Justin, man. I LOVE twangy, swampy, surfy, spaghetti western sounding stuff full of ominous sounds and odd instruments. This is just what the doctor ordered. Color me INSPIRED!
This guy! Thus guy has got IT! I'm used to hearing words sung in music, but this guy, has made me change my tune. From the first moment I heard him on his shovel guitar doin Ace of Bass, I was forever hook. His Turquoise Trail collection is the best yet. Love the Western theme. From ballad to gangster blues, I Love everything this incerdably talented man has to offer! No words required!!😆💕💕💕
I'm going to introduce this song to some exotic dancers. This song is classy, sexy, and full of attitude, perfect for their stage. And it'll get Justin a little more "exposure".
Absolutely love this track, from the creepy driving Whamola bass to the wailing roots solo, every second of this song fills the air with emotion and soul, Spectacular!
Amazing playing by all combined with awesome instruments and filming location....what's more to ask from any video? Justin Johnson you set the bar really high! You are a truly incredible musician!
Great song love the sound of all your songs love the rockabilly bluesy sound a lot of your songs have my favorite sounding guitar is a steel guitar but it's neat you make guitars out of the darndest things!!
J.j.you are the guru of the Blues with lots of soul man. I am a huge fan of yours. Your music is so gratifying. I think you have heaps of passion in your guitar playing.t,P. From Tony down under.👍👍😎😎
Imagine if you will... a girl stepping out of quarantine onto her porch, it dusk dark... sun is setting behind the mountain in front of her house...she walks slowly to her car and starts driving down a deserted looking small southern town ... empty streets, she doesn’t even have to stop at red lights, in her mind she can see the past month playing in the background of her vision as the memory of it flashes of people driving and walking a dog is barking along the fence line and children are on the swings in the park, they fade into ghosts and disappear, quickly into nothing like smoke vanishing in wind, as she passes, pulling into the parking lot of the police station, she gets out and looks across the street at the old run down diner all the old men sat at and talked... now empty and quiet, before she turns to go inside for another long shift... she sees a man in an old pair of overalls and a straw cowboy hat... squints ... recognizing her grandfather as he stares at her he points to the building and tips his hat as he too fades away like smoke in the wind... she closes her eyes , the burn of tears fading as lifts her shoulders and walks in, the door bangs loud and locks closed behind her ... (It the song I’ll be playing in the background on my way to work everyday ... you gave me the music... I gave you the story ) thank you Ps there is a train whistle in the background here (the sound echos off these Tennessee hills) and I swear I could hear that sound right at the end of this hiding in the background too
I somehow missed (deleted) the download email but I went and found it after listening to this post. Thanks for all your hard work and sharing your talents with me.
Just listened to Stanley Clarke bass solo #1 live here on UA-cam right next to Justin Johnson, and guess what? There's plenty of similarities - at least to my ear and to my chill factor! Greatness reigns!
Justin, I am so thrilled to be able to hear when you change the guitar setup as you are playing to get different effects. It makes it not only a wonderful composition but an amazing performance.
