I'm with ya on that issue bruv. I'm a retired drummer and due to age (I'm 63) and age related muscle and joint pain then I have to medicate and stimulate myself to get through a rigorous drumming session, so, it's ibuprofen with codeine, caffeine, ginseng and Red Bull for me. 😂

I'm an "essential worker" that has been pushing 65-70 hours a week for the last few years. I recently discovered this channel. This music now always plays in the background and heals my weary spirit in ways I could never have comprehended. Justin is a true blues man and a gifted teacher. I learned my first blues lick in minutes off his instructional material last night. Others have said it. I'll repeat it. Justin is saving lives with this gift of his. Much love!❤

My love for blues came from my grandpa. When I was little my grandpa would play various songs on his record player and he sit there in a trance. I looked at him curiously asking him “ grandpa why you look so sad and happy at peace at the same time” he told me “ Buy when you get older you’ll find out that life as a man gives you the blues, Wether it be a breakup or stressful day at work. Listening to the blues gives a man solace and peace, cause it’s the only joy a man can have with the time he has” here I am 35+ years later, I finally understand what he’s talking about thank you grandpa you’re the best, R.I.P Grandpa

I think back to an old friend Terry Garland who played the blues his whole life and lived to play. It was in his blood and I can tell it’s in yours. Keep playing like that man, the world needs it.

As a photographer and a musician, whoever chooses your location and sets up your lighting needs to be commended. Both of those really helps take your playing to another level. That's a fact....this man is a godsend too mature guitar players serious enough about the gitfiddle to wanna absorb that amazing blues fingerstyle. And every other form and style. Were lucky he don't hide a thing. Throws it all right atcha n says here it is. Do your worst with it... or your best.. that's on you ..but here it is....this man ain't playing around for a guy who is actually playing ...lol... If you catch my drift....smoking clean n brutal... Yes and badass is also keeping the bass line going with his right thumb while he reaches around with his left hand and takes a swig.

I’ve had a long standing “porch blues beer” night with my roommates where we listen to blues every Sunday, drink beer, and of course listen to blues. Played this tonight and our downstairs neighbor not only came out to join but also lit a cigarette and had a drink with us. Nailed it, brother!
I put this on for background ambience while getting some work done, but during “Slow Blues in the Mississippi Delta” I kept looking up and saying ‘god damn!’ or whistling. And every time Justin was just kicked back, stoically playing the absolute hell out of that cigar box. Killer stuff. I’m hooked.

A great sound and visual experience through various US landscapes, there could be Justin listening to people ideas about life or anything they like, music of course, see some tradition crafting on wood, steel, leather.. classic mechanic, small farming, houses builders, maybe new pioneers. Voices, faces, instruments, tools, nature, materials, working hands...

That guitar used with the rattle snake tail was actually a 9 string guitar. The one after it with the cicadas in the background was a 6 string though. 🤯

Soul-soothing elixir. Mellow, somber, and intense--but from a distance. I'm involved, but as an observer, not a participant. It's like watching a bad guy getting beaten into the ground...without having to do it myself. Just as satisfying, but much less strenuous, if you see what I mean. :)

That guitar is a 9 string guitar also, like a 12 with no double strings on the bass side. I have never seen one. Awesome !
