Dave Kindig has become one of the top car builders in the USA he is up there with the Best! I have watched his TV show and at the beginning I thought he may be a cowboy like all the other TV car guys BUT I WAS WRONG! His work is second to none nice work Dave and thanks Dennis!
Kodos to Dave for having the for site to see that a 4 door post can rock! I own a '59 Belair that is in showroom condition and is always overlooked because it's a 4 door post!
Love em both, but they have very different styles. Chip likes the more radical look. Dave’s customs are usually a lot lighter on the body mods. Both dudes rock!
Mad respect for Dave & his team - always great work. My 1st car at 18 was a '64 Coupe DeVille... parked it due to slight knocking. Still own it 24yrs later, but it just sits in my yard & I can't bring myself to put it on the market. Solid desert car & 99% complete, so I keep telling myself I'll build it someday...
LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT 1960 BELAIR 4 DOOR, IF CHEVY HAD FIGURED OUT THAT MULTI COLOR PAINT SCHEME AS WELL AS THAT COLOR MATCHING OF THE UPHOLSTERY WITH THE EXTERIOR COLORS BACK IN THE DAY THEY WOULD HAVE SOLD MORE CARS. WELL DONE SIR!
"Pump it twice" - I'm glad they put that in. All these classic cars fire right up, as if they were all modern fuel injected cars, that I just assume they don't need anything extra.
Love the Caddie of course. But the 60 Chevy is sweet too. Back in my high school days I had a friend who had a 4 door Cutlass. Pretty sure it was a 67. But don't quote me on that. And it was a beauty. A little bit of rear lift nice wheels a vinyl top and plenty of power. Great car to go cruising in.
The 64 caddy vert is drop dead gorgeous. But I just dont find the 4 door Chevrolet appealing . However I can definitely appreciate the craftsmanship and talent thats displayed in its detail and finish. I have a 65 Caddy Vert that is beautiful with only 26,541 original miles. My grandpa bought it brand new in 65 and I inherited it and my grandparents 1957 MG MGA Roadster .
I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that these cars did not have seatbelts, but I’ve seen him drive cars that had them, and he didn’t buckle up. Although, neither did the owner.
I'd say these cars are both modern and classic. It would be cool if General Motors started building cars like these that have the convenience of a modern car and the style of a classic, although personally I prefer bone-stock original classics.
OK, I just gotta know..... What year(s) did he build that 1962 Chevrolet? I am thinking it would have been one of his earlier cars. And does he still have it here in 2021? Pretty cool car and builder!
Tim Mcdowell they blow fooses ugly crap right out ! Foose and his fucked up hip hop rims and stupid ugly paint jobs and corny graphics Foose ruins good cars and they dont even finish them properly for his phony show
63 and 64 Cadillacs look almost identical. My dad had a 63, and my uncle had a 64 convertible. Cadillac introduced the 429 engine in 64. Much better engine, than the 390. Of coarse, they used a BB Chevy. As far as 4 door goes, it looks cool. The Biscayne was "cheapest" model.
Simply stunning. Great classic design, subtle beautiful styling. I didn't get the story of the rims; could someone explain it to me please? Are the whitewalls part of the wheel?
Wow. I didn't know that the Bel Air had a based model that was really a Biscayne with extra trim . Ever since the 1958 horizontal multi-light system ( except 59) the Del ray and Biscayne had just 4 rear lights where the Bel Air and Impala had 6 while the Reverse white lens was an option up to 1970 but standard on the Caprice since 1965 but later was in the bumper to spot a Caprice from a Bel Air that both had 6 red lens units. I guess if you're going to add a few options to the Biscayne and get the V8 , why not get into a base Bel Air and pay extra for the V8 . Maybe this was a Canada thing because we had the Meteors and Beaumonts plus Mercurys that weren't sold elsewhere. In fact ... a really rare FORD in Canada was the 1958 Meteor version of the Ranchero that was made in Sept-October of 57 where it was a loser and dropped after just 52 were made while only 12 had the 272 V8 option . The 57 sales were weak for both rancheros at just over 800 where 300 were the Meteor version . I was good at spotting the Chevy models for the full size cars because low end had 4 lights and the Bel Air/Impala had 6. Don't remember even 1 Bel Air with 4 rear lights.
Dennis said "not the prettiest car ever built" about the Bel Air....I think they are very attractive cars, 4-door or 2-door. Also I just saw a video on the Bel Air, it's on the market now. It seems like a rushed build that isn't actually driven. There was a bad tick under the hood (maybe an exhaust leak or the aftermarket pulleys), the interior had tons of rattles and the odometer doesn't work. Good looking car though.
Dave is the real deal....thanks for doing an entire episode on those amazing cars...
He's a great guy!
Dave relationship with his workers shows how amazing and a humble person he is
He’s a great guy!
Dave is a really awesome guy and how you can tell? He loves life and is not a bragger showing off. I bow before this talent. Awesome
Dave is a genuinely great guy with incredible talent!

Dave is an absolute Jedi of the motor world, just stunning creations, love that dude.
I can Dig It.
Dave Kindig..and his guy's..just amaze me..great shop .. bringing it!

Beautiful cars!
I know that Chip Fosse is viewed by his peers as the best in field but for me it's Dave Kindig
RS shop roadster shop i think is the top shelf!
@myself to myself I'll check him out.
@@racer67 That 65 Bonne is bangin!!!!!

It's nice to see something great done with a four door.
Really liked the use of seat belts in the car
Amazing cars 🚗 👌

Two cool cars man
Two beautiful cars
I live in UT and I know Dave he is awesome
I love Dave Kindig and Salt Lake Garage: his team is unique, very competent and funny. Greetings from Italy
I’m going to remember that white wall trick.
That 60 Chevy is SWEET
Kindig is king! There's no doubt!
Those cars are soooo cool!
that Bel Air is stunning , more of the same please :)
"Pump it twice" - I'm glad they put that in. All these classic cars fire right up, as if they were all modern fuel injected cars, that I just assume they don't need anything extra.
64 Caddy is Bad Ass, but to take out the beautiful Caddy instrument panel was not a good decision, IMHO. Rings on the quarter panel are really nice.
I'll take the 4 door any day it looks so good 🏆 🇳🇿
Boyd (RIP) & Dave = super awesome!!

I had a 4-door Buick Le Sabre mild custom in the early 2000s. 59-62 Gm 4-doors are dope!
Greats cars!!! I think than Kindimg and Foose, are the best designers today, couse they do it, by himselfs from the design.
Kindig is the man!
these guys do good work, nice cars.

That Cady Sound ..
I like how Dennis drives 10-2 hand positions hes a safe driver. Good work Denny

A wise guy once said...If you're counting doors, you're not a real car guy.
I'll take the 1960 Bel Air that thing looks sweet
Beautiful cars....
In 1960,the Biscayne was beneath the Bel-Air,which was below Impala.
I have a 4 door Chevelle glad to see coming back
Yes they are beautiful! And $$$$$
Dave is just a master of Design. Wonder how much Kevdog went in to these cars.
Why Kevin anyway
Love Dave’s creations! He builds drivable cars, so WTH are the seatbelts?!
I'd say these cars are both modern and classic. It would be cool if General Motors started building cars like these that have the convenience of a modern car and the style of a classic, although personally I prefer bone-stock original classics.
Love that. Imagine!!!
I like that Cadillac.
David James West, a Christian man
Have 2 and 4 door impalas. Same year. Prefer lines and driving the 4 door. Also posts are better cars than hard tops, 2 or 4 doors. Structure, noise.
OK, I just gotta know..... What year(s) did he build that 1962 Chevrolet? I am thinking it would have been one of his earlier cars. And does he still have it here in 2021? Pretty cool car and builder!

Apparently so.
The edge of the wheel was painted white to give a whitewall look
@@pickledbabies Hard to tell, looks so real. I would love to see it in 3D

💯❤️🏆
Anyone else expecting Kevin Schiele to appear out of nowhere and tell Dave Kindig how he’s doing it wrong?
Wouldn’t it be really cool to offer President Nelson a ride in either one of these vehicles? Only those who know will understand.
please enlighten us ... the unworthy!
President Willie Nelson
that car looks like an ice skate.
Any one else notice the caddy rattle
Wait did he say 4 hush flow mufflers? Wtf
Apollo the Apple aBobber
Nice but too low ..
Four doors will NEVER be cool! Just sayin'. I like the work done though.
