Fast forward a few weeks, and a FRESH coat of heavy metal flake paint, and a handful of parts - are you have one dope looking HachiRoku daily driver. In this episode, Hert gets to see this all-new paint job for the first time ever in person. And, well, it goes just about as good as you could imagine.

Challenge accepted.
- It's V8 powered with a dry sump system, you can tell by the oil pan. Google image search confirms. Based on how many V8 engines blow based on oiling issues under drift, this leads me to believe it's intended for drift.
- Based on the turbo size in comparison with the alternator, it looks to be about a medium power turbo for a V8. Should be very responsive. This adds to the theory of drift car.
- the intake charge pipe, looks to have some sort of "Y" fitting on the end. Reminds me of that e46 dan built with twin throttle bodies. That, or there are two turbos, and this is an incredibly high horsepower build.
- The length of the accessory belt looks to be very short from the cut off view of it. this suggests that there are only the essentials. Full racecar as they say.
- It looks to be a precision 39mm wastegate. In which case, guys, come on that's way too small, you're going to have boost creep for days. Even if this was twin turbo and you have two, still too small. Come on, dan!
- Based on the short motor mounts, and double heim steering setup, we can deduce that his is going in a small chassis with tight fit. This points twards JDM or EURO. Leaning twards S-Chassis or E series BMW.
- I'm seeing some high pressure fuel rails in the background, this suggests direct port fuel injection. This appears to be for a modern V8, likely EURO. Perhaps a BMW v8 of some sort.
- I don't recognize the valve covers, but I believe they're different than the old valve covers.
Based on this: my theory on the new knuckle busters is as follows: The old knuckle busters e46 is getting a newer BMW engine and they're slapping on a new turbo for good measure.
A police department somewhere needs you to solve crimes.
I hope they're twin-turbo LS for the E36 M3, going dry-sump Taylor Ray style

@@Wangan280z i was thinking that about the pan until I saw the direct port fuel injection. Maybe gen 5 ls? Also then maybe not all the parts on the table are new. Maybe that twin throttle body charge pipe was from the old, likely blown up motor. Hive mind, gents! So we're thinking LS in the e36. Yep, I like it.

I have made a discovery in this very phenomena myself. I call it, Manchismo. It's an aura or vibe that one gives off that causes others to gravitate to ones self. But also magnifies the sense of skills and expertise of those drawn to said person. Hert displays all the signs of having Manchismo. He just harnesses it to get others to work on his crap.
