The Death's Head figure is my absolute favourite Marvel Legends figure, and is one that I had been wishing for for a very long time (I've drawn the character professionally several times for Marvel UK... that's my artwork at the 3:24 mark in the video!). The only thing I disagree with you about is the whole convention exclusive thing. When I heard this was going to be a SDCC exclusive, my heart genuinely sank as it would have made it practically impossible for fans here in the UK to get it (and seeing as Death's Head is a Marvel UK character as well!), putting as huge downer on the initial reveal. Thankfully though he's been released on Hasbro Pulse, so I was able to get one and boy, Hasbro knocked it out of the park!
People were complaining about Giant Man, but it's twice as large and detailed as the old BAF and cost like the same when it retailed, it was worth it for that reason alone.
I can't believe that you put the HASLAB Giant Man on a top ten list with regular Marvel Legends figures!🤯 Odin is a deluxe offering so he is kind of an oddity too. Power Princess should have been there somewhere.
Power Princess is a great figure from this year for sure. I like her as a “figure” but have limited connection to her as a character and that is really how you make my list
Has anyone gotten their correct eyes for Giant-Man? I still haven’t gotten the correct eyes for my Gaint-Man. I already contacted Hasbro customer support and they said it’ll be shipping mid-December and it’s January.
I haven't opened many of my purchases from the last couple of years as I don't really have a display shelf right now (in between homes kinda) but that alternate Wasp head looks gorgeous, I'm definitely keeping the cone head on the traditional figure, but considering how many other wasps I have, there has to be a place to put it, if not, it works as a Betty Brant.
I'm a great fan of your content, knowledge and collection. BTW, I think your Giant Man is haunted / possessed, it moves its head by itself at about 23:40.
I saw Odin in person. I was originally going to pass, but couldn't resist, it just looked to good. Odin's sculpt is Hasab level. I wouldn't have payed three figures for it, but I justified two to myself.
Hi.. great one.. list like these makes all the more sense as when as kids reading comics back then we never have to worry about liking a character based on pop culture agenda..Make Mine Marvel 😉
Man I just gotta say I love your content! I found your content two years ago while waiting in line at a con 😂 fast forward now I’m getting married and two weeks and me and my fiancee love watching your videos together!! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next year and thanks for the great content!
It’d be so cool if Hasbro keeps adding to our mystic arts display. Top of my list are Baron Mordo, Cyttorak, a blue and green Dormammu, and Nightmare. I’m curious, if we get Nightmare would you rather have him in his blue suit or his green suit?
Hasbro's face-printing tech really makes a difference these days. The recent Quicksilver ML was such a banger mainly because of the face-print, since the rest of the fig was just painted costume detail over the Vulcan buck (albeit REALLY clean!).
I haven't been waiting nearly as long for Beyonder, but he's been one of my most wanted ever since reading Defenders Beyond. Very happy to get him and Titania (and that new She-Hulk!) Between those two, the Warbird, Power Princess, and even lesser known ones like Lilith and Hallow's Eve, it was a pretty great year for Hasbro doing female figures. Very much looking forward to next year.
I love the list not your standard “every UA-camrs” list. I love the reasons and the diverse figures. Greats stuff man and merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and your family
I was somewhat leery about putting the money down on that Odin, the pictures I'd seen looked nice, but I had some sticker shock when it turned out to be a $60 deluxe figure. But when Amazon had it on sale I relented and oh man, the pictures didn't do it justice. In person it's an absolute stunner. Now where the heck is our Warriors Three 3-pack?
SO nice to see such a different list from everybody's favs this year. Really shows some individual taste and aesthetic, not to mention actual comics knowledge. I was super happy to see you'd picked the X-Cutioner, a seriously underrated figure in my eyes. Nice work man.
Love your list and love the channel! I don't agree with your pick of the Wolverine though. The hips are too wide and don't meet the proportion of the movie character. It's also too yellow and needed a darker paint wash. Also I feel that they cheaped out by not giving you alternate sleeveless arms.
Great video! Small correction, Wolverine and Rogue were rereleased as Target exclusives, not Gambit. And of course, like most Target exclusives, I had no shot of getting one.
@@CarbonScoring i pre ordered mine from gamestop the figure looks great especially since the joints are pinless but i wish he came with a regular intact shield but regardless the figure is amazing
Got to disagree on that Wolverine movie figure. I saw it in person and laughed and passed on it despite wanting one for 20 years, the body is proportioned like lumpy cosplay. How does the human look so much better than the artistic representation? My favorites were the Venompool rerelease (sold my BAF for $75 and bought for $35), Odin, and the Deadpool movie Colossus.
Love the list! I feel Odin is my favorite legends of the year. Such an awesome figure. I still have to get beyonder. I feel giant man is his own category.
The giant man is so cool And also u should put the 80th Anniversary wolverine it is gust like the comic the Deadpool was cool but gust buy the sh figures it is so articulated. Have a great day carbon.
She-Hulk, Ghost Rider, Punisher, Iron Fist/Power Man, Movie Wolverine, X-Men 97 Wolverine, Dracula, Power Princess, Odin, Hulkbuster. Not in that order.
I absolutely agree that Deadpool and Wolverine are amazing, Wolverine is still on my list but I finally have a deadpool. I'm still waiting for Itsy Bitsy and Codex
Those are definitely in the running for the top 10 - I thought the head sculpts on Phoenix were kinda meh - in fact, I ended up putting the old Dark Phoenix head ont the new body in my display. Astonishing Wolvie is a good figure, it just didn’t really bring anything new to my collection. But both are excellent choices
That’s what’s great about collecting. Depending on how big your collection is or what characters you’re familiar with you’re openings will differ wildly
Respect your opinions but damn only a few of these deserve the top 10. That beyonder is not beyond avaerage lol, weak articulation and accessories and little to no paint, just subjectively its not that good. Not having punisher, pheonix or ghost rider is insane
Actually just got Punisher today, so that was why de didn’t have a chance - it is a very Jim Lee version and has me thinking of doing a Punisher Mystery Box - anybody interested?
@CarbonScoring I respect your list as you went for obscure figures you have been wanting for years. I don't like or care for most of them and ML lacks in improving their molds. I just hate Hasbro, the same line who makes GI Joe's and Power Rangers does not take the same care and ingenuity for those IP's into ML. Compare a PR or a Joe to a ML and sometimes it hard to believe it's the same company. My list would include all the popular mains that they just slightly improved on. An example I'd use is, I collect so many obscure Joes I don't even know because this line is so well made and the care and love is felt. Classified Duke is incredibly made and so still good, retro Duke was improved upon, but you could still go with either one and you'd still be good.
@CarbonScoring no they have been objectively bad this year. Terrible lack of good sculpt, paint and accessories. Having new characters is cool but I don't see the point if the figures are bad
@ OK. I just don’t think so. As someone who owns every Marvel Legend every produced, for me the synergy of articulation and sculpt has never been better (does that mean they may not be as articulated as years past - yeah, that is fair) and the face printing is so superior to what we had before.
@@CarbonScoring cool that you own all of them and enjoy them but just look at that movie Wolverine man.. the sculpt is so bad and it has almost no paint. The face is nice but the rest of the figure looks like trash. It's true for 90% of the Marvel Legends figures, even the Haslab looks bad
The movie Wolverine is ATROCIOUS dude…the super skinny arms, ridiculous non-muscular torso….huge miss from hasblow, like 90% of the lazy horseshit they regurgitate annually
Unfortunately the prices of the legends going now to$25 and being announced that they will be going to $27 before the year is over. I am out. I will only be buying discounted, clearance or second outlet figures. So target and amazon clearanced figures( which there are a ton. ) Or Ollie’s and Ross outlets. Fortunately. Here in Kansas ollis started to pop up all around us, I have been to six different Ollie’s and it has been glorious. I pay 40% of the asking price. So at Ollie’s $8 to $10 a single normal figure, $18 to $20 for two packs or deluxe figures. Now at Ross you can pick up mcfarlane dc figures for$5 to $6 and marvel legends for $8 to $10 again I have to wait and it may take me a bit longer to fill in my collection, but I will be paying 25% to 40% compared to everyone else paying full price. They are toys not worth $25 to $50 a figure. Oh hell no. So you do you I will do me and I will just save a ton of money . Sorry.
No need to apologize- I think you bring up an excellent point. This hobby is meant to be fun and that means there is no right or wrong way to do it. Keeping things in your budget is a vital part of staying in the hobby - in some ways, the way you are collecting is more fun and satisfying- like you said, it may take you longer to get everything you are looking for, but the hunt is a big part of the enjoyment. I am a completionist and I pre-order all my stuff - that works for me, but that most certainly doesn’t mean it is right for everyone. Thanks for watching and I really appreciate the feedback
I love how you give us history on the figure and what came before I appreciate that! that helps a lot
I try to give as much information as I can!
I'm glad to see someone finally put Death's Head on their list!!😁
Heck yeah!
Haven't paid much attention to Marvel Legends this year. Space is getting tight, so nice to see what's been out.
Same here honestly. Not only that, but all the other action figure lines are just doing a lot better than Marvel legends

The face and overall head sculpt on the Wasp are perfect. Looks like something straight out of a 50’s Sci-Fi movie.
Yes! That is exactly the appeal!

My sentiments exactly. A great character long overdue in ML
@CarbonScoring thank you, my friend! I really enjoy your channel... Keep up the awesome work! 👍

That Odin figure is just so amazing! This top ten is pretty good and reasonable, what a great channel.😮💨😮💨👌👌
Glad you liked it - I put a lot of love into these lists!
Love the ML Phoenix! Such a beautiful center piece!
People were complaining about Giant Man, but it's twice as large and detailed as the old BAF and cost like the same when it retailed, it was worth it for that reason alone.
'80s comics goodness 👍🤘
You know it!
FYI, there's an even smaller Wasp in that costume produced by Hasbro in their 3.75" Marvel Universe original Avengers box set.
wow! I forgot that one!

Agree with you about xcutioner. It was one of my favorite toybiz figures 😂❤

The only bad thing about Deaths Head is had to purchase Deaths Head 2 on the secondary market . The good news 2 isn't that expensive .
No ghost rider…he was a 2024 release, right? A figure with a vehicle has to be in there!
I agree with others that he is kinda small - but he was very close to making it
I only have Deadpool but he rocks!
totally does!
I agree with the iron fist and deadpool
Half life Would also be incredibly hard to survive
yep!

Nice!
