I am not clear on this, is 5.70 the firmware that removes those options or is it the 5.71. I have the legends arcade gamer and the puck, I went on eBay and bought another puck, and the firmware on it is too old I guess for the Coinop X stuff, I am looking for a way to download this 5.68 firmware and use a USB drive to do the update to that firmware, but so far no luck... I just want to know if the 5.70 update will remove this feature OR is this only if you accept the optional 5.71?
I do not live in the USA. I have ordered from Atgames in USA an Atgames Legends Gamer Pro ... it need to be deliver to a third party which charge me 100 then i need to pay the custom... the gaming console cost me twice it original price, then the main board wehn crazy it connect and disconnect ... i just did enjoyed it for about a month. but even if the board is under warranty i will start the mess of sending it again and again needing third party to get the board... so i have decide to scrap the thole internal and instead ordered a keyboard encoder developer from SJ@SX which will cost me 55$ it just need a lot of love to reconnect all the switches to it and it will work with any games from my PC... so now im immune to any upgrades an im happy!
Hi - I realized 5.70 got snuck in on my ALU which I had stopped using because the controls would lock up shortly after startup, and it would fail self check if I rushed and got that going. Weirdly the system would not lock up if I had one of the bluetooth connections - say control panel one, connected to my phone. Does anyone know Is there any trick to switching from 5.70 back to 5.68?
downgrading from 5.70 won't fix it. Once, you've upgraded to 5.70, what that firmware does can't be undone even via downgrading. You're stuck until it's patched.
I bought a used LU cabinet and found out it is on v5.7. Bummer. Is it possible to run coinopsx on a separate flash drive and the games on a second flash drive? Thanks.
Wow! That bad update's been around three weeks as of this posting? I'm amazed my ALU hadn't tried to update all that time. I JUST got the BitLCD display, and installed the marquee packs for CoinopsX. Looks like I caught it in time, thanks to this vid. I've turned off wi-fi, and unplugged the ethernet cable from the back. Still have CoinopsX for now. Guess I'll be putting a PC in it, after all, later on. Just have to figure out how to convert the BitLCD to be a secondary monitor for the PC version of CoinopsX. Geez. This makes the second attack on the DIY gaming community from AtGames. And here I was, trying to give them a second chance. Wow. Thanks for the warning.
Time to buy a little AMD Nuc type machine, use the 2nd HDMI input, and map the controller via Bluetooth. This will kill any cpu board upgrades for the older machines, and if this policy holds, it's going to destroy their 4K launch. I unfortunately update to th 5.70, not happy, and probably not buying the 4K ALP I was planning on buying thanks to this.
I don't know exactly why they made this change after all this time, They really dropped the ball when this feature was the selling point in the first place..
@@MrRetroangel the worst part is taking the functionality away from everyone after just giving it to us 8 months ago, without warning, without allowing us to opt out of the firmware update. That's just a dick move that's going to leave a bad taste in us owners mouth, and yes, we bought it exactly for that feature.
@@MrRetroangel I'm back to 5.68, still debugging things, I may have shut it down before the installed games properly loaded, not that I play any of them, but that screen is stuck at loading, but my coinopsX games work again using coinopsX, used to work without having to load the coinopsX frontend using AppX or whatever it's called. But there is a way to reload 5.68.
Glad I got a Core Max with CoinOpsX Still Saucy installed and working offline last year, and I have the Gamer Pro controller to play it with and I kept Wi-Fi off since.
I just bought a new 1.2 LU cabinet. I think it’s just the base firmware and when it said update firmware I opted out because I have a coinopsx usb coming with 7800+ games I want to run via coinopsx. What’s my best option do you think to have no issues with the coinopsx
I had a few issues by not updating the base firmware, like some pinball games like Dr Suess. Controllers wouldn't work. I suggest you stay on base firmware unless you run into a compelling reason to install 5.70
My first time here and you really need to sort your audio out. Your intro I had to turn down because it was far too loud, and then the video starts and you are talking and then I had to turn up the volume as your audio is far too low. At least balance the audio in the intro so it is level to your voice.
Yeah, but it doesn't fix AppX, and you still need to log on to use Coinops X. Plus it hoses the onboard gamed. Have started playing with Legengs Unchained, it does run smoother so far, but I'm still tinkering.
@@michaelkeudel8770 This was my exact experience when trying to undo 5.70, and go back to 5.68. I just moved to CoinOpsX and everything is running just fine now.

This is not true coin-ops is still on the atgames arcade machine I updated and I still have coin-ops X what they mean is you cannot have it start up like you used to on the old firmware so this is not true
CoinOpsX goes away with 5.71. I have CoinOpsX running on startup with 5.70. If this isn't working for you, try a factory reset, then re-run the 5.70 upate. you may even want to leave the ALU on base firmware and see if that works for you.

Very discouraging, unhappy with ATGAMES... I'll have to research Unchained or replace the guts entirely.
