My Shaman was delivered earlier this week and I was so much more delighted with it than I was when I took delivery of my PM2 (which I've since gifted to my son). The Shaman has knocked the PM2 off it's ludicrously over-hyped perch. Mine is the basic model but, like others have said, the opportunity for 'specials' and 'sprint-runs' will be overwhelming. Selling my car now to finance it...........
paul greenwood I somewhat agree. Between this and the Para 3 (once I changed the pocket clip) my PM2 and even my beloved Manix 2 Lightweight don’t get as much use.
I’m a traditionalist. I always carry a Native I, although I’m very tempted by the G-10 Native 5. I’ll throw my money at Spyderco the second they release the Lil Native and the Shaman in a back lock! Just found your channel, love it, and sub’d.
Alex Kunze Thanks for watching! I also have a review of the newish Manix 2 Back Lock and a comparison between it and this Shaman. May be of interest. I really like the Manix 2 Back Lock
Man i need to get one. I'm waiting on a New Spyderco to come in I'm so excited as soon as i get it I'm going to do an in boxing! Next up the Shaman! Great review.
I had been waiting for the Shaman for months. It was actually the only Spyderco that I was really waiting for in the 2nd 1/2 of 2017. When I got the knife I was not disappointed. It was everything I had hoped it would be and more. I have come to the conclusion that the Shaman stands alone. It has been compared to at 5 other knives and has come out on top more often than not. The only improvement that could be made is to have the Taichung factory make the knife. I believe that it stands alone in the Spyderco lineup. I am hoping that they come out with a M390 model soon and hopefully it will not be from Bento Box. I can't stand those guys. Enjoy the Shaman and don't sell it until they come out with better steels.
Thanks a lot Buddy, for this review. You knew that I've been trying to make excuses, to not buy this knife, didn't you? You're not helping any : - ) It really is a great looking knife, that seems like it could just meld into ones hand. I don't have a Compression Lock either, and really should have one. The Sprint runs of course will be exciting! But, setting the steel aside for a moment, for the upcoming Sprint runs. If they offer say, another Burple? I think I might scream. Those non-natural colors, just don't do it for me.
Your financial responsibility or lack there of, ain't my problem, mate! ;) It really is a fantastic knife. Maybe my favorite Spyderco yet and that's saying something.
Loved the review. I have both the plain edge and serrated. I’m buying the blacked out plain edge when available and probably some sprints when they hit. I’m also a big m2 fan but the Shaman is a perfect fit for me. Keep up the good work. I’m subbed.
Gosh I wish this knife was still 150....
Love the videos always dude. LOVE the Shaman! Waiting on mine to come in. Very stoked. Rock on!

this is a knife I'm drooling over rightnow. That handle looks so nice to hold and love the blade shape. Spyderco is just a beast of a company brother.
Edge Elite It is pretty damned awesome. If I wasn’t reviewing knives, I can’t think of a reason why I’d carry much else.

This video is why I'm getting a cruwear micarta shaman, hopefully in 2019.
Just got one on the secondary market. Cost me a bundle. Paid that for a Slysz Bowie too. Grail knives.
Seems like we both have a similar problem, lol owning so many spydies that ya cannot decide which to carry!

Love the Shaman, got it as an early X-mas gift.
Brian Geiger Congrats! Someone must really love you!
I would hope so, we've been together for nineteen years. Merry X-mas.
Really hope they come out with sprint runs for the Shaman!
The shaman is now priced at $210 in 2021 😭

Thanks! The blacked out version looks MEAN but I'll probably hold out until a sprint run. I have to show SOME restrain!
I'm hopefully waiting for Sprint runs on this one. Will you be doing a wallet review?
Don't care for either the Manix2 or the PM2, love the Native 5 lightweight and lust for the Shaman.
Man. I want one. I already bought three knives in past few weeks. All spyderco. 😂. Wth
Would you trust using the finger choil for hard use?
DAVIDE TREVISANI I have been. So yes, I guess.
lol can't be harmed by conventional weapons
If I can get the money together before they sell out I will be carrying the carbon fiber Shaman in my pocket on my wedding day
Where did u get that cutting board???
JoAnn Fabrics, I think.
Slicey Dicey really? They got knife cutting board? I've looked everywhere. Was it expensive??
It’s actually for general crafts. It was like $20 I think.
How about some vape reviews? Hareware and eliquids.
What wallet is that
www.nomatic.com/pages/wallet It's pretty great.
