Does the cellphone network from usa works in the Bahamas? Like Verizon AT&T metro pcs… ?
I honestly didn't try because I was afraid of a large bill afterwards. But the resort does have wifi so I just turned our phones to airplane mode & turned on wifi and then wifi calling & texts. If you want to explore outside of the resort, (we did) just while you're at atlantis on wifi, get on Google maps & download for offline use, and then it'll help you see things to do when you have no service or wifi.
Man, I hope the waterpark is worth it! The views in this room look very nice but that’s too bad you guys couldn’t have a hot bath or shower!!
I did a few of the waterside. Haven't gotten the videos edited yet as we've been at an RV rally the last month. The slides were fun, it was just cold cause it was end of December.
That stinks that you had so many problems with the room, but at least you had a nice view from the balcony.
The most unfortunate part was they didn't seem to care when I asked multiple days for them to give us hot water & a working toilet. I don't know that we'd return. Maybe in the fall or spring but definitely not winter. Too cold for the pools but if you try it anyways and have no hot water in room 🥶 but yes, the view was absolutely amazing!
If you don't think its worth staying here, what resort do you recommend or which one did you enjoy the most?
To be honest, spend just a tad more & go to St Thomas. It is by far our favorite Caribbean island. St marteen would be our number 2 choice. But in St Thomas, US cell service still works since it's a US territory so that's really convenient. But every time we've been, we've seen sea turtles in their own habit habit..the ocean. Just grab a couple ofnfull faced snorkels.
