- Hey y'all! Let me know what you think about this tumbler hacks tutorial. I thought it was super fun trying out hacks I found online. Some worked out for me, some did not. I use a paper plate on the pipe with football avoid paint going inside the tumbler. Make an X in the middle of the plate

This is what I was going to say. Except I used a styrofoam plate with a small circle cut out of the center that fits the pipe. I found the styrofoam plate is a little sturdier and I can use it multiple times.
The ripping vinyl, it has worked every time for me!!

I love these hacks! I’ve seen many ladies say they use Aqua Net aerosol hairspray instead of clear Rustoleum. To seal, fix and attach glitter.

I use kenra because it's a light mist and totally helps w that final ombre touch!
I've used Aqua net ...its good in a pinch but long term the hair spray can yellow under the epoxy

Love these hacks! One I use, from Everything Tumbler Tutorials by Rebecca Escott, is to spray my cup with spray paint and then use the spray paint as adhesive for glitter. I mainly use it if I'm doing the entire cup in the same glitter 😊

I'm new to this< I started when I found out my niece had Cancer so I wanted to do something special for her so I made her a tumbler and liked it so now this is something I will be doing to help her mom out with all her treatments. Thank you for all the hacks

I do the painters tape also I just make it into like a stick and light the end I get the dark but more controlled like a candle

I wouldn't recommend the smoke hack with the painters tape. It does give off a lot of smoke, but it is the adhesive that is on fire, which is gives off a ton of chemicals that are not good for you.

An easy way to not get paint inside of your tumbler is to just sit it upside down and spray it. My foam doesn’t go all the way into my cup, I wrap it in plastic to keep it clean.

Great Hacks, thank you so very much, with the smoke one, use a Tiki Torch, lots of smoke and should be done outside, that way you don't have an open flame in your work area.

I love hacks. A long time ago I tagged you on one where they’re doing a northern lights tumbler and after they put all the micas on, they swipe with alcohol.

I do the painters tape on the inside of all my cups for easy lean up but I use a styrofoam cup when i hydrodip… I don’t remember whose channel are got that from but it also works great

Thank you for sharing these! Gonna try the smoke hack and of course the spray paint! Any hacks on air bubbles? I have a tumbler I poured and it looks so good except for 1 bubble! I hate to pour it again just for that….. is there no way around this? I think it has 3 or 4 coats now…
Once bubbles are hardened and cured I’m not sure if there’s anything that can be done other than sanding it down and re epoxy. But I’ll try to find something!

In my opinion Hayes, Hiipoo, and koala are the best brands
Try using an oil lantern to give a good smoked affect. That is all I use now for that now.

Regarding the cheetah spots. Don’t rip up. Keep your hand level and rip that way. Rip down or level to the vinyl. When u rip up u take the whole design 😊

Your cups are so smooth. Do you ever get fish eyes and if so what do you do to get rid of them? I can’t figure out what causes them!
Thank you! I had issues with epoxy until I found the right brand for me. KS Resin is my favorite
The problem with the smoke effect and painters tape is that the adhesive on the tape is toxic when burnt. For a really good smoke effect use a tiki canister

How do you get the little micro bubbles out of your epoxy
A heat gun. Some people use a torch but I’m too scared 😂 a Wagner heat gun works great
When I do my smoke effect I wad a piece of painters tape on the end of a stir stick and light it on fire

Cool thanks for sharing. Yeah I'm not a big fan of cheetah design except for on my nails now and then. But to be honest if you're going to do them why not just do them free hand? There so easy they're just 'C's & Dot's everywhere. So very simple

for hack #2, your sheet is too big. it works better with small details. you pulled fast enough. try it again on a text piece that is a couple of inches. I make 4" ornaments with the "heaven" saying and do the quick pull method often
