  • William Stoehr's award-winning art is exhibited internationally at universities, art centers, museums and galleries. Before becoming a full-time artist, Stoehr was President of National Geographic Maps where he was responsible for National Geographic's worldwide mapping operations, and previously held positions of Director and Senior Vice president at the National Geographic Society. On September 13, 2023, he delivered the second 2023 Cabot Executive in Residence Lecture, "Lessons from Alice in Wonderland - Risk, Reward and an Uncertain Future."

    You are not the only Stout Grad that things did this kind of work I did it here in Illinois.

    I have a place in the BVI, no big deal. A lot of Stout people have multiple homes. I did the same thing I went into teaching. I got my PHD from Northwestern.
