This is a test with a standard C4 version in which AEB does not have the detection of pedestrians and cyclists. If You want full AEB functions you have to buy it separately as an option. It's stupid to even consider AEB in a crush test, but I'll always put a Citroen in place of any other car when it comes to safety.
@@raulkeeper2512 we actually got a golf 8. It's not perfect, it could have been better. There are parts that disappoint me, but the drive is good. Tbh, I've never tested c4, so it wouldn't be fair to comment.
@@uralmutlu4320 we rented one on holiday and it was terrible. Unstable and light steering, bad lane assist, cramped rear head room and a tiny rear view mirror. Golf way better 👍🏻
@@SF-rs3xmfor me is quite opposite. After trying other cars, Golf was tested too (hyundai I30, Captur, Elantra) i opted for C4. It had the best confort of all cars. I don`t care about performance but confort. It looks good, it drives good (for my standard) and is very comfy. Steering was perfect, i really don`t like heavy ones. I have a Passat B6 too but after buying the C4 i don`t even bother to start that car again. Even on highway here in Europe i don`t drive more that 120 km\h and usually i drive kinda slow. C4 is a car made for confort and not sportiness.
AEB breaking is limited to around 50 km/h speed reduction. But the car has an brake support wich rises the breaking force to avoid a collision. They maybe do this to reduce the risk of a sensor malfunction accident.
the version they tested dint have the radar system meaning it was very limited becouse it only used the camera ... if you buy the radar option which is 300€ then the car totaly transforms in terms of safety
@Alan Cobbin it 's a safe car for the chassis but the avoidance system needs setting finner. May be the provider of these systems is not good. Who is he ?
Anyone in their right mind should not buy a Citroen, you will not be able to find parts in the slightest accident, you will have to wait for months for parts.

my wife has just put down the deposit for golf 8. C4 looks great but we didnt test it. Part of me still fancies C4.

It is a 5 star, I dont care about assistants, I drive the car, not fucking Ursula vd leyen, and I switch off everything is possible.
When the windshield remains intact after a crash, it indicates that the car is very safe.
Car might look nice and b pillars without crumpling but that avoidance system is really not good for a 2021 Car.
