    Great!😁When my children were small- now they are about you age- we made sauerkraut by stamping the kraut(s) :) by feet. It was fun for all of us... Memories by a German granny 😊

    Great looking sauerkraut! A possible video idea - how do you decide which crops to plant where in your veggie garden? Do you focus on companion planting or just randomly place them in their paths depending on your liking?

    • @thefarmingchefs

      Good idea, I will put it in our video idea list and I will definitely give insight on how we decide ont hese things :)

    Finally somebody who knows how to make sauerkraut. I never ate one with cloves, we use caraway seed instead but different regions, different traditions.

      I also have tried the recipes with caraway, and actually love the spice. But not all agree. I also love to make varieties with cumin, nigella seed and with things like curcuma and curry spice. Really I love the versatility you have in home fermentation. Do you ever try out any variations?

      @@thefarmingchefs Yes, the caraway seed is mainly german/hungarian/balkan style.

    Happy to see the way you made the concrete floor. It seems you are happy with it?

    Do you have some tips on how to best store fresh cut herbs? Also, what herbs will be most wind resistant? I have a windy terrace and the only thing surviving is mint, barely 😢

    • @thefarmingchefs
      @thefarmingchefs  5 місяців тому

      Freshly cut herbs, are best kept in a closed container (if they are not wet) Parsley is great for wind, thyme, rosemary, sage. Mostly wind is detrimental when the plants are still very young. Maybe us e a closed growing box (nursery) for the first stages? This is for a balcony or a garden? :)

    Bravi but stay away from the charcoal dust could be very dangerous for your lungs at least use a filter musk.take care

    Why the loud music?????

    • @thefarmingchefs
      @thefarmingchefs  5 місяців тому

      May I ask if you are listening with a head phone or with speakers or straight from the laptop? I find that there might be an issue with the sounds depending on the medium. Also are you refurring to the first scene (laying the floor) or all throughout the video?

    • @saraoum91
      @saraoum91 4 місяці тому

      That's the only thing that I don't like in the videos, is the music

      @@thefarmingchefs it's personal maybe not everybody agree, watching videos about homesteading, preserving and nature should be relaxing and with no music and if needed it should be calm.
