this is all based on opinon, i could be totally wrong about what the song means, but if you dont get why he destroys the piano, listen to the song without assuming its between a couple, from one partner to another... instead listen to it as a person whos in love with something, a passion to give everything and anything they can to keep on practicing and enjoying what they love, so much so that they want to share what that something is with the world, and in turn, expects that passionate something to give the people it reaches the same sense of happiness.. and when it doesnt, most people are diminished, and some give up... but even when "your down and out" giving up wont really change anything for you, so just keep on doing what you love and eventually people will love it too i feel like, for Otto Knows, its obviously music, he gives everything he can to his music, and just wants music and the industry to give back, which at times, could be frustrating if the industry and fan-base is focused on a type of music he doesnt have the passion or love to create..
thus leading to the destruction of the piano ~ hes walking away due to frustration of the main stream music-fan-base. AGAIN all based on non factual opinions
