I started an LLC in April of this year. I went to pay online like your video described. After I entered my entity ID, it said "the entity type and entity ID does not math our records. Please verify this info and try again." Do you have to set up an FTB account as well before trying to pay online?
I can't believe we have to pay that much if our business hasn't made any money! And that they don't ever send a bill or reminder; how's anyone supposed to even know this is required?? CA is awful. I've dissolved my LLC, but I'm afraid I still owe this money. Is there somewhere we can look up what we owe?
You can call the California Franchise tax board, however they often take a few years to audit unpaid account and may tell you you are fine, only to receive a bill later on when they have caught up on their overdue accounts
In my case I paid my annual LLC franchise fee of $800 online directly at their site using credit card but I don't remember filling up a form 568 or a tax voucher 3522, would that be enough?
Hi Ginny, i haven't paid any of the 800 dollar taxes since starting my LLC in 2020. At least I don't recall doing so. How on earth can I see what I owe? apparently according to the SOS my LLC is in good standing. I am really confused.
The do not have a billing system that alerts you. You are just obligated to pay it either by check or though we pay. If not paid, they accrue fines and monthly interest and usually they send you a notice 1-3 years after it was due once they realize you are delinquent. I missed one payment and received a notice over a year after delinquency and it had an additional $300 in fines. Pay online using webpay asap for the years you know you owe.

That is register d with your county clerk recorders office. Visit calgold.ca.gov to find the exact office and link for your county
