I would give the story a 10/10... the movie establishes the rules a genie must follow, and how the rules are used to structure the climax is some of the best writing in any Disney movie i've seen.
"Aladdin" ranks as very high on my Top 10 Disney Animated Films list, as it has been a huge source of laughter and joy with its hilarious and well fleshed out characters, awesome songs, beautiful animation, and grand story. Great job on this review, man. As for the next review, something tells me "Toy Story 2" is next because I remember hearing once that the movie was the best reviewed animated film on Rotten Tomatoes. I don't remember when I heard that news, but it's something I remember hearing. That, and the music at the end reminded me of "You've Got a Friend in Me."
I’m an Arab and this is one of my favorite movies ever! The background characters don’t really bother me but i’m glad they replaced “They cut of your ears if they don’t like your face” to “Where it's flat and immense and the heat is intense”
@@joeyvancleve4552 Just because it looks beautiful, doesn't make it a good movie. It needs to at least have a good story to go with background. That and the people who are working on the remake need to understand why the characters of the original movie are so memorable.
Luigi Marinus Vlogs - Listen to the song he played in the background. It’s Toy Story 2’s version of You’ve Got a Friend in Me. The version Wheezy sings at the end.
@Luigi Marinus Vlogs, but you right, the reason is my whole childhood of Pixar was basically "Toy Story 2" until 2010 when I was 7 years old. And from than Toy Story 3 is my favorite Pixar film.
This movie, along with the Aladdin trilogy will always have a special place in my heart. This due to me being born roughly 2 month before Aladdin was released in theaters, and Aladdin and the King of Thieves was released to Direct to VHS on my birthday. Plus, it introduced to one of my favorite Disney villains Jafar, and one of my favorite late actors. RIP Robin Williams.

Yeah, you're right Animat. You've now reviewed over half of the Disney Renaissance ("Rescuers Down Under," "Aladdin," "Pocahontas," "Hunchback," "Hercules," and "Mulan")! All that's left are the ones with mermaids, beasts and beauties, lions, and ape men. As for "Aladdin" itself... what else is there to say? It's an awesome film with everything you could wish for (pun fully intended). I assume the next film is "Toy Story (2)"?
Also, John Musker and Ron Clements got advice from African Americans for Tiana. Originally, Tiana's name was Mamie and she was a chamber maid. African Americans thought it was racist, so the directors changed Tiana as a character to prevent controversy. Also, they had some advice from Polynesians for Moana. Originally, Maui was supposed to be bald, but Polynesians convinced the directors to give Maui long hair. According to Polynesian mythology, Maui has long hair. Also, originally Moana was supposed to destroy and throw coconuts, but then the directors made her throw sticks instead. Polynesians thinks it's wrong to destroy and throw coconuts because it's very important for their culture. They used coconuts for many things.
One of my all time favorite films and my favorite animated Disney movie. From the colorful, fast paced, and nostalgic charming animation and art style, the love and chemistry between Aladdin and Jasmine, beautiful music, timeless songs that are easy to sing to, awesome comedy and action, and Robin Williams of course stole the show as the Genie and did a great job. 5 Magic Lamps out of 5.

But, because of how much I enjoyed the film from time to time, with its ability to entertain thousands of people around the world and the dedication of the team behind the making of this film, “Aladdin” is still in my #2 spot for favorite animated Disney films.
my review Story: 9/10 Animation: 10/10 Characters: 9/10 Songs: 10/10 Overall: 9/10 My first classic review and it already gets the JT TV Seal Of Awesomeness.
Aladdin is a instant classic from 1992 and it's still hold up after 27 years, it's has memorable songs, loveable characters, great hand drawn animation and many more, Aladdin just simply a great Disney movie and one of my favs.
Fun facts: -In the early version of the film, Aladdin had a mother, who doesn't approve her son's stealing and carefree personality. Once Aladdin understands his mom's feelings, he promises to improve himself in an attempt to make her proud. The deleted song "Proud of your boy" openly expresses his goal. -Jasmine also had a different personality. Originally, she was going to be the stereotypical rude and spoiled rich girl, but she was changed to the princess who wants to experience life beyond the palace and marry a man who is able to treat her like a human being. -The peddler we see in the opening sequence was voiced by Robin Williams, too. In the original cut, he was going to appear at the end of the movie, singing a reprise of the song "Arabian Nights", and revealing himself to be the Genie.
I don't know if this is true or not but apparently Chuck Jones of WB Animation called this film one of the funniest movies ever made. Now that's gotta be such an honour
Aladdin is one of those feel good Disney movies with the Genie portrayed by the late great Robin Williams may he rest in peace it's One of those Disney animated movie where I can re-watch again and again and it feels timeless
Great video as always, Mat! Even though it’s not up to the level of Beauty and the Beast, I still think Aladdin is a really fun movie! In terms of the acting being over-the-top at times, given that this was Disney’s first attempt at an aggressively cartoony animated film since Alice in Wonderland, I think it fits fine here.

I am glad you did Aladdin, it's the first movie I saw in cinema and still one of my favorites. I am just surprised you didit now, and not closer to the realease of the remake. Guess you will do The Lion King pretty soon too. But Dumbo hits theaters in a few weeks as well.
One of the best Disney movies I've ever seen along with Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Fox and the Hound, Brother Bear, Tarzan, Goofy Movie, and Lilo and Stitch!!! The music, Robin Williams, the villain, and the animation are amazing!!!
Another of my favorite characters is actually the Sultan. He's such a naive manchild but cares about his own daughter and wants what's best for her, even allowing Aladdin and Jasmine to marry despite not being a prince.
I have a list of movies to review for you. The chipmunk adventure, curious george, street fighter 2 the anime movie, beavis and butthead do America, the Rugrats movie and more.
I would give the story a 10/10... the movie establishes the rules a genie must follow, and how the rules are used to structure the climax is some of the best writing in any Disney movie i've seen.
Rest in Peace Robin Williams

Basically 90% of all disney movies look great to this day.

Animation was at its worst in the 60s and 70s, because that's where a good number of companies got cheap and started making badly animated cartoons.
I love the blend of CGI and Animation. It was crazy to see. Looks phenomenal.

We will never have a friend like Genie again. And if anybody says Will Smith, I will point and laugh in their general direction.

God, being rebooted with a bad CG Will Smith can give you such a crick in the neck!
Nice reference there. Haha!
Bad CGI, but good performance by Will Smith

Quick question, where can I find it? I can't find it anywhere.
@@madmanvarietyshow9605 WatchCartoonOnline
And I was watching return of jafar
Aladdin is a instant classic from 1992 and it's still hold up after 27 years, it's has memorable songs, loveable characters, great hand drawn animation and many more, Aladdin just simply a great Disney movie and one of my favs.
This film really shines in DVD and even more so in Bluray, too bad a real 4K transfer will never be. The VHS and laserdisc just doesnt do justice
12:45-12:48 - "Lamp oil, rope, bo-" Oh wait..
Toy story 2 is next and I loved watching Aladdin when I was little
Jafar is One of the Best Disney Villains
He certainly is.
Hercules is another controversial Disney film from Jon Musker and Ron Clements. The Greeks don't like how Disney changed the Greek mythology story.
Are you going to see the live-action, Disney remake of “Aladdin?” Will Smith is playing the Genie!
Yes! Toy story 2 is next!! I can’t wait!!
my all time favorite disney film, i have a great memories of this film. I used to watch this a lot on vhs, when i was a kid
I do wonder what the remake will be? Besides the Will Smith Genie.
2 years left until the 30th anniversary!!! How exciting!!!
A Toy Story review is next. 1 or 2? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Toy Story 2
"KEEEELSEY GRAAAAMER!"
- Homsar from Homestar Runner
We all know the reason why he reviewed this movie thank you animat thank you also rip Robin Williams we truly never had a friend like you
This movie deserves the animat seal of approval.
Fun facts:
-In the early version of the film, Aladdin had a mother, who doesn't approve her son's stealing and carefree personality.
Jafar is the one evil sinister Disney villain that we love to hate.
If you hear the music in the background after Mat leaves, that should give you a hint regarding what the next classics review will be.
This is my number #2 favorite animated movie of 1990s part 1
Classic ice age the meltdown
In 2022, it will be the 30th Anniversary of Aladdin.
Right now time once the reboot hits the big time, at least we still got the original to watch or at least the tv series to watch over!
To infinity and beyond
The boy is crazy he's one tough nut one to many hits with a snake
RIP Robin Williams. Died on August 11. My birthday.
This is without any doubt the best Disney classic I've seen
Andy's coming!
This April
Aladdin is honestly my favorite Disney movie of all time. Always manages to make me smile and feel happy again.
1:22 I thought the so called "street rats" are the good guys. So I guess it's a compliment either way 😂😂.
I respect the Disney character of Aladdin like a brother.

I'd LOVED Aladdin it's One of my Favorite Disney Animated Movies LOVED It for it's characters animation and great songs
Matt's review of this animation masterpiece is the only good thing that came from the remake of Aladdin.
Aladdin is one of My All Time Favorite Disney Animated Movies and defiantly One of the Funniest Disney Animated Movies
Literally my favorite movie of all time! 💙🧞♂️
ITS TOY STORY 2 LETS GO!!!! Probbably gonna get a 9/10 or a 10/10
@Luigi Marinus Vlogs No he won't cause the animation in Toy Story 2 and 1 hasn't aged well.
@Luigi Marinus Vlogs even probably the 4th toy story
10/10
15:19 / 15:51 There's one thing AniMat suggests that was it meant in between of what he said, about Arabian Nights.
Aladdin was a blast.
One of the best movies in the Disney Renaissance.
This movie came out when I was five. I loved it and still do to this day. R.I.P Robin Williams.
This is my # 1 Disney movie!
So, Toy Story 2 is the next classic review? Awesome! I can't wait!
DUDE TOY STORY 2!
Again.
flawless movie 👌🏆
Animated Jafar puts to shame his live action counterpart.
Another of my favorite characters is actually the Sultan. He's such a naive manchild but cares about his own daughter and wants what's best for her, even allowing Aladdin and Jasmine to marry despite not being a prince.
Aladdin is my number 2 or 3 favorite Disney Animation Studios film
I have a list of movies to review for you. The chipmunk adventure, curious george, street fighter 2 the anime movie, beavis and butthead do America, the Rugrats movie and more.
I haven't seen in a long time 😊
TOY STORY 2 IS NEXT!
Good review.this is probably my favorite Disney movie of all time.
Just curious is anyone excited for the live action remake of this movie. I know I'm not
Not at all. Nothing I've seen gives me any indication it will be even meh. Meh would be too generously high to rank it.
Why can’t you release an Animat’s Classic Review in the middle of the mount instead of releasing one early in this mount.
Aladdin is one of the greatest Disney movies during the Disney Renaissance Era.
