Thanks for your video and information. It's very helpful. I've had a Frigidaire humidifier for the past 6 years and it's been great. Recommended by my physician. I use to get 40 to 55 level, but now I'm getting 30 on my old humidifier. I thought it was old and not working properly. I ordered a new one and I'm also getting 30 and it shuts after a few minutes. Can you kindly advice what I need to do to ensure this is working properly... Thank you.
Hi I've got a meaco dry abc 12L dehumidifier it's just started making squeaking noises I've had it for just over 2 years can you help please.Thanks.
Hi there. I got an Arete 10lt and when I press the night mode it take a good while before to go quiet.
Why.
Also it's very noisy j don't think is good for bedroom.
Which one is the quietest
I had my DD8L Junior delivered today as my bedroom was always 75-80% humidity. It's been running for about 11 hours and the water tank is already half full and the humidity is down to 34%
The only thing I wish it would do is change the fan speed automatically for the setting you've chosen and the humidity level. If I choose max water removal, mid or low I can't decide what fan speed I should put it on for best results.
For use in an application like that I would select single fan speed (to reduce noise and electricity consumption) and the thumbs up, 50%rh humidity target. You don't need the air to be as dry as 34%rh.
@@MeacoUK thanks for the swift reply. It's been on maximum settings for 19 hours and I've already had to empty the water. Can't believe how effective it is!
Hello Chris, good work! I'm just about to buy one of your machines and I'm trying to see if any of them are smart friendly? By that I mean, when you plug it in, does it return to the last-used setting? Thank you
thank you Jon. Never, ever use a smart plug with any dehumidifier, from any manufacturer. All dehumidifiers need to shut down properly and safely when you turn them off and using a smart plug to force a power off prevents them from doing that.
@@MeacoUK Wow! The fastest answer in the west!! I hadn't thought of that, good point. Thanks Chris.
I'm having trouble finding a Meaco DD8LJ in stock...Can you say when they might be back into stock?
I chose it because of your YT videos. Dessicant is clearly better for a cold house, we're away a lot.
I'm wondering is it necessary leave the heating on low, to work alongside the dehumidifier? If so, do you recommend a temperature?
Thanks :0)
@@jonfostersmith You can buy it direct from us here - www.meaco.com/products/meaco-dd8l-junior-dehumidifier No need to put any background heat into the space. It will stop working at freezing, but the humidity will be really low at that point anyway.
You've just saved me a fortune !! Thanks. The pipes are all plastic so no risk of a burst, that would be the only reason for heat.
Just received my 10l meaco read the booklet to get started got bleep, screen blank, pressed start button quick and firm but nothing happening.
Thank you for your purchase, you must be holding the power button down for too long.
@@chrismichaelmeacouklimited4004 thanks I've sorted, it works great drawing a lot of water from the atmosphere. I bought the 10ltr my son bought the 25ltr. BOTH HAPPY.
