I made my own translated recipe just for fun :) Original recipe: SIX LAYER CHOCOLATE DREAM: 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Turn the machine to low and mix well. 3. Slowly pour in the vegetable oil, scraping down the sides as needed. 4. Next, add buttermilk and eggs, mixing on medium speed until all ingredients are incorporated and the batter is smooth. 5. Slowly add hot coffee and when all is combined, pour into two greased 9″ cake pans. 6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. 7. Let cool on racks. 8. To make the frosting, wash out the mixing bowl, add softened butter and powdered sugar, and cream together until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. 9. Scrape down bowl, add cocoa powder and corn syrup, and mix for another 2 minutes. 10. Add hot water and mix until combined. 11. To assemble, slice each cake into three layers and spread a layer of frosting between each one, finishing with a layer on top. Languages used: (on google translate) 1. Telugu 2. Polish 3. Danish 4. 🤣😆
You two are so so adorable!!!❤ especially the parts where Alix thought Zoya is praising her but actually she isn't 🤭🤭🤭 loved watching the video 🤩
thank you!
I have the feeling that Alix knows more Farsi then she is letting on.
Ok it may be that I’m biased since I’m Persian but I LOVED Zoya like can we please see her in tasty videos more often?
Thanks :)
Zoya is on alixs channel often!!
I agreee so mucchh
I would love to see more of Zoya cooking!!
Zoya isn't a part of Buzzfeed or Tasty. Her independent work is amazing though and she's on Alix's channel!
Alix saying bah bah bah for every little thing is a mood ❤️❤️❤️
That’s so cool. As an Afghan American who speaks Dari/Farsi, it’s so cool to see how Iranians say different words for items and how the accent is. I personally love the Iranian accent and the people in general. Love the representation. 😊
They are the cutest together! I think they really found their soulmates... plus this dish looks amazing!!
As a language nerd, watching someone learn a language for someone they love is soooo cute! I love these kinds of videos so much 🥹
😂😂😂 The amount of shade Zoya used in this video was hilarious!
Very yummy looking dish!!
Thank you :)
Not only was this literally a JOY to watch but it also almost made me cry! I never see anyone talk about Persian food/things and its just so lovely to see the representation!
wow!! as a Persian person this is kind of a treat! I didnt expect this ❤️
Me too! It’s great to see our language and culture represented!

Idk where Alex gets her energy from but this whole thing was sooooo cute!
She did extremely well all things considering and didn't get frustrated or stuck at all. Like wow this was a breath of fresh air Alex picked up on soooo many words. She seems like a very smart, perceptive, adaptable person!
Eee! I’m an Iranian who speaks Farsi, and this meant a lot to me! Thank you Tasty producers!
This is so cool! I just learned I'm part Persian after being raised only knowing of my Spanish & Mexican heritage. Fun to see food being prepared and hearing Farsi. My family has had several restaurants so cooking runs deep in my blood:)
Farsi is quite similar to Hindi so as an Indian or a Hindi speaker I can understand some of it
Like numbers two and four is the same in both languages
She says ek too and pyaz they also say sugar similar to shakar, gulab
I’m not sure about Hindi myself, but I know Urdu and Punjabi are heavily Persian influenced to say the least. Languages themselves show so much history that we overlook.

Mean Zoya; saying something in Farsi and then telling Alix it was something encouraging when everyone reading the subtitles knows she's barefaced lying
These two are absolutely freaking adorable together!!!
Zoya is so in love with Alix. So smitten. Even if Alix doesnt follow she is so cute with her, trying so hard :) I can feel the love. Alix dont ever let ZOya go!!!! You are so lucky!

I made my own translated recipe just for fun :)
Original recipe:
SIX LAYER CHOCOLATE DREAM:

FunFact: Farsi has many its words derived from Sanskrit. Farsi is one the major languages spoken in India and Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. Also many Farsi words in modern day Indic languages including, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati and so on.
when she told her (slowly) it sounded similar to what i hear in turkish dramas ,and the word (now) is similar to what we say in arabic levantine dialect
@@raneemk4615 Yeah, and the most of the indic languages have a lot Arabic, Persian and Turkish influence because of their invasions. They are called Aagata Shabdas/Videshaj or Adapted words in each indic language.

Hi guys honestly for me as an iranian as well I really love this dish which is actually mainly called tah chin as we also make it at home sometimes it's one of my absolute favourite dishes to make and I really liked how you wanted someone from a different culture learn a new language and cook a dish from a total different culture than hers please keep teaching her more iranian dishes & keep on going with these vids bc even if it's the first time I've seen such type of a vid on here I loved it so you guys should definitely work on more iranian traditional recipes love ya 🥰💘💘💘
When she said Bah Bah, I was totally surprised coz in Bengali we say the same(conveying almost the same meaning but can be meant as sarcasm as well) except with the A sounding like the A in wAter. And then without any surprise it sounded similar to Hindi as well.
In hindi they say vah vah..wich is exactly the opposit of bah bah in farsi. And there are alot of loan words from farsi in your languages.
Ba bare..another Bengali!
I love this concept, it'd such a beautiful thing to see others learning through a language they don't know, or with little vocabulary of said language
