The director of this movie Joshua John Miller is the son of Jason Miller who played Father Karras in the original The Exorcist.
I found that out right after. So bummed I didn’t get to talk about it here

When I saw the trailer I thought for a min it was a sequel to popes exorcist .
I think we all did
I loved Final Girls a lot and the set up for the movie is really interesting imo. Unfortunately, the resolution just dropped the ball. This movie woukd have been a lot better had the writer director just made a straight up child/parent movie about his relationship with his Father (who played Father Karras in real life). I understand why Miller made this movie but it is just so unfocused that it falls apart.
I am going to still watch it because it is a horror movie lol but I am sure I will be disappointed as usual with all these exorcism movies
