As a vocaloid fan for many years i’ve come to learn that we should respect vocaloid as their own voices. Because in reality, even the voice providers can barely sound like their own characters consistently. I don’t know why, but the whole vocaloid to realism and realism to vocaloid is an interesting concept but it’s not the point of vocaloid at all, and frankly we can’t really go that far with it, it’s like asami shimoda donated a little bit of her essence to create the kagamine but through ruthless voice engineering, they became their own voices that only reside in the program itself, and can’t really be replicated that well. I love vocaloid... it’s such a bizarre concept! We have digital idols in real life! It’s so utopian in a sense.
