Never seen a powerful woman character in any drama like her....that power consists of bravery, strength, warrior mentality to save beloved one and others also, equally motherly love as well as righteousness.....

Among all characters, yi kyung had it the worst and she's my most beloved character. I wish to see her in season 3
She is alive but she is being a half monster and half human like her daughter.
Season 2 ruined her character
She's not bad, but as human mom of little monster, she doesn't know how to handle/rise monstrous child, emotionally and physically.. how to handle the little one special abilities.. and to protect her from curiosity and the bad humans kill monsters because of scare feelings..

i really felt so bad for hyun su. because of his transformation everyone has tried to kill him because they were scared but even though hyun su had control over his monster side, he still couldnt kill the monster in him. now season 2 tells us that hyun su actually can see the monster's desires and has tried to explain to people that not all monsters are bad but just because they are monsters, people try and kill them out of fear. so hyun su in the entire sweet home show was just him suffering and in the end of season 2 his monster form actually reveals that hyun su's monster side actually could take over him any moment, just that he hasnt decided to yet. season 3 could end up with hyun su turning bad or killing himself some way or another. i really feel so bad for him during this scene, he had to kill someone he trusted because they couldnt control their monster side and her daughter turned her. hyun su also ended up crying because he saw her desires and that yikyung and been suffering deep down inside. he also is trying to help yikyung's daughter after raising her but hyun su loses her trust which could end up hyun su fully transforming in season 3 and not being able to control himself. the start of season 3 would probably start with eun yu either living in the wild and adapting like the old man or going back to the stadium and getting punished. we also know the stadium might no longer be safe as the sergant is also experiencing syntoms of monsterization. season 3 could be a sad ending.

maybe she wouldn't die in 8 episodes because the actress playing Yi-Kyung will appear in season 3
Yeah, it's pretty clear Hyun-soo throws her in the tunnel albeit at a glance; any monster could have survived that fall, especially neohumans. If Hyun-soo had vaporised her, that would have been the end of her but he did not. He instead did something that opens the door of her being alive.
For everyone asking for the song name - the subtitles said it was 'The Monster' by SUSAN but there is no streaming site which has it listed as a song -
therefore, I assume that it has not yet been officially released or that it was composed for the sole purpose of that scene in the show -
please correct me if I'm wrong.
Wish we got to see more of these two together. I mean, the spent a year together, and it was kinda glossed over.

She's able run away at the end while hyun su was in agony reading her memories..
She didn't "run away", that's implies an escape but Hyun-su did it intentionally as you can see him spreading his arms right after she fell, so he threw her with the intent of killing her as the emotions he displayed were him mourning Yi-kyung. Not sure why Hyun-su thought she would die by the fall considering all neohumans have shown to be able to withstand such a feat (even Hyun-su himself), the showrunners really had some of the characters lose their IQ in the last episode to drive the plot forward. 😅

None of them is mean. She's so upset about her daughter because she doesn't know if her daughter can be good for people, but she loves her, but at the same time, she doesn't know how to raise a mounster child, remember that her daughter is only 1 year old, it's a baby in a adolescent body so the mother didn't have time to learn how to raise correctly that kind of child, otherwise the girl doesn't even understand what death means, she's confuse and think that humans are mean because they kill her mounster friends.

Yes that's why she half human half monster we can see her human eye crying and another eye blinded with monsterize, her left hand want to attack hyun soo but her right hand want to resist it and in the vision her left hand want to shoot her daughter but her right hand push the gun away. Every time hyun soo see monster vision they happy because the monster fulfill their desire and greed such as people who have a cancer become monster aggressive towards blood fight with hyun soo in baseom lab. But yi kyung unhappy because the fact her daughter is monster she cannot raise her like a normal human and cannot also kill her even though she scare her child will harm other people
hyun su can see monster's desires, and that ends up with the monsters suffering most of the time because they transformed. hyun su seeing the vision caused him to feel the monster's pain, and ends up in agony.
@@nasrulhakim103 is also right. monsters that transform are usually happy in their own dreams but even after yi kyung transformed, she still couldnt be happy because her desire was to kill monsters which makes her a 'good monster' but harms other actually 'good' monsters like hyun su.

The question that’s lingering for me is whether or not the child was born inherently evil. It was clear to me that the child was manipulating the mother since she was a baby. But was this done purely out of survival or was there a more sinister explanation
I read that she kept Ah-Yi(her daughter) locked away and possibly despised her on some level because she was part monster. This is just what I've read. I didn't even know Season 2 was out yet.

@@legacyandrews1339 here’s the thing if he truly raised her, why is it that she doesn’t hold him in a higher regard because to her he’s just like humans that was what she said. and by the next time that they met, he begged and pleaded her to go see her mother before she died, and while she was reluctant, she agreed to go, but not for the right reasons, because she begrudgingly saved her life by basically damning her to become the same monsters that her mother has been trying to protect her from. in the end, she became a monster one that does not care or hold any attachment because the moment she turned her mother into a monster she felt nothing for her.
