during the 80s= 90s with mum and Nana. We visited the American Quilt Museum one Summer and had tea on the terrace with a fab view.
    The icing on the cake, they were selling Victorian flower posies. I bought 2 for my mum and Nana...it was a great day out.

    Bath Spa is a very pretty town. I love the architecture. Public transport in Britain is so good. Here in Canada we only have one train line, and it is sky high price wise. We also have no busses between towns anymore, so every trip has to be done by car, or plane.

    This blue fleece with a collar looks stunning on you! Great color and look! It's a shame there's not a level spot by the river below the shed, for the bench. It would look beautiful there.

    @janetbrowning9089 Місяць тому +1

    Yes, I agree with another commenter...it looks like water drops...perfect for a garden shed, I think!! I'd find a temporary way to hang it up there & see if you like it, then if you ever change your mind, it won't be much to take it down & move it. The only thing I can see as deterrent would be that it may get in your way, when you are taking things in & out of the shed...but it looks very nice, I think, too! I love that arch with all the baskets & flowers...beautiful!! Thank for sharing, Sean...Blessing my friend😊

    Good morning Sean, I got worried when I saw the title of the thumbnail "slipping in Bath" I thought you had hurt yourself! I even said "oh no!" out loud! Chains are quite tactile Sean, they will make a lovely noise in the breeze while you have a snooze 😂 Typical,on a day out you had to take the rain clouds with you 😉 The park or wherever it was that you went was very well maintained and pretty.You looked so tired when you were doing your closing title, I hope you slept well.Take care Sean 💜

    I had much the same issue with slipping. It's the soles on the shoes. Mine were nursing shoes which have good support but are like skis on wet surfaces. The soles are made to withstand constant use, but definitely not for wet surfaces.

    Another interesting video. Loved seeing Bath. The architecture is amazing. So much history compared to our buildings here in Canada. Beautiful town even in the rain. I bet the cats were excited to have you back home. A long day of traveling but what a sleek looking train. Hope your back is ok after all that slipping. Take care and have a great rest of the week.

    I so envy you that rain. Here in Virginia,in the USA, we are in a drought. We just had about 2 inches of rain and the leaves have stopped drying up and falling off the trees, just like the fall, but we’re in July.

    I love the new chain blind for the shed door Sean. I think on a sunny day with a breeze the sound of those and the river will be very therapeutic.

    Lovely place bath 😀.
    An interesting use of succulents in the flower borders, I remeber in the 80s when all the big parks where planted up with flowers like that , even the bigger traffic islands .
    I'm glad you are making progress down the homestead Sean.
    My sliders I have for going out to the outhouse or up the garden are lethal , I can see why you can back straight away.

    Lovely to see Bath. I really enjoyed your train journey footage - I thought the music you used was fantastic too! I loved the overhanging arches they looked so pretty and the gardens! Shame about the weather I think it was following you! Hope you are okay after slipping! I suffer with periodic lower back problems so know what it's like when you slip and jault your back! Thank you for going to the trouble of filming your journey. Take care, until next time. 🙂

    Sean, Someone a few weeks ago, suggested using chalk board paint that has magnetic qualities. You could just paint the wall/s in the colour you like and not worry about buying task specific boards for the magnets. you could put them any where! 😀 Then you could just put that money into a hangar bar for your tools. Having your homestead garden is a very different prospect to your old allotments.

  • @RandomGreymane
    @RandomGreymane Місяць тому +8

    Ahh yes! The old manual stapler! Having run tons of wires in my youth I remember my hands aching after getting done. When I had money to invest in tools I bought a cordless electric stapler.
    As for the flooring squares you have, I have to get something similar so I can make a space outdoors for things like my motorcycles among other things. Still getting overrun with bindweed currently.
    My purple sweet potato plant seems to be doing well enough but I still have bird netting over everything in the hopes of deterring a very annoying gray squirrel that is digging in my beds.
    I sprayed peppermint oil all around but it has rained heavily so I doubt any is left.
    So far though nothing is wilting. :-)
